The Art Bistro is amazing! I’ve known the owners for five or more years and they bring excellent customer service. Thai treated me with care and offered me a free drink when I was a young boy, because I used to stop by everyday! The area is also perfect for middle and high schoolers to grab a snack after they get off class! I definitely recommend their Thai tea because the price and taste is just something you cannot argue with.

So ironic because right before we came to The Art Bistro, I mentioned to my bf that I have not found a coffee place near his house that I love. Moments later… we checked into The Art Bistro and I was delighted! It’s such a cute/cozy/neighborhood coffee shop and the women here are extremely nice. We just ordered one hot coffee and one iced coffee & both were grand! We didn’t try the food here but maybe next time because that apple pie in the window looked lethal!!! I’ll def be back soon!

The Art Bistro is a small coffee shop. I prefer to order my coffee to go because there is not much room to sit inside. But if you find a spot it’s a cute place to sit and enjoy a book while sipping on your coffee or eating one of their delicious bagel sandwiches. I enjoy coming to this spot before walking to the beach. I love the blended mocha, it’s basically like a chocolate/coffee shake! The prices are very affordable, however it is cash only!

Cappuccino was alright. The apple pie was delicious though, with a lot of «real» apple taste to it; and whipped cream. 3.25 $ for a big slice of pie is very fair!

Egg and cheese croissant sandwich was all right — it’s hard to screw that up. I like the option of hot sauce. Cappuccino was the worst I’ve ever had. Bad. Horrible. Bad. I asked for a cup vs paper cup — ignored. Double bad. Cash only… Hmmm … Maybe if the food was awesome an d your prices were better? Asked for where the sugar was — got eyes rolled and pointed to a place with dirty plates next to the sugar. With so many wonderful places to go in SF — I wonder how these guys are still in business?

I came in today with my son, we were on our daily walk. I went in and asked for a cup of water(I normally being my water bottle on our walk) and the lady said they do not give out free water. I was so surprised. Not even a small cup of water. Wow

A really nice café with great black coffee. Say farewell to Starbucks. Personally I think their cakes and pies are too sweet for me.

Hands down my favorite little café that I stop by on the way to work as often as I can. They make excellent coffee drinks and it’s decently priced given the quality of the brew. A selection of croissant and bagel combinations are available. Each croissant or bagel sandwich is made with care and well balanced in taste; my favorite is their sausage egg and cheese on asiago bagel… oozing with cheese, it’s definitely a guilty pleasure that I will get on occasion. Service is exceptional and like many have commented here, the staff make you want to have them as your aunts or other family members. The shop is very clean(100 health score… have you EVER seen that?) and I like their assortment of plants laying around. The only down side is that it is cash only. I’d give it 6 stars if I could =)

This is probably the best café in the Outer Richmond. There’s a decent selection of caffeinated beverages in addition to snacks and meals that will fulfill any appetite. My usual bev is the mocha frappé with almond milk, banana, and peanut butter(try it sometime!) They were not hesitant to add what I had requested and they didn’t charge me $ 1 for each addition like some other cafes do. The bagels are on the chewier side and not too dense and bready, which is my preference. And the staff are not skimpy on the fixins. All of the staff I’ve met are super duper sweet, they remember my orders, and they make me feel valued so I’ll definitely be a frequent flyer here. :)

Amazing service. The staff is so nice. They have the best hot chocolate in town and a really good Thai iced tea. Bagels are fresh and loaded with cream cheese! Try the Apple pie for a sweet treat. I love this morning spot.

Face it: The 18 bus is just not coming. You might as well go inside Art Bistro and patronize the last bastion of decently priced coffee in the city. Also, I wish the owner was my mother or some sort of guardian angel. I’d probably be ruling at life if this were the case. She is a genuinely sweet person, who plants this odd feeling in you like, maybe today will be great? maybe everything is going to be ok? maybe true love does exist? Anyway, she is the best!

A toasted croissant sandwich? Yes, please. For $ 5.95(cash only, ATM fee is pretty high) you get a killer croissant deli sandwich and small side salad(iceberg lettuce, but still, the price!!). It was delicious. I’ve assist tried a slice of their apple pie. Pretty good. The lady who works there(maybe owns it?) Is super nice. One time my neighbor and I were moving a couch from the street to my apartment and she came out side and insisted on us borrowing her dolly. She had no idea who we were. Crazy nice.

I was out looking for a comfortable café where I can unwind and get some serious work done — after reading the positive Unilocal reviews and then checking out this place mysefl, I couldn’t be more pleased with my decision. I got the breakfast bagel(sausage egg cheese with hotsauce) and WOW my mood could not have been more improved. Everything about this bagel blended together PERFECTLY, the temperature, the texture, the flavors. It is like physically consuming a warm hug, in this case a hug for my tummy. On top of that, the décor and plush couches evokes that cozy warmth of your cool aunt’s living room. The two behind the bar are full of smiles and friendliness! Def coming back for the apple pie next time.

I wanted to give 5 stars but the seating situation isnt ideal. It’s a pretty small space… You can’t really spread out with your work stuff here, or even do a laptop and paper. What is ideal? breakfast bagels(the asiago cheese egg thing is amazing and cheap!) newspaper situation(NY times, LA times, Chron) espresso drinks health score(100) customer service(super nice to everyone and it feels genuine too!) price(yes, I’m the queen of cheap) wifi This IS a 5 star place if you think of it as a ‘to go’ café, which many people seem to do as they are clearly just waiting for their bus. I want to sit and do the crossword puzzle, read the paper and maybe work online a little, but it’s not the best place for that. Cash only, but there’s an atm if you are in a jam…

My friend looked up on Unilocal someplace to go for breakfast that sounded good and was on the way to where we were going, and I’m so happy this is the place she found! It was soo good! The place isn’t too big, and there were two friendly ladies working there. There were a few other customers there, but not too crowded. We all placed our order and grabbed a seat at one of the few tables. 3 out of the 4 of us got a sausage, egg and cheese on a croissant and it was amazing! I don’t even know why it was so good, but it was. My other friend got a ham, egg and cheese on a bagel, which looked good too… but I’m a New Yorker, I’m not eating a bagel out in CA. One friend also had the smarts to order a slice of the apple pie(that looked amazing just in the pie case) for us to share. They brought that over to us when they knew we were down with our sandwiches. It came out nice and warm, and there was whipped cream and maybe some caramel on top too. It was so good, and gone in seconds. This was a cute little place, and when/if in Cali(nearby) I would definitely go back!

I’ve been coming here since a year after they open. It just occur to me that I’ve never posted a review on here. The Art Bistro is right on the corner of 33rd and Gary. When I was in high school, I can smell the fresh smell of ground bean immediate as I get off the 1 California. This place give off such a relaxing vibe, which I think most café had already lost this vibe. I feel like a café should be somewhere where you can sit back, relax, and forget about the problems in life. The food is always deeeeee-li-cious. The workers are so hard-working and friendly. Even with a tough morning they will greet you with a big smile while showing off their pearl white. I cannot find another café to substitute my love for this place.

It feels like home in here! Service was terrific. There is an ample of work space that is quite comfortable as well. There is a lot of foot traffic during the day, which calls for lots of people watching! Prices are fair and their espresso was strong. The sandwiches that were ordered look delicious and super fresh. I indulged in a warm flaky chocolate croissant. I will definitely be back if I’m in the area.

We love this place! It is walking distance in our neighborhood and has a great consistent quality to the food and drinks. Their Chai Tea latte and Frappes are my favorite drinks, but my husband loves their mochas. The Everything and Asiago bagels are my favorites and on weekends we like to splurge on a bacon, egg, cheese croissant sandwich. While I love the food, the women that work there are my favorite part of our morning. They remember us and greet us and make us feel like we live in a small town instead of a giant city. I will be so sad if we ever have to move out of this area. It is cash only, but they have an ATM.
