Came here for a vodka club and a booty call. Got both. What a great night. Cannot wait to come back again!

So first of all, if you’re looking for a place to drink before 11PM and you want to get a seat at the bar easily, this is the place for you. The clientele don’t show up until well after hours generally. Drinks are okay but INCREDIBLY overpriced. Seriously — manhattan prices in suburbia, you better be making something really, REALLY exceptional. Ash trays come out late so apparently smoking at the bar is still okay. Haven’t seen the owner in several years as his son now seems to own the joint. Quite frankly, the son is a dope. Ignores paying customers to play some dice game with his friends, chomping on a cigar… looks as douchey as the décor of the place all around. Carmen(owner) was a little creepy in some ways, but he was at least customer focused — would buy back drinks etc etc and so on. New guy may well do it for«Regulars»…but would certainly motivate folks who’ve been there for a few hours to come back if he did it for them on occasion too. With many options for drinks in town now, there’s really no reason to go to this place(unless you want to have oral sex in the beaded curtain cubby hole thing… seriously…there’s video of it online someplace). Beer is in bottles, nothing on tap and while the«house made» infused vodka/tequila are good, they’re really not any better than your average mixed drink made with standard vodka/tequila and stirred in with the flavor of your choice. 2 stars because the cheese plate is still good.

Worst bar ever. they have no beer on tap and the bartender pulled oit his wiener sorry to be graphic but it actually happend and my wife felt uncomfortable we had to leave. As I was walking out I saw into one of the bathrooms. lets just say it was xxx. I feel uncomfortable writing this and making this place sound so bad but this is all a true review. Just thing twice

I’m gonna give this joint 2 stars and here’s why. Everything about this place is awesome! The decorum, the music and the vibe. The main issue I have with this establishment, and I’ve been here twice. The first time, I brought a burger in from Darby road(the bartender told me it was alright) and the 2nd time to see if I was mistaken about the 1st time. The issue is, the incense. This place burns 50 sticks a night and smokes you out. Your clothes reek and your breathing in «African love» or whatever flavor their burning that might. It’s way too much, over kill and a turn off. The manager, I’m guessing, keeps lighting them up all night. It’s horrible. The crowd is young, 20’s, and the staff is friendly. Please, please 86 the incense, it’s beyond incensative, it’s offensive.

As you walk into this place you are instantly reminded of either Austin powers or that 70’s show. This place has been designed with that era in mind. The shag carpets, the random couches and artifacts it all takes you back in time. To me this place has always been the spot to end the night with. You handle your business elsewhere show up here around 1a.m. and the crowd has showed up from all the surrounding bars that close earlier. They have some specialty mixes that are lined up at the bar and quite potent and in addition to that they have cheese plates to pair your drink with. All in all a cool, hip, trendy local spot that has a lot of local rumors about what possibly happens in the basement. The mystery remains…

A very unique place! Worth it to go inside and check out the décor. I’ve never had food here or found it to be extremely exciting other than exploring the various 60’s gems around the room. It’s quiet enough to sit and have a conversation and drinks with friends. It’s a «once in awhile» type of place for me and my friends.

This lounge is a great idea. However, I can’t say it ranked high on my list only because it was completely deserted when we came in sometime in November around 10pm on a Saturday. At one point we were the only patrons there. As time went on, some people came in but it was cliquish and the staff was a bit aloof. I enjoyed the retro décor and the music they played. The drink selection was limited. Basically, it’s a great concept but it’s not nearby and the atmosphere is a bit lackluster. I don’t think I would return unless I brought a large party of friends with me.

I’ve been to Vienna 60 a handful of times over the last 4 years … twice we’ve had company holiday parties there, and they’ve been a lot of fun. The atmosphere is really fun, and if you love the 60’s, this is the place for you. Very Austin Powers. Their drinks are pretty good, sometimes a bit pricey, but I personally recommend their pomengranate martini. I had my first ever pomengranate martini there and now I’m hooked on them! Delish! The only thing that I wish they would do is offer food. At both of my holiday parties, outside food was brought in, and even on one occasion, the owner offered to order pizza for us and have it delivered. Talk about service! I just think that they have a great thing going, and if they add food to the mix, people will stay and drink even longer!

I am definitely coming to this place again!!! The décor of the place alone gets 5 stars! I walked in and my mouth dropped. Everything was so detailed. It was a cute, retro, and eclectic. The place had a Austin Powers and a Kundalini yoga kind of vibe. The little room labeled sex cracked me up. I went early to try it out so, I could not get the feel of how the place operates. Why, because I was the only customer, but the bartender was cool and made a decent margarita. I also had a drink infused in fruit and it was okay. Next time I know to go late night because they are open from 5pm to 2pm.

I tend to always black out when I come here, so if we ever met, uhmm Hi. This place is pretty awesome for being in the middle of SP. Who would of thought. Drinks are good, décor is sweet, and the service is great. Keep up the good work!

If you drive by this place you wouldn’t realize it was there. Once you notice it I suggest going inside to check out the groovy décor(notice I use the lingo from the 60’s…damn I am funny). It’s almost a scene out the Brady Bunch. Lava lamps, early 70’s style furniture, great music selection from the 60’s/70’s. Went on Saturday night and was impressed with the low key, chill crowd. The crowd was older(50+) with a few young couples sprinkled in. The TV plays current stuff but it would be cool if they had shows from the era playing. The bar staff was quasi-friendly and being busy is no excuse(place wasn’t packed). Their prices are definitely from today’s era. Don’t get me wrong, the atmosphere/décor makes up for the crowd. I was able to have a conversation without loud music in the background. It’s just loud enough to hear it but not overwhelming. If you are in the area, know where this place is located and have been meaning to stop in, I recommend doing so. Their website is crappy and gives you no information except the address but the music is cool.

Really cool spot, definitely a great retro vibe in everything about the place, from the furniture to the crappy lava lamps to the drink glasses. The televisions(playing Mean Girls?) don’t really add to it, but whatever. It’s a good spot to go with a few friends, just most of the rest of the crowd I saw when there did not seem to get or care about the place. With groups of people who felt less than legal drinking age imbibing next to us and a couple of cougars kind of takes away from the place. Still it’s definitely worth a visit, just be aware that the clientele might be a bit high on the douche factor and have never heard of Free Love or any other 60s/70s type lingo.

I really admire the owner of this place. It seems he appreciates music and ambiance. There arent many place around SP where you feel you walked into«special place». This is one of them. Unfortunatley I cant frequent the place more often, none of my friends live around here and my boyfriend prefers the couch to going out. They have board games you can play and a great retro vibe. I would definitely come here for some after dinner drinks with friends. I do wish they would play their music a TAD bit louder though. I love to talk, dance and hear the music when i go out. A lot of bars(especially in Elizabeth and Newark) play their music at decibels that are meant for dancing or torture, but at Vienna 60 they keep it to a afterthought. I believe a balance can be achieved. If you are in the area and want a place with some character, come check it out.

This is definitely the place you want to be the next time you’re out chasing rabbits. Great date location: the atmosphere is very BLOW-UP meets ONHERMAJESTY’S SECRETSERVICE, with a little Austin Powers thrown in for good measure. Funky, shagadelic furnishings, some covered in animal-print, beaded curtains marking off a cubbyhole in the wall marked SEX — how liberal and free thinking — and wallpaper slathered with the likes of Twiggy and Jackie Kennedy. There is a Frank Lloyd Wright-esque fireplace decorated with a tv playing videos from the Sixties, like Nancy Sinatra’s THESEBOOTSAREMADEFORWALKING and the McCoys HANGONSLOOPY; another tv was playing SUNSETBOULEVARD — we came in at the pivotal«Alright Mr Demille I’m ready for my close up» scene. There is a big wall-hanging of an oversized Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band album cover(check out Aleister Crowley standing by Mae West and some Indian fakir, I always did). Piped-in music selections include The Yardbirds, Gary Plunkett and the Union Gap Band, Scott McKenzie, Linda Ronstadt and the Stone Poneys, Jefferson Airplane, etc. The bartender looked like a young PP Arnold, former Ikette, was very cool, and made sure we had everything we needed. The bar seemed quite animated for a Wednesday night(but hey, it’s the velvet goldmine) filled with odds and ends. My lady friend and I sat on one of the couches, perfect for a heavy snogging session, taking cocktails, eating cheese and crackers, and flicking through the old Playboys and Time magazines. It’s definitely one of those places where you say, ‘I can’t believe there is something this cool out here in the burbs” much less Jersey!

great décor and stiff drinks. not a lot of choices in this area for drinks but this place hits a home run. When you walk in, you feel like you are in someone’s living room. Someone’s living room who lived in the 60s. Shagadelic carpet and old skool tables and lamps. Can you dig it?
