Ok bar, cheap but they have a regular with a motorcycle that annoys the hell out of me. If it wasn’t for him I would go there a lot more often. Sucks that one person can make such a negative impact on the bar name

THis place is a fun welcoming place, everyone is nice an I even got whistled at an called some complimenting names from women . Pool table is great and I love the karaōke, Amanda Rocks! Yes she does, and she rocks the karaōke here every Friday. Everyone comes here to have a great time and you can tell by the smiles on there faces . The location isn’t bad either . Theres plenty of parking, just don’t do anything stupid like I did and break my key because there are nothing but tow away signs all over if you have to leave your car overnight which I did. The drinks are great here, I left with a smile. I really enjoyed myself. The stools are real cushy. I am gonna have to give this place two thumbs up and all stars. I heard this place used to be rough, it seems like a really cool welcoming place to me tho.

This is a chill little bar. I came here Saturday night for the karaōke. I am really starting to appreciate these small dive bars I can go to and not have to deal with the hipster/trendy mentality. The recent makeover of the inside of the bar has that old school 1950’s booths of red naugahyde feel. There is a lot of room with stools and tables in addition to the booths and a long bar. There is a pool table and dance floor. The prices are excellent. You can’t beat pitchers of beer for $ 12.00. I can’t wait to go back.

The place had a makeover and now has a vibrant red vibe outside and in. The patrons are chill, the bartenders are pretty cool. They have an ATM that’s in good shape. Good bathrooms. I don’t drive, but my friends say parking can be a pain. It’s off the 14 Mission line if you gotta take a bus. Check out karaōke nights with Center Stage Live! every 1st and 3rd Saturdays. There are some really good singers.

I was riding my bike by and the place looked lively. Though not THAT lively for a Saturday night. I’m 29 and I was the youngest and whitest person there. There was some kind of bad karaōke thing going on, singing shitty songs without a word display(well who needs one? We all got tired of these songs 20 years ago). The bud light I bought was $ 3 The regulars did not seem too friendly. An old Mexican lady scoffed at me when i tried to bum a cigarette. The whole thing seemed kind of uninviting.

My friends and I went here on 8−17−139pm’sh. I already know Gus and Patty from«Center Stage Live» for their karaōke. As we entered the bar, immediately my friend knew some friends from the past, so yes it’s a small world. I ordered a pitcher of midwer hefeweizen, which is $ 9.50(I noticed the center portion of the pitcher, what they do is insert ice there to keep the beer cold – got about 4 glasses. We step out for awhile and returned, my friend ordered a long island and I also ordered one, it’s only $ 4.50(probably an error) for reasonable sized glass and the bartender did have the correct technique. Gus gave both my friend and I some budweiser, he’s hella cool. Both of us sang a fair amount of songs, karaōke is for 9pm-1am, but they extended till 1:40am’sh. It’s an enjoyable hangout

Fun times! I went for the«Just for the hell of it»(or whatever it was called) party last night and I guess it was the most packed that its ever been because it was spilling out the front door. Which I am sure was not abnormal… lol There was a DJ mixing it up and the fire was going, boxing was on, along with some other sports on ESPN, everyone was having a great time, no drama… so what else could you ask for? Ah, the drinks… right, it is a bar huh? Yes, good drinks(strong!) were had and after about an hour or so, things got blurry… Great staff + Good stiff drinks + Fun & friendly people= Good Times :) I would repeat!

Stepped into the connection, because I wanted to connect my hand with a nice cold brew. Never been here before but my dad lived a block away back in the days so yeah, there’s a child hood connection to this neighborhood. A dive bar in every sense of the word. The faithful patrons of The Connection truly make this otherwise quasi quiet watering hole come to life. Nothing fancy, nothing to neighborhoody or kitschy, nothing sketchy either. Just some middle aged — blue collar — highly entertaining city worker type folks. However, the fireplace gives this joint some panache. One guy at the bar, a real big dude — imagine if you will a 6’4″, 266lb pregnant man. Like literally! He had the same physique as Kate from Jon & Kate plus 8, before her sextuplet delivery. Anyways, me and my homeboy Kris were in an intense game of 8 ball on their $ 1 pool table. We were simply enjoying our $ 3.25 Hefeweizens when the aforementioned bar patron pauses from random bar banter of F-bombs and Beyotches between himself and the KTVU news staff on the tv and challenges me to some pool. Pregnant man was a pool shark! He starts shooting my balls in while talking about Jeet Kune Do. I’m like WTF? Back to the game — he schools me and gets the 8 ball in on a 2 rail bank shot while I have 3 balls remaining on the table?!? I later find out he’s a security guard — ohhh, that’s why! The orange vest guy, who had a striking resemblance to Ned Flanders from the Simpson’s, was GENUINELY happy that we came in. He starts introducing us to the bartendress and says they hardly have any customers during the weekdays even though they have $ 7 pitchers, but it’s $ 8.50 for a pitcher of Hef. He also told us about The Connection’s karaōke Fridays @ 9pm. These guy’s vibe and energy was surreal. It’s like in the movie Stepbrother’s when the two brothers start making bunk beds after finally connecting and bonding for the first time. The patrons make you feel welcome. Karaōke Fridays at 9pm. I just might have to.
