Moving to NW Indiana was miserable for my husband and I food wise. We had been unable to find any decent Asian food, so we made a monthly trip to China town. I noticed what looked to be a little hole in the wall and thought why not? I was shocked at how clean and modern the interior was. The owner was very friendly and helpful. They have nice variety of Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese. The crab rangoon are hand made. The food portions are outstanding and it is delicious. I highly recommend checking this place out!

Had lunch with my Donald today and we decided to try something new. We had been contemplating this place for a while but we just weren’t sure. The outside of this establishment isn’t what I would call«inviting». But this place was recommended by Donald’s friend Mike… his brother owns the place. So we take a step inside and right away we realize the inside is much nicer than the outside. AND… the bathrooms are clean. Always a necessity. We were the only ones there(which at first was a slight cause for concern) and were told to have a seat wherever we would like. We were served our water with a menu and I was so delighted to see options for Thai food! Donald ordered the Hot and Spicy Beef and I ordered the Thai Tofu Mix Vegetable. We both requested for our dishes to be spicy and they were… and delicious! My tummy was thrilled to be eating such yumminess! Our entrees were served with a bowl of white steamed rice. Our lunch was served«family» style I guess… We had our entrees in front and shared the big bowl of rice.(Refer to picture.) John, our waiter, was very nice and I’m sure he would’ve brought individual bowls had we asked but I don’t mind sharing my food with my Donald. =] Lunch was complete with a reasonable check and fortune cookies. I have to add not all fortune cookies are the same. They have the tastiest I’ve ever had. As we were walking out the door I asked for just one more and with a smile he handed me two handfuls! =] =]

This place was not bad, but the food that should have been spicy was anything but. In addition, the prices were kind of high for the portion quality/size. There are certainly better deals in the area, but this is a solid, middle-of-the-road type of place. It is actually a cute little restaurant if you decide to eat in. It is a solid 3.5 stars, but since I am in a good mood, I will round up.

I realize that Chinese food is like art for most people and there are many different facets to what makes a person like what they like, and Luckly Dragon is(at this point) one of the best Chinese/Tai places in the region.
