I love any excuse to go to Super Simple! With my busy schedule, it has been the perfect store to stop at and shop for engagement gifts, house warming gifts and personal home décor. The owner James has a great eye for design and sources unique [and local] products! He even wraps gifts in beautiful tissue paper and a bow! I look forward to visiting. The Penelope candles have been a hit with my friends and family!

I go to Super Simple to find lovely, well-priced home accessories for interior design projects — and I always find more than I thought I would. They also have lighting and furniture, plus loads of terrific pieces for the kitchen. Prices are really good, and the owner, James, is terrific. Helpful when that’s what you need, but never overbearing or hovering. He’s super-responsive and has gone above and beyond for me more than once. Most of the places I source from for projects are out of range for those who can’t afford an interior designer, but that’s not true of Super Simple — James has a great selection of affordable, well-designed pieces. I would recommend Super Simple to anyone who has great taste, but a smaller budget.

Super Simple is located in the basement space below Black & Gold. You can go into the Black & Gold space and take stairs down or find the stairs from 15th Street going down directly into Super Simple. Lots of interesting pieces for kitchen, bath and bedroom. Owner James is super friendly and helpful.

C and I were wandering around Market Street and decided to launch an expedition into the neighborhood. That’s when we stumbled across Super Simple. Actually, finding it was purely accidental. We were exploring the shop on the first floor and were leaving when someone politely asked if we had seen the shop downstairs. We had not and ventured down the stairs. The shop is decorated, simply, in white and is host to a carefully selected collection of beautiful objects, decorative and utilitarian and sometimes fanciful. Meanwhile, a cool Pandora mix(Rhye Radio) adds a groovy beat to the immaculate setting. Virtually everything on display demands your attention and gives pleasure to your eye and hand. I only wish we weren’t minimalists. We struck up a conversation with the owner, James, who adds yet another interesting layer to a perfect little shop. Need to buy a gift? It’s there at Super Simple, waiting for you.

This place was occupied for about four decades by a guitar shop that might have been a front for a pot dealer and now those have gone legit… hence renovation and meeting city building codes. Sooooooo it took months to renovate and this pristine and clever little shop has sprouted in it’s place, genuinely delightful. I got a little item but really covet the compact white leather club chairs. It is super simple with vintage, new, renewed. The fella that runs it also runs the humongous shop on Valencia near 16th called modern which is actually being modernized and will have a new concept. As for Super Simple it is down the stairs on 15th Street, the space it shared upper and lower upper cool too a joint named black and gold, Wheeeeew super simple is not so simple to explain, but a must see.
