Food was very good. I just wish they’d post their prices cause I feel like the prices change. But still excellent food.

I stopped by Taco Bar this afternoon because I was in the neighborhood. Ordered a carnitas burrito(without any chips, I might add… those are extra) that came to $ 12 and change with supersizing and tax. Expensive! But when i went back for a regular size can of coke and they wanted and I paid $ 2.12…I won’t be going back

Meh not impressed. I can get better tasting Mexican food from my local Taco truck in the east bay for a fraction of the price. Your wallet will cry from the outrageously priced menu. The fact that they don’t offer free chips with your entrée kills me. The food and service aren’t too shabby. I’ve had better elsewhere. Unfortunately, there aren’t any alternatives so I’ll be back so long as I’m prepared to burn a whole in my pocket.

It was my first time here. If were to describe the energy of this place Id say fresh. The energy is moving and its positive. It might have been the time I walked in I think they just opened but the whole place was really clean and EVERYONE was super good vibes and willing to help with anything. The food was fresh and really tasty! The owner and the staff here have all around good vibes and I like it! Definitely will be back! THANKYOU! :)

Underwhelming and overpriced. $ 20 for two tacos and a quesadilla filled with mostly beans and pico de gallo. It’s interesting that they don’t list the prices on their menu.

From their amazing specialty margaritas to their great selection of tacos this place was awesome. I asked about the spice level and they automatically suggested putting it on the side and adding as I wanted. They have fun card games to practice Spanish and the vibe is very friendly.

I’ve eaten here twice now. I work in the area and the options for a 30 minute lunch are slim. The first time, they charged me ~$ 8 for a bean and rice burrito. It was flavorless. Big deal, another«Mexican» place in a rich white area that has no idea what they’re doing. Today, I was craving a breakfast burrito and my boyfriend brought me one from here. It was maybe 1 egg scrambled with chorizo on one side and then those flavorless rice and beans on the other side. Unimpressive, and I could barely tell I was eating chorizo. Then, halfway through, I bit down on something hard and metal. It looks like it was peeled away from iron wool. It was in my burrito, my flavorless, flavorless burrito. I will never waste money or time here again, and for anyone looking to avoid being charged $ 8+ for tasteless dirt, I urge you to never even try it. EDIT: Tacobar staff has since reached out to me to offer a refund and their deepest apologies. I stand by my review 100%, but it is always worth mentioning that they care deeply about their customers.

Quick and yummy! Vegan options available. There was a long line but it moved quickly. Best to grab a table outside, there seemed to be more room than the inside tables.

Excellent pollo taco ! I could’ve eaten two more generous with pollo. Tea was good a little under sweeten for my taste.

Boyfriend and I were wandering around looking for something small to eat and came upon tacobar. It looked pretty good with a full menu so we decided to give it a try. Best random find ever. The carne asada taco was super good. Not only do they have the regular soft shell they have a hard, sweeter shell outside that makes the taco crunchy but soft at the same time. The guac was super tasty and the steak was meaty and not fatty. The salsa had a nice kick to it. I didn’t try the torta but boyfriend said it was really good. The churros were really yummy with the right amount of crunch but also a soft cream filling. Wholly satisfying. The staff were friendly and we were greeted with smiles and were served quickly. I don’t know if it’s because I didn’t have any expectations that I am so surprised by the quality of this place but I do know I’ll definitely be back.

Tacobar is small surfer taco spot located in a nice little area in SF. It’s a good place to grab a quick bite, but don’t expect anything too authentic. During my visit, I had a chance to try their baja shrimp taco. Baja shrimp taco(3⁄5) Their baja shrimp tacos are composed of tempura fried shrimp, mango & jicama salsa, Cole slaw, and guac and cheese shell as requested. The shrimp wasn’t very crispy. The batter was extremely thick and fell off the shrimp even before I bit into it. However the best part of the taco was the mango and jicama salsa. Its a perfect combo and tastes delicious. The cheese shell also adds a nice additional flavorful crunch, so I highly recommend you add that on. Overall, a good place to grab a quick bite, but their food falls a bit short for me.

Cheap and cheerful neighborhood taco bar with plenty vegetarian options. Liked the bright red/blue/yellow décor, but would have liked to have prices written on menu board, kinda weird to order blind. I tried the tacos, and they were very generous with the guac, bonus for people who love the green stuff. The taco was inside a crispy cheesy shell which was delicious, but the vegetable selection was mostly carrots, a little disappointing. Two tacos worked out at $ 10 with tip, and they have margarita options that I’ll try next time. Quick and easy local joint.

My favorite taco place in the city. Get the fish and prawn tacos — these are the best ones(baja and camaron) Oh the home made watermelon drink is very nice and very sweet. The place has a nice vibe(teaching you a bit of Spanish), and is across from Smitten ice cream if you’re looking for a cool dessert.

I’ve definitely had better Mexican food before but this satisfied my craving. The service is really nice here and the place is clean with plenty of seating. I got the Baja Pescado burrito($ 9). The beer battered mahi mahi was tasty except there was a TON of cabbage slaw in mine and 1⁄3 of my bites were slaw only. I’d probably get the taco version next time instead. My boyfriend got the carne asada nachos($ 10) which I thought was way better. It was full of cheese, beans, meat, salsa, and guacamole. The serving size for both of our orders was very filling.

Now actually, $ 8.50 for a burrito are not that bad. What you get in return are high quality ingredients that make your fast(Mexican) food a delightful surprise. What converted me into a TacoBar fan last night was their VERACRUZPESCADO — or steamed fish burrito. Fantastic tortilla, the ingredients great in taste, and all nicely presented and wrapped up. Chips and guac — also a delight. Looks like I’m a fan now.

This place is bomb. I love tacos and I stopped in one day for lunch! They have minimal seating but I managed to grab a spot outside to enjoy the(rare) sunny day in SF in July. I highly recommend this place if you’re in the areas! Carnitas was my favorite.

This taco bar was pretty good. I tried both grilled fish and carnitas tacos. They were both delish, but kinda small for ~$ 5 each. The grilled fish came with a red sauce that was very similar to how I’ve actually had it served in Mexico and the green salsa they served at the table was a good addition to spice it up just a little. The chips, salsa and guac just weren’t anything to write home about though. The chips are the really hard, heavy variety and I really prefer light, thin and crisp. This would clearly be a 4 star spot, but the price and lack of good chips drops it down a notch.

I went here for the first time a few nights ago with two of my friends. Started off with a pomegranate margarita(let’s be honest you have to get a marg when you’re going for Mexican… am i right?!) Anyways, we also ordered chips and guac to start off. The only«complaint» I have is that the food came out probably 5 minutes after we sat down. Not saying that it’s bad when food comes out to the table quickly but when I go out for dinner with friends, we’re taking our time, ordering apps and drinks and we don’t want to feel rushed, which we did a little bit. If they had held off on the food for about 10 minutes longer that would have been nice. That being said… Definitely one of the most amazing carne asada super burritos i’ve ever had in SF so far. For those of you who do not know what a super burrito entails… it is everything amazing you could ever imagine: rice, beans, guac, sour cream, cheese, salsa, and carne asada(other meat options available). The tortilla was 100% the best i’ve ever had. It was like silk in my mouth. cannot even begin to explain its amazingness. you’ll have to try it yourselves. Will definitely be back here in the near future!

TacoBar was the perfect finishing touch to my San Francisco experience. I ordered a jicama salad and a pomegranate margarita. The salad was really creatively made, with grapefruit, jicama and avocados, and had the right balance of sweet and tang. The margarita was pretty, pink and oh-so-refreshing. What more does a girl want on a hot summer afternoon? Friendly service, nice seating area, kid-friendly too. Highly recommended!

TacoBar is possibly one of the happiest places on earth for me. It is a little pricy per taco, but sometimes you have to make sacrifices for things you love. My favorites are the Veracruz Pescado and the Carne Asada Tacos Especiales. Me gusta mucho!
