This is the go to place for authentic Italian specialties. I have been shopping here for forty years. If you want the real deal then you must try a dozen or two of Florence’s signature raviolis. Get a nice chunk of cheese or a bag of grated cheese and a quart of Marinara and you are in for a fantastic supper. We have also used their catering on many occasions. Homemade cavatelli can’t be beat. The eggplant parm is fantastic and sliced thin and perfectly cooked. Mmmmmm getting hungry thinking about it. Cyndy and Ralph are so helpful and will always go above and beyond for you. They learned that from Ralph’s parents Tony and Anna who ran the store before them. Always holding on to grandma Florence’s sacred recipes and personal charm. You will not be disappointed.

Yum yum yum! Many specialty raviolis, prepared meals, pepperoni rolls, soups, everything made right there. Easy rear parking, always a special dish prepared like rice balls, meatball sliders, flatbreads… the list goes on. I believe closed Mon, Tues

Simply said, «I love this place. I have lived in Scotch Plains for 17 years. The owners instantly made me feel welcomed and appreciated as a customer. Needles to say this has led to Florence Ravioli being a well anticipated weekly shopping destination. Now for the good part. I have lived in Brooklyn and grew up in first generation Italian American neighborhood on Long Island. No where I have been has made more consistent, and delicious pastas. Their ravioli is exceptional. Every variety a «the home of rectangular ravioli» is tasty. Their whole wheat pasta’s are exceptional. When I visit family, I bring coolers filled with ravioli(cheese, lobster, spinach, sausage), manicotti, stuffed shells, cavatelli, fettuccine, angel hair & spaghetti. There assortment of take out meals is exceptional. Veal chicken, shrimp and pastas. If you have tried their meatball sliders or calzones, you are really missing something special. Great cold cuts, Italian sausage, bread and fresh mozzarella. They have catered several large family party’s through the years. My family looks forward to them every time. I absolutely love this place. It’s my go-to for frozen dinners, cold cuts, and also fresh food(try the rice balls — they are fantastic!). I love all Italian food, but I don’t always have time to cook a large meal. It’s the perfect solution. Just heat it up for an excellent meal, in the comfort of your own home. I’m usually in here once a week. And I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and convenient homemade Italian food. PS. Be sure to try their ravioli — I love it — it’s one of my favorite foods and it’s what they’re famous for!

Happy to have this«real» food business in my general orbit, especially in its new spot next to Johns meat(masterful marketing stroke for both old skool businesses). Excellent fresh pasta and bread, I haven’t tried the other prepared foods. The ravioli etc I have purchased was fresh and clean. However, now that u mention it, I also noted a seedy vibe going on in the back of the place, facing parking(its a shared area with johns, my town bakery and A very cool comic book store). If you are handling my food, I don’t want to see you sucking down butts, and a fresh shirt and apron along with a shave and even a smile might be nice — double so for any owners/partners. Still, there is something I love about seeing that old sign and knowing that there doesn’t seem to be anything fake about this place.

I love to shop small businesses so I stopped in to pickup some pasta for dinner. I parked behind the building and came in through the back door. Walking up to front of the store was gross. The stench of smoke hit me as soon as I walked in the door. I wouldn’t eat anything from this place, so I walked out. I would give it 1 star, but to be fair, I’ve never tried the food since the stench of smoke had me immediately disgusted. If odors don’t bother you, check this place out and let us know how the food is, since we will not be back to check it out. Thanks for reading.

eggplant stromboli tastes like cinnamon rolls with not a trace of eggplant. Loaf of bread is good. stromboli terrible.

Excellent homemade ravioli and stromboli. Note this is not a restaurant; this is a store and deli that sells outstanding homemade food. I pick up their homemade pasta at least once a month. Highly recommended.
