Most horrid experience ever. BLT was tasteless. Cappuccino was filled with only foam 1⁄6 of it was liquid. Everything was thrown in a to-go bag when I placed an order. The people who run this place run it like a bloody McDonalds. And to top of this cluster of garbage it’s expensive. So it’s expensive garbage. Never go here unless your dying for something and somehow every other place on earth is closed

The food is ok, the vibe is ok, the convenience is great. I think convenience is the major driving factor for lots of people coming here. It’s right by the caltrain station, has lots of seating and has decent sandwiches and soups but nothing special at that. About the place. Its the usual place your order, get the beeper thing and it buzzes when your food is ready thats pretty common these days. Its pretty self service. Sandwiches cost ~$ 10 which is probably due to location

I like to come to this Panera because they always come through for me when I’m in need. Like any other Panera, you go in, you place your order, specify whether it’s for-here or to-go, pay and go to the back where the food is prepared. Most of the time, they even have someone there to hand your order to you. Each time I’ve come by for lunch, I’ve been in and out in no more than five minutes. Even when there’s a line, they always take care of you quickly and have multiple cashiers present to accommodate the crowds during peak lunch hours. And despite how busy it gets, your order is always prepared lightning fast. One might think that the quality of the food is compromised due to the fast preparation, but it’s simply not true. My sandwiches have always been delicious. Not only that, but there’s plenty of seating and they’re located right down the street from AT&T Park. During MLB season, it’s a great option if you’re interested in chowing down before a Giants game. Keep up the great work. 5 stars all the way

I used to love Panera bread, but not sure if it was because I hadn’t been exposed to better bakeries. Everything here was so below average to average. I got a parfait and it was nasty; not sure why I tried to punish myself. They do have wifi and bathrooms tho, and some outlets if you need to recharge. Only come here if necessary.

Panera is a sure shot! Great Asiago Steak Panini, chips and water with the wife! The panini hit the spot and came right on time! Great location, next to the park

If I go the same place twice, I usually try to get something different from the first time, but every time I come to Panera, I have to have their Fuji Apple Chicken Salad. The chicken is pretty decent, the salad dressing is really good and I loved the dried apple chips. I’m not a salad person, but this is really good. I also got half a Frontega Chicken Panini which was good as well. They press it so it’s a little bit crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and then the cheese melts perfectly. For a pretty light sandwich, it had just enough flavor. Overall, I have a very satisfying meal.

I’m writing a 3 star review because I expected Panera to have a much better Wi-Fi connection. I could barely connect with my laptop nor could I easily connect with my smartphone. Food ordered was decent and good. So, I was happy about that, but I expect more out of their free wifi connection. I have been a fan of the Panera bread since it started several years ago. Back then, the Wi-Fi seemed very good but it seems it has become the second priority for them. The food is decent, so that’s why I’m giving them at least three stars. I primarily come to Panera because it is a refuge when I’m on the road. But if it doesn’t have Wi-Fi then it’s not very comfortable for me to remain there.

Been here a couple times already and its your typical chained sandwich shop. The sandwiches all start around $ 10 and I think the portions are not that great compared to other places for that price. Nothing makes this place stand out compared to other panera breads except the fact that the location is really good, which is why they’re able to stay open. Food is alright tasting, its a good place to grab something quick, to go, or don’t have time to cook.

At 8 in the morning, all you can aspire is at least your chocolate croissant to be warm, fresh, hot and like out from the oven… and not a tasteless rock. Sorry, not coming back, this was ridiculous. The smell of this Panera is very bad too, smells more like a Subway or Submarina than the bakery that the name insinuate. Only nice thing: those drawing on the walls depicting baker life… that seems to be the only real thing.

Had the coffee. Meh. No whole/2% milk and the dark roast was very… Meh. Good if you’re in a rush as there’s usually no line weekend mornings, but if you have the patience to wait in line and want to pay-cents more(like a buck more) head down to Philz — not 50 yards from this Panera Bread location and objectively far better coffee!

I would first like to talk about the convenience of this location. In an expensive city such as San Francisco, it’s so nice to have a place like Panera to be able to do work, or have a lunch meeting without breaking the bank. This location is right next to muni and caltrain, and has a bunch of seats and booths so there is never a wait. The staff are super friendly and the place is very well maintained. I highly recommend it. In terms of food… it’s panera. I often get a dozen bagels and coffee for my work meetings. For lunch, I enjoy the ½ salad ½ soup. My favorite is the Asian Sesame Chicken with dressing on the side, in addition to the steak and white cheddar. I like the fountain drink options too which is not always available in the city. So if you’re looking for an affordable, clean, and nice place, with decent food, come here!

So average. So lackluster. I didn’t go into Panera Bread with high expectations. I know it’s a chain café and that it’s not heralded for its culinary wonder. That being said, the food was just so bland and disappointing. Sandwich: The bread was not flavorful, the turkey and bacon were pushed to one end of the sandwich(making my first few bites solely bread), and the bacon was not crisp(it tasted as though they took it out of the fridge and thew it in). Salad: Way, way too sweet. It was their new arugula, chicken, and quinoa salad. Yes, the ingredients were all there, but it could hardly be called a salad. More like a bowl with things in it, including a very sweet dressing thrown on. I feel harsh in writing this review, but everything was just such so flavorless. Not worth the $ 13 I paid. For that price, there are a ton of options in Mission Bay. See: Darwin Café, Umami Burger, The American Grilled Cheese, even Taco Bell!

My son & I stopped here for a late lunch. We both ordered the turkey/bacon/avacado/tomato/lettuce sandwich w/kettle style chips. The turkey was very moist, yummm. Bacon could have been a l’ill more crispy. Avacado was perfect — on texture, color & flavor. The brand of kettle chips they serve was a nice change from the, «let me break a tooth today» kind. A little crunch & flavorful. Now, the reason for 3 stars… bread was fresh tasting with a «ho hum» flavor. I like the ingredients of my sandwich to cover the bread, which was not a problem with the tomato & lettuce but, ONE half strip of bacon per side(sandwich was cut in half) and a «clump» of turkey/avacado sitting right in the middle of the bread, REALLY?! For the price, not impressed!

I have an anaphylactic reaction to peanuts and ALL tree nuts. I ordered a BBQ chicken salad and in the middle of my bite I notice my throat starting to close. I spit out the food, took out my liquid benedryl, and to my surprise there as a slivered almond. WTF? I asked for the manager and I told him my situation. I showed him the almond and he took the bowl away from me so fast that I couldn’t snap a photo. He gave me a refund of $ 5.75 and apologized. My husband and I notice he doesn’t know how much harm this can be to people who are unfortunate with this allergy. Spoke with someone from the corporate office. They gave me an email about my experience and has an option to be contacted, I replied yes, however 3 months later. No response.

I got the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. It is served panini style, grilled in a george foreman type of contraption. It was okay. it was served really hot though. If that is your preference, then you might like this sandwich. I was looking forward to more of a «hot in the middle, but soft bread on the outside» kind of sandwich. and the way it was grilled it made the outside bread a bit hard. My wife got the chicken noodle soup and it was better. That was probably more like a 3 star dish. The way negative interactions have a bigger impact than positive interactions, I will have to find a dish i really like before I can raise this 2 star review.

My company orders a huge assortment of Panera bagels and pastries for breakfast. Everything’s consistently fresh but generally pretty average tasting — pretty much just lots of sugar. Their muffins are incredibly moist though! Definitely NOT the healthiest breakfast options if you look at the nutrition info on their website. All the pastries are full of sugar. The bagels are a «healthier» option, but watch the cream cheese! Overall, okay pastries and things. Well made but that’s really it. MUFFINS — Superr moist and light/airy –APPLECRUNCH(450 cal) — the outside is super sugary and crunchy and there are pretty bit chunks of apple, making it extra moist –PUMPKIN(590 cal) — yummy! pretty good pumpkin flavor SCONES — I’m not the biggest fan of scones in general because they’re easily on the dry side. Theirs are pretty decent in texture but just very sugary –WILDBLUEBERRY(470 cal) — my favorite of the scones! not too sweet –ORANGE(540 cal) — tangy, super sweet glaze –CINNAMONCRUNCH(550 cal) — super sweet/sugary as well PASTRIES — Pretty average in general. Basically sugar overloads –FRENCHCROISSANT(300 cal) — buttery and flaky, but honestly, the Costco croissants are better(but probably unhealthier) –CHOCOLATEPASTRY(410 cal) — for you chocolate lovers out there! I wish the pastry part itself were more flaky and croissant-like, but it’s more moist and doughy –BEARCLAW(570 cal) — meh –CINNAMONROLL(630 cal) — meh –PECANROLL(740 cal) — the pecan topping is super sweet and sticky and the pastry part itself is pretty sweet as well BAGELS — pretty soft and airy for a bagel –ASIAGOCHEESE(330 cal) — my favorite bagel! cheesy and savory –BLUEBERRY(340 cal) — actually full of blueberries! –CHOCOLATECHIP(380 cal) — also actually full of chocolate chips but not overwhelmingly sweet –CINNAMONCRUNCH(420 cal) — more of a sweeter bagel

This is practically the only panera bread in SF. The location next to Caltrain and where I live, the atmosphere, the big space inside(relatively) and the view on the 4th and king st are all great. The only thing, their wifi is slow. If they had a fast WiFi, I would frequent this place every night to finish some work on laptop. #ChickenChipotleSandwish

I do like the occasional trip to Panera Bread… It is conveniently located to my work so I have made quite a few trips here over the years. There is really nothing to complain about. You know exactly what you’re getting when you order from here. My favorite is the soup and sandwich combo. You get good portions that are filling and not too light. The broccoli cheddar soup is the best! I think I order it every time I go. They have a new feature that I am very fond of! You can order your meal online and pre pay for it. They give you a pick up time or you choose a pick up time and when you get there your order is ready! You don’t have to wait in line and you just go straight to the Rapid Pick Up shelf and pick up your bag. This saves time if you’re on a quick lunch break from work. Great idea! All around this is a very solid location!
