Love the sweet and sour chicken and the chicken fried rice. They give you a good haul for the money and we always have leftovers for another meal. The owner is really nice too!!!

Yes, I agree with others. The food is great, but the décor is 1960 ;). It does not matter, the food is great, fresh, made to order, and inexpensive. I have eaten all over the world… this still one of my favorites! I eat lunch here weekly… This could be the last of the«real» Chinese food… not like other places.

You mean Unilocalers out there, back off of my place! this place might be a dive, but it is amazing!!! They are so clean with their food preparation and handling and you always get a ton of food with your order. The owner and his daughter are always there and really nice, honest people. I remember when she was younger, she would always be there doing her homework on the table. It really warmed my heart seeing two amazing people going after the american dream. Their General Tso is amazing! The best I have ever eaten, when I go home I eat here every day for lunch. I mean their lunch special gives you a ton of food with their egg roll for $ 7. Seriously? So chap and so good. There is enough food in there to last you for 2 meals. Their egg rolls are diving. Huge and filled with delicious meat that you can actually see. Their crab rangoons are soo tasty. Most places crab rangoons are just filled with cream cheese and oil, not here. Here you get these deliciously crispy beds filled with sweet crab and cream cheese flavored a bit with spices. No dipping sauce required! So people, stop with the hate, have some General Tso and continue the love.

Why would this guy steal 20 or so cents from me? Step inside G. Jin and you’ll quickly realize he must be trying to fund a badly needed remodel. I mean, everything looked clean and tidy, but it’s obvious they embrace the role of Chinese«take-out» as this place offers all the ambience of my mechanics waiting room. Anyway, my $ 4.35 beef chop suey lunch special was okay flavor-wise and there was a ton of decent rice in the container to make it very filling, but I would order something different next time. The egg roll, on the other hand, was just wierd. It looked pretty normal on the outside but when I bit into it, the inside portion wanted to come out whole. It reminded me of the wet grass that gets stuck under my lawnmower with the way it clumped together. I was even afraid to pour soy sauce on it because I didn’t think it could penetrate the sticky mass. Whatever, G was courteous enough when taking my order and put everything together nicely in a plastic bag… he even gave me not 1, but 2 fortune cookies! I’m thinking he was just lazy about the cash register and actual tax rate nonsense, instead opting to ask me for a quick $ 5 so he could go back to reading the newspaper.

I’m not sure what people are talking about, but this place is great. I’ve since moved to Boston and haven’t been able to find any Chinese food as flavorful as G. Jin. Their pan-fried noodles set the standard for me — light, flavorful and perfectly crisped, with a thin sheet of oil and tossed with scallions. Their house fried rice is dark and flavorful with lots of meat and shrimp and could be a meal in itself — none of that white rice tossed with a little soy sauce. Mongolian beef is perfectly spicy. The place may be a little worn, but it’s not dirty or anything.

Yeah the place is kinda dingy… and the service is meh… but the lo-mein is fabulous and their lunch specials are massive and cheap. One of my favorite cheapy Chinese carry out places.
