Recently purchased a ratchet and socket and didn’t end up using it, purchased it in walnut creek and walked in to return it at the new Saratoga store, I guess since its franchise they wouldn’t take the return, called the walnut creek store and was told that if its an item carried in the store they take returns from all ace stores, to the guy who didn’t bother even checking what I was returning on his computer thanks for the hassle and poor service. Won’t be shopping here anytime soon.

I am thrilled with the new ACE hardware shop in Saratoga! I’ve been twice now and each time when I enter I am greeted authentically with «how can I help you», they mean it. The employees are kind, helpful and simply wanting to find whatever it is you need. Believe me, they have whatever it is you need! The store is stocked from top to bottom. Highly recommend this store. Forget Home Depot, Kelly Moore and OSH! It’s so easy and just a much more pleasant experience. It’s like shopping in the 1950’s where the store keepers actually care about the customer. Way to go ACE!!!

Saratoga Ace Hardware store is a very welcome addition to my neighborhood Argonaut Place shopping area. When I first noticed the new store. I thought, «with such small square footage (the old BlockBuster Video store), I bet I’ll never be able to find what I need.» Well, I was surprised and pleased when I walked in and saw the HUGE array of products. The two people on staff at that time where extremely helpful and knowledgable. Knowing your stock and understanding how to use it are two very important qualities in hardware store personnel… something lacking in most of the big box home improvement stores. I took off a star only because of their hours. If I need something after 7pm I’ll have to trek on over to you know where, ugh! :-)
