Meghan Flewwelling is a gem! She’s got an incredible eye for color and a real understanding of what will work best. I trust her not only to give me the cut I want, but to make it better with her knowledge and style.
The salon is a comfortable, friendly place. Have a glass of wine, relax, browse the incredible R+Co products — they smell so good! — and the Fox + Foal handbags (handmade by the multi-​talented Meghan). Laura, Heather, and Rachel are all excellent stylists and I’ve seen several instances of the stylists exchanging ideas, techniques, and tips to make everyone’s hair better.

I’ve had multiple appointments with Meghan Flewwelling and she is just the best. She does a killer highlight, cut, blowout, updo — you name it! The environment of the salon is very inviting and the stylists are all very personable. I’ve never seen anyone, including myself, leave the salon anything but satisfied. I’m very thankful to have this salon in Saratoga!

Horrible experience. Laura does not know how to cut hair. One side was longer than the other. Choppy and uneven. And all she cut was the bottom. She has an arrogant attitude. As the owner I would have expected she have a more gracious attitude. The worst hairdresser ever.

I have gone to Laura for 5 years and the only reason she won’t continue to be my stylist is because I moved so far away… If I could fly back for cut and color I would– her artistry is THAT good– she is worth every last penny and all of your time.
The salon has a great atmosphere, takes you on time, gets you out when you need to leave, and prices are more than fair. Laura herself is an honest stylist and will listen to what you want. But that’s not to say that she will let you walk out with a hairstyle that is decades old… she will most tactfully consult with you for the latest techniques, colors, and what works for your lifestyle. The products that she carries are personally researched by her with the best intentions of providing something that is healthy for not just your hair, but your whole body. I don’t know one salon or stylist that doesn’t just go with a name brand «just because». Laura actually cares about what she puts on your hair/​body and you will *not* find that anywhere else… You just won’t.
Any negative review is seriously questionable, because Blue Peregrine emits customer service and expertise when it comes to beauty (hair, nails, makeup artistry). If you’re reading this review– at least try the salon once (but prepare to be hooked!).

Overpriced, less than mediocre haircut. Uninspired, out of date hair cutting techniques. Dirty salon. Will Not return. Disappointed.

Fantastic salon in a great neighborhood! Located in the art district section of Saratoga, this salon is in a picturesque area where it’s easy to find parking. I went to see Meghan and she did such a great job on my hair. I had my hair colored and she really did a perfect job and was very thorough. She corrected and vastly improved my color and my hair as well. She really did a tremendous job.
The salon is very pretty and they carry an impressive product line. This might sound silly, but I have a huge pet peeve at salons-​when they leave you with color marks all over your head. I left here with not a mark on me! I had to go out that night and I didn’t have to worry about trying to remove color stains from my skin.
I highly recommend Meghan and this salon!

Wlecoming, cozy salon where they really listen. Laura did a great job on my foils and cut. Prices are fair for top notch service. highly recommend it.

Blue Peregrine Salon is such an amazing place with fantastic Hair Stylists. Rachel has been doing my hair for 4 years and she is incredible. From color to cut to style she is defiantly the one to go to. Also Heather does my extentions and she is fabulous as well. The salon is so cute and cozy, they serve coffee, tea and wine. Who doesn’t love wine while getting your hair done. If i could give them 100 stars i would. Love that place!!!

Laura is an amazing, compassionate woman who knows exactly what to do! I’ve never in my life had a «regular» hairdresser and now I have found one. She’s knowledgable and amazing at what she does. The salon itself is stunning– simple, sleek… just a relaxing atmosphere. A great addition to an incredible street.

Laura has been the only woman to touch my hair for four years now. I have never found a stylist that I not only love as a person, but completely and I mean completely. trust with my hair. She is so honest, which I definitely appreciate in a stylist. She has such a creative mind and suggests things that I would have never thought of myself. I have recommended countless people see Laura because I believe in her and her talent. 100% of those I referred to Laura continued to go back, making her their personal stylist. One of the referrals happily travels from Latham to Saratoga just to have her hair done by Laura.
Do not be off put by what you may hear regarding the location of this salon. Beekman street is a beautiful and peaceful place with friendly neighbors, up and coming restaurants, and small businesses. It’s charming that I’ve seen Neighbors of the salon pop in, say hello and introduce themselves offering their best wishes. If you’re looking for a laid back, beautifully crafted salon then I highly recommend Blue Peregrine Salon. You will feel at home.

This review makes me wonder how businesses can protect themselves on Unilocal from disgruntled employees or independent contractors who were asked to leave the business.

What I know of Blue Peregrine is this:
* the owner and stylist Laura is phenomenal at what she does. I come to Saratoga just to get my hair done by her — she’s that good!
* the pricing of services is on par with others in the area
* the space is gorgeous — bright, welcoming, and very cool aesthetically
* Beekman Street is a thriving arts district with an amazing array of businesses from this salon, awesome restaurants and bars, inspired artisans, a bike shop and a florist!
