Loved the veg burger ! if planning to try anything apart from meat go ahead !

Good food and out on vacation, but bartender had an attitude and spoiled my dinner, service really sucks, they need service with an attitude ajustment!

the asian lady working here (sunday) was very rude and disrespectful. the food was mediocre so better customer service could have saved this horrendous and dreadful experience.

Cozy pub, but nothing special. They get some credit for serving breakfast all day and I had the smoked salmon eggs Benedict, which was pretty good. Philly wasn’t bad either.

Ehh, this is one of those places where you walk in expecting a kinda meh meal, and ending up with exactly that. So meh. Like if meh was edible, then it would be some sort of meal from the kitchen of Sutter Pub.
You know you’ve got yourself a whole plate of meh when you’re starving, and the food is still barely edible. I ordered one of their burgers here. I don’t even remember which one it was because it was so unmemorable. But it was there and I ate only half of it and I ended up just staring at the other half and heaving a great sigh and deciding that my heart wasn’t in it. No Celine Dion, my heart will not go on so stop singing.
Being honest, I’m a pretty simple man to please, especially when it comes to burgers. But here, I just couldn’t put on a smile and force myself into the meal. Like, this is Applebee’s kinda late night grumpy chef kinda status here. Sorry, but I’ll be passing from here on out.

The food is definitely frozen before hand and is very greasy… Please avoid this place

I don’t think that any part of the meal I had was homemade. It seemed like it was all store bought. It satisfied my craving but I would rather find somewhere else that makes homemade bread etc. I would go back for a beer or something.

Don’t offer a Black & Tan if you don’t know how to make it. Especially don’t charge 8 dollars if you don’t know how to make it. The food was pretty solid, had the Sutter Pub Burger and it was satisfying, not amazing but I would order it again. The sweet potato fries are pretty good, nice and crunchy, lightly salted. My only real complaint would be the staff. They seemed annoyed with my presence and indifferent at best. As an experienced bartender myself, I was very disappointed in my bar service. I’m sorry guys but you need to provide more training or make them barback for a little while before you let them run the bar. I might come back another time and try again but it’s not looking good. At least teach them how to pour beer properly and be a little more friendly.

Totally cool place. Nice atmosphere. Clean, which is a big plus in my book. Walked in on a late Friday afternoon and sat at the bar. Waitress served me immediately. Very friendly people. The burger was amazing ($ 13). Very flavorful. I would definitely come back!

I dropped in here on my walk home because it looked like a good spot for a beer and it didn’t disappoint.
Typical pub grub really with all the usual suspects. I went for the jalapeño poppers and some sausage and mash with onion gravy. It was fine and hit the spot. I wouldn’t say it blew me away but not really that sort of meal.
I’d probably drop in for a beer and bar snack next time and leave dinner to somewhere else. I didn’t really feel like lingering for too long after I ate either and I’m typically going to stay somewhere all night if the atmosphere is right.

Happy to find this cheerful, moderately priced traditional pub just one block downhill from our favorite bar, which serves only superb cocktails. We needed some hearty food for balance, and Sutter Pub provided.

I’m on a roll this trip to San Francisco. I stumbled on this place for brunch Sunday and it was all I could hope for. Egg white California omelette with potatoes and wheat toast was fantastic! The mimosas are filled to the brim at an excellent price for downtown. And there are 3 tvs with sports on. They have wonderful selection of bottled beer, good small selection of draft beer and some fun soju cocktails. The happy hour menu looks fantastic as well. The service was spot on. Not crowded and no rushed feeling.

I am so furious right now with eat24 and these restaurants. They ought to start adding packets of ky in with the condiments since they always like to fuck a person over. Oh wait, you might actually receive some pleasure from their services. Cant have that!
Yeah, I said that. Thank your vile excuse for food for my vile language. I have been working all day and night, haven’t eaten, then make the mistake of relying on these fools to help. Each and every time is more disgusting than the last.
Enough with my jibber jabber. Here’s what’s to expect with sutter pub:
My first impression during the transaction between the delivery guy and me was «wheew, stinks like trash» maybe he cleans the dumpster when he’s not driving? Idk. I took the bag into my apartment and opened it. The odor grew stronger and as I lifted the plastic container, A LOT of random liquid drained down my sleeve and all over the place. I ordered an omelet but what I got was a wet, stinky, soppy, hot, mess. The toast was disintegrating, truly disgusting.
Worst part is I cant get the damn smell out of my apartment.

We wandered into Sutter Pub after dinner since it was close to our hotel. I really liked the red exterior but the food isn’t British. It’s a typical pub that offers American food and alcohol. We were interested in some of the foreign beers they had since we weren’t keen on food. I had the Crabbie’s Spiced Orange Ginger beer, while he had McEwan’s Scotch ale. Service was fine while we sat at the bar. The lighting is dark inside and they have games playing on the flatscreen TVs. The place is kind of small so it’s more of a local neighborhood spot.

Super cute little pub on Sutter in the lower Nob Hill area.
Despite the red exterior and British flag in the window, though, it’s not an English pub. Food is primarily American.
Good selection of beer on tap — they had Guinness, so I was set.
For food, I ate the Mac and cheese. Note that this would be better as a small side and not an entrée. It is very very very rich and very creamy, meaning you can’t eat too much without feeling absolutely stuffed. I love to eat and I wasn’t even able to polish off half.
Would definitely come here again though — would just try something else. Other half had the pub burger and he downed it all. The onion strings and mushrooms on it were good, so I might try the regular burger and add those next time… We will see!

We were looking for a low-​key dinner our first night in town and this was close to our hotel. The place itself is cute, the service was good (we sat at the bar) and the beer hit the spot.
I would say the food was «average» at best — I had the California chicken sandwich and it was pretty bland. Filled the hole but I wouldn’t get it again.
They do have happy hour until 6:30, so it might be better when you can catch a deal!

We stopped in for an omlett and a bloody mary. All was good. Staff was great and attentive

It was raining, the damn Giants were having their World Series Parade, I needed a cocktail so we dove into this place before even checking out the Unilocal reviews.
Place wasn’t full but service sucked ass and not friendly whatsoever, kind of like we as patrons were bothering them. I’m thinking maybe the food would be the reason they even had customers… LIES Katrina! The food was not even edible, burnt and gross orange cheese. Yeah, I think I would rather get a hot dog at 711 than eat their food.

I was craving pub food, walked by this place and decided to check it out. I don’t think that I will me back. The service was slow and my husband was accidentally hit in the head with a bunch of plates by the server. Yes she did apologize a million times and he said it was Okay because he didn’t get hurt, but that should never happen while you’re eating Lol.
Food: If you like food without any flavor, this place is perfect for you.
Service: Slow… so so slow… It took forever to get our food and drinks when it wasn’t busy. Maybe they were understaffed that day, who knows?
I’ll rate this place 2 stars because I enjoyed my beer at least and it was entertaining watching my husband get hit in the head ;)

Yikes this place has gotten some brutal reviews. I on the other hand had a real good experience.
Service was really good. Food was solid and portions were a nice size. I had the strips and fries which were tasty. Would definitely recommend if you are lookin for a place to get a quick bite and apparently you can get breakfast at any time. Score. To quote Arnold -«I’ll be back»
