So, Sunday I figured I’d grab a quick bit to eat. Ordered for a co-worker and myself. Gave the cashier cash and put the rest on my card. Never gave me a receipt. The next day, I happened to check my account. Come to find out he guy must have kept my cash and charge me twice. Stupid me for not getting a receipt. Poor customer! Worse Subway ever!

Wow. I asked for a 4 inch but they said there’s no 4 inch even though it was on the menu. So I had to buy a 6 inch. The sandwich maker couldn’t hear what I said when I ordered things and he put stuff on very messily. When I opened the subway, it all fell off. And he was not very polite or friendly either. But the taste is still pretty good like normal subways.

This is probably the worst Subway sandwich I’ve ever had anywhere. The lady basically just threw a bunch of stuff on a piece of bread didn’t even wrap it and throw it at me on the counter. I would not go back to this location, if I was starving. rude and obnoxious!

They do not change gloves while switching between meat and veggie sandwiches. Hard core veggie eaters this isn’t a place for you.

Dirty dirty. Food was not fresh. I saw them over charge a blind person. Only when I pointed it out did they give him the correct change. It was the manager who did it

Seriously … has to be the worst subway I have ever been to. I love the one over on 2nd and howard street… they are so nice and the food is great! The one located in the caltrain station is THEWORST! The reason being is because I ordered a salad … I don’t mind paying extra for the double chicken but VEGGIES? I don’t think it’s a good amount of salad when I could put the entire bowl contents in one hand … Not only that but when I asked for extra … she would literally put 1 tomato in at a time … she would yell and argue with me that it is enough … Very poor customer service and very frustrating to deal with! If I could do 0 stars I would!

Before the guy put the bread and cheese in the toaster, I said I want ham, and he added ham in the toaster with the bread. I thought it’s just warming it up, and the guy should know what he’s doing. However, he left everything in the toaster for too long that the bread got very dry and the ham was burnt and inedible. I requested to have new ham. They lady did it reluctantly and kept saying it’s my fault to have told him I wanted ham too early. «Next time, don’t do this or that or that…», she said in the way a Vietnamese mom scolds her kid. If you’ve watched Dat Phan’s comedy shows, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. Of course it could have been partly my fault for not knowing how it all works, but I wouldn’t be buying Subway if I did! Anyway, the attitude in their service is just ridiculous and comical.

Thanks to this subway Caltrain station smells much better than it usually would ;-). Otherwise a Subway like any other. Decent food but the ambience is a bit old fashioned. It’s a good place to get food if you’re in a hurry and don’t have time to go to another place.

Slowest Subway I’ve been to. Ironic as EVERYONE here has a train to catch and is in a hurry. Probably why there’s $ 0.68 in the tip jar… I’ve stopped here three times, it’s been the three slowest interactions I’ve had at a Subway. It’s almost like the employee passively aggressively wants people to miss their trains to they stop coming and grabbing a sub on their way to their commute. I think I’ll just wait until I de-train in Palo Alto, grab a Subway sub on California street. This place is just a mess.

This is a convenient location with operating hours well suited for the train traveler. And it’s a subway. You know what you are getting into. You know who Jered is. ¾″ diameter meatballs scooped from the hot box. Marinara sauce slathered around. That being said. If you ever go to subway and order a meatball sub, you really should take a long hard look in the mirror. What are doing? Where is your passion? It’s a big world out there filled with delicious meatball subs. I know you’re hungry and want to grab lunch or dinner for the train, but don’t subject yourself to that. You are better than that, and you deserve better. Just get the turkey and ham. Save the meatball sub for a special occasion.

Really slow food service right after ucsf. I’ve always loved going to subways but this place has probably given me the least amount of food possible since they were so busy. Overall the food service is pretty quick if they don’t have a lot of people and the banks ATMs are just right nearby so no complaints about thay

I have never seen a sandwich made as fast as it was tonight, even under the extreme duress of the ace screaming at the people making his food. He certainly did not miss his train except if he drunkenly wandered in the wrong direction. The woman behind the counter, who’s name I did not catch, made me a real sandwich, bread, meat cheese and everything, regardless of immense pressure. Great subway.

The carelessness with which my sandwich was made had me regretting ordering before I even paid. The guy kept throwing stuff on my sandwich while maintaining eye contact with me. Maybe someone told him that eye contact means good customer service, or maybe he was showing off how knowledgable he was with the veggies. Either way, it was messy. When he accidentally took too much turkey, he literally threw back the extra. He slammed a spoonful of avocado on my sandwich and didn’t spread it. Anyway the point of the story is that this is the most depressing sandwich I’ve ever eaten. It’s falling apart all over me, and all I can think about is how this guy hates his job and is still at this moment making crappy sandwiches for other sad souls waiting to get onto Caltrain. Yes, I know, I’m reviewing a Subway. But listen guys — I don’t review things often, and it’s not like I went into this with high expectations. I guess I have to give one star because technically my hunger has been satisfied. Thanks Subway.

They had slight attitude and didn’t even know what kind of cheeses they had and didn’t quite talk at all. Their sandwich sucked and the bread was supposed to be toasted but was soggy.

Normally I don’t expect much from subway, but this morning the staff was not listening to the orders carefully. Disproportionate dressings to protein, I definitely don’t want more spinach and MAYO than meat

The staff members are friendly and services are good. Having a sandwich shop in a train station is of convenience. Whether you are passing by waiting to get on the train, Subway Sandwich Shop is here for you when you need a something to munch on. Overall, good experience here so I’ll be back.

Probably the worst Being a vegetarian I have to remind the staff every second on this — to changes their gloves. They are extremely insensitive about vegetarian preference(once one of them got really angry)

I decided to give this place a second chance because I’m having a terrible day and I just missed the caltrain after missing my N judah earlier. The selection for the five dollar foot longs are limited but my sandwich was built well. All the issues I addressed in my prior reviews have been fixed. Cheese was layered properly and lots and lots of veggies! The sandwich builders were very nice. I got a cup of water at no additional charge.

After the Giants vs. Rockies game this past Monday, I was on the hunt for some food seeing as how I haven’t eaten all day. Deprivation due to weight loss isn’t the reason but because work was hectic during the day and trying to rush to San Francisco from San Jose w/a child is no easy task especially in rush hour traffic. Speaking of which I will never take Cal Train to the game again. NEVER! Still early for my train ride home, I started to walk around to see what’s nearby. I did use my Unilocal app to see what bookmarks I have but I didn’t want to miss my train so I stuck around there. I walked past Burger Joint but didn’t want to spend over $ 10 on a burger. I walked by a few establishments but knowing that these are all by the ballpark, high prices are expected. I would never pay $ 10 or more for just 2 tacos. I walked in a pizza joint(SBC Pizza and Deli) but I forgot they were cash only(I went there once back in 2010 before the Giants WS Parade in 2010). A McD’s was right there but I didn’t want to devour anything greasy after 9:30PM although after my experience here, I wish I did. W/nobody in front of me, I started to order: 6″ buffalo chicken on sourdough. I opted for lettuce, provolone, pickles, jalapenos, ranch, and onions… take into consideration that not only was I telling him what I wanted, I also pointed seeing as how he was not paying attention at all. He was paying attention to the conversation he was having w/a fellow coworker though. He put olives on my sandwich… WTF. When it was time to pay, I told him I would like one chocolate chip cookie for my little man but for some reason, he had to ask me twice. There were barely any background noise despite that this is located at the Cal Train station. He asked me what sandwich I got. ‘What did you get again?” Customer service and speed failed miserably… ******************* Dear Subway Owners((I know you guys are a franchise), I don’t have anything against Subway. Though a chain is normally not my forte but I don’t mind spending a few bucks on a sandwich or a cookie. The sandwich itself was pretty tasty though I highly doubt staff that night followed the execution because toppings and condiments(just ranch) were thrown on there and the guy did not wrap the sandwich up adequately… as for the cookie, it was stale and flimsy. I know a family that owns a Subway franchise in Moraga, CA so I definitely know what to expect as far as freshly baked cookies go and what we had wasn’t it. Taste is different for everyone but service is KEY to any business. Just my 2 cents. Signed, — Pissed Off Tram

Service is all right here, but the sandwiches and salads are horrible. The sandwiches are thin and under-stacked with meat. In comparison, Togo’s sandwiches feel like they have 2 – 3 times as much. The salads are also dry and taste very plain, even with all the extras. I miss the old Subways back when their sandwiches were thick and didn’t taste like cardboard.
