Excellent place to get a beer and a slice. This is my neighborhood watering hole when I get hungry and discover upon fridge inspection that I am completely out of food. From a project management stand point this is a terrible confession but let’s review: is it? Having a solid plan B that works every time IS the key skill of project management LOL Great place, I’m there once a week or some times more often

Solid pizza and great service can’t complain. Pizza won’t blow you out of the water but it’s pretty good! Good beer selection too, really like the environment and the people that work there looks like a fun place to chill

The pizza is pretty good. Got the medium Dimitri, but omitted the garlic and added basil instead. Because of that small change, they made a mistake on the original order they took over the phone and it took over 30 mins to wait for the original pizza to realize they made a mistake and had to make a new one, another 20 mins. Didn’t ask for comp or discount, but should have. It’s a nice friendly, local pizza joint and within walking distance of my parents’ house. Would order again.

Could be the best pizza in the Bay Area. Plus they have a great gluten free pizza. Good beer selection and great salads. Staff is pleasant and the bar has a cool funky vibe. Check it out.

When I’m craving delicious, no frills pizza, this is the place I go to! The pizza is always great! We get a large pizza, and it just never disappoints! Its perfect for a night in with a movie. Normally I order takeout, but the atmosphere seems like your typical casual sports bar kind of place.

This pizza place right here is without question my pizza spot. Why? Can I simply say, «Because I said so,» or «How dare you question my ability to determine what is and what is not my pizza spot» and be done with this review? If so, I’m super glad some of you readers are so easily satisfied with the«Because I said so» kind of reasoning. But if not and you really want some particulars, I’ll go ahead and list some of the whys below. First of all, the pizzas are super sized awesome, and there’s always something more intrinsically delicious when bigger pizza is involved: more toppings, more cheese, more grease which means more flavor. .. all good. Second, it completely embodies what a neighborhood pizzeria should be(with an SF twist(did you say local organic? okay maybe not totally local organic but the creative combos are for sure SF)). To paraphrase a line from Inside Out, thank you SF for your tasty take on pizza. Lastly, whether you’re just wanting to grab a brew and catch the game or really in the mood to gorge on an extra spicy Rotten Robbie, The Pizza Place is where to go.

Best Pizza I’ve ever had!!! Went there on Valentine’s Day night but we still got a table fast and got our food in a decent time despite it being busy. The wait staff was friendly and efficient and the ambience was very relaxed. We had the Dimitri and it was AMAZING! The cheese was creamy and savory the pepperoni is crispy the crust was fluffy with the right amount crunch and the sausage was well seasoned. Needless to say I would travel all the way down to San Francisco for the pizza alone!!!

The pizza place is pretty good. I’ve been here a good amount of times and I’m surprised the ratings aren’t as good. I usually just make my own slice of pizza and pick a few toppings, one slice is enough for me –my boyfriend gets 2. It can get busy on the weekends and there is a wait sometimes but never too bad. Last time we went on a weekday we got seated right away. Good pizza! Cool atmosphere with all the Santa Cruz boardroom skateboards. Excited to go back again :)

3−½ stars?! Are you people on glue!!! This place rules! We fall back to eating out usually once every two weeks. We pick up our kid from school, and on the way home come here for a pizza and a beer. We’ve been doing this for about 5 years now and have never… NEVER been disappointed. Not once! Our favorite is the broccoli and tomato pizza, which is perfect. Some of the others are the Aloha(a Hawaiian– style pizza with some changes), Dimitri(sausage and Pepperoni), and the Rocha(too many ingredients to mention). All are excellent. Great beer selection as well. Five stars across the board. Kick out the jams.

Terrible customer service. I ordered a large pizza on a Sunday night. It was not busy in there. I waited 35 minutes as expected. I asked four times was it ready after the wait time, they asked me twice while I was seated if I had ordered already?! Then at 60 minutes the same guy that asked me my name at 45 minutes came to me and said they are making it again as they mixed up the tickets. No apologies or offer of a credit. I asked to be credited my money back. There were about 6 staff. 4 different workers said the order was next. If I was offered a free pizza for the trouble I’d return but they didn’t even offer a sorry.

I live close by here and always see people coming in and out of this pizza place. I called & ordered the demitri in 14 inches. The worker said the pizza would be ready in 30 mins. The total came out to be 22.29 $ with tax. –Wait is considered long for the pizza. –When I picked up the pizza, I expected it to be warm but I guess they’re not the type of restaurant to hear your pizza while you come pick it up. –The pizza is really oily. –Like other Unilocalers, my mother found their sausage to be salty but I didn’t think that. –I saw a guy making salad, and maybe the workers should try wearing gloves or having a sense of cleanliness. It’s disgusting if they deal with money with their bare hands AND cook with their bare hands too. The overall price of the pizza was pricey in my opinion bc it’s not like this place is famous or anything. Would come back and try another style pizza maybe when I’m in dire hunger of it.

Update: My new pizza loves: The Rocha and the Hawaiian. Yum! — — — — – I used to LOVE this place, especially Timmy’s Pie. Went last night, looked at the menu, & ordered a Timmy’s Pie. Total bummer. The thinly sliced roasted potatoes were replaced with potato chips! Gone were the mushrooms too. And the caramelized onions were actually pickled. Sooooooooooo NOT what I had ordered or wanted. Please change the printed menu to reflect the changes. Never would have ordered the«new» version. Total waste of money.

Hot spot in the outer sunset with delicious pizza. Service can occasionally get compromised when they get busy, hard to place phone orders to pick up pizza.

Great laid back feel with super pizza. I love the Buffalo sauce on everything. Great beer selection and best to get in early or call ahead of you have a big party. It’s the perfect spot for a slice and a beer and the patio is great on most days. There are a few off the menu slices like the Big Wave Dave, the Taco slice and the Danny…;)

*Long wait, cool atmosphere, decent pizza, excellent service* Service got this place an extra star. The pizza is pretty good, especially when hot. Lots of seating space, plentiful street parking that gets filled up pretty quickly. ORDERED: Medium Cheese Pizza for a little under $ 20 Walking distance from the beach. Recommend.

I really, really want to love this place, but I can’t anymore. The food is plentiful, but pretty average. It’s comfy and casual, but I wish the service was less so. The last 4 times I’ve been there at night, the service has been very, very unprofessional. I’ve waited at least 15 mins to place my order after being seated. Then, I’ve waited at least 20– 30 mins for meal to arrive at the table. Forget about trying to time when the check is going to arrive, or not. The servers range from friendly and neglectful to spaced-out and neglectful – common denominator? Right. I want you guys to stay in business. I don’t want another craptastic hipster hub. Please get it together, and btw, turn up the sound for the games. Everyone wants that even if you don’t. Pay attention to your customers.

None of their ingredients are fresh or organic. They use canned toppings. Most of their condiments from this place expired a month before they use it. All employees don’t wash their hands. They all smoke pot & then make people’s food. Plus they put their cheese & incoming produce on the floor. Also their dishwasher lays their silver ware & plates on the floor. Plus the dish washer washes the dishes in a unsanitary manner using cold water. There’s a high chance of finding hair in your food too. Plus there are a lot of fruit flies it’s like there’s an infestation in the business. They get in your drinks, food, & face. Plus they have a rodent infestation where they keep their produce, & food. Their metal trays in which they cook the majority of their food they let them degrease in the compost bins with the trash. Also they leave their cutting boards on the floor.

Before heading to Noriega Produce, husband and I decided to grab lunch here. It wasn’t busy on a Sunday. Sweet potato for appetizer… huge slices and it actually goes really well with buffalo sauce and ranch sauce. That ranch sauce was realllly yummy! I want the recipe! Pizza… thin crust with right amount of toppings. Not the best but good. I don’t remember what toppings we got but it was good. Service was good.

This place seems like it would be great for people who can eat regular pizza but I came specifically for the Gluten Free Pizza since I have Celiac Disease and can no longer eat wheat… for anyone that wants to hate on me for this kiss my ass… I would be sucking down all the gluten in the world like i used to, were it not for doctors orders. I have an actual DISEASE. not a fad. Anyways…I was sad to find the GF pizza was really hard and lacking in flavor. I applaud them for trying to do something so difficult. Making GF foods taste good is REALLYHARD. I just wanted to let the other Celiacs know there are better GF pizzas to be had. The other people seemed happy who ate the regular pizza.

Great pizza! Super crowded so we opted for take out. Enjoyed a couple of beers and the sweet potato fries while waiting. The sweet potato fries were awesome! Baked not greasy and still had a light crisp on the exterior. Will definitely be back!

I love how family friendly this place is. Lots of room for groups and maneuvering a stroller. The staff was friendly and helpful; offering a new spoon every time our two year old drink dropped hers :) I love love love the kale salad. The pizza is good, but a little greasy for my taste. I appreciate the $ 10 pitcher of Pabst and the 2 big TVs to watch sports. Overall a nice casual place.

Hands down horrible experience. I ordered for pick up and when I got there I saw my pizza there with my name on it. I waited 20 minutes(I was timing) at the counter for someone to give me my pizza and ring me up. I repeatedly asked can I pick up my pizza and I kept getting«a someone will get to you» response. Worse was the workers rudely told me to get out of the way when there was no where else for me to stand inside. Like I’m going to stand outside and leave the counter area so you can forget about my pizza and talk to your buddies drinking at the bar(really I saw all this). It’s also expensive albeit a large pizza and it’s not that great tasting. All the positive reviews are probably because of the lack of choices in the area. Unfortunately, this is an example of a business run by the mean hipster types not the nice ones.

We ordered the 20 inch dimitri pizza on a Saturday night for pick up prior to the Warriors playoff game. They gave a estimated 45 min wait time for the pizza. The pizza slices are HUGE. It’s like double the size of a Costco slice pizza. I had two slices and wanted to knock out. The 20 inch pizza can probably fill up 4 people easily. Our dimitri pizza had a good amount of pepperoni and ground sausage on it. The downside of it was that it was way too salty and very oily. I think the ground sausage was the culprit making the pizza too salty. I would probably come back and order again, but definitely would choose a different pizza.

If you’re out in the area this place is worth a try. Long wait for a table because there is not much else out there. Lots of families w/kids so tables clear slower. The meatballs are great. Pizza ok/good — thin crust isn’t my fav. The red sauce is tasty — both of the pizza & meatballs.

We arrived right about 12:30PM and just missed the lunch rush! The place filled up with families and groups of friends within ten minutes of our arrival. Crisp crunchy perfect pizza crust, robust sauce, delicious cheese, and fresh ingredients. What a great pizza place so I wasn’t surprised! We has the Veggie which included red sauce, artichoke hearts, spinach, bursting cherry tomatoes, kalamata olives, cheese and peppers. We also split a spinach salad with goat cheese, bacon, cranberries, and almonds that was delicious and full of flavor and even my toddler chowed down on it(that’s a good spinach salad!). My favorite part of the salad was the dressing that was full of caramelized onions and a slight bite of mustard. The service was A+, it was extremely family friendly, and parking seemed easy and within walking distance of GG park and the beach. Love it! Thanks for a great lunch.

Seriously great pizza. Crust is perfect and thin and not soggy or greasy. The demitri is awesome. Nice crumbly sausage not the chunky frozen kind. Only negative was the service. There basically was none. We had to ask for everything. Place had a good neighborhood vibe to it so if you have the time or want to catch a game it’s perfect. Otherwise get it to go.
