Great Starbucks! They always make my order great and consistent. It gets busy here but you dont have to wait too long unlike other branches.

On Jan 23, 2016, just yesterday. We both came here for a coffee break and you know what? I think this is one of the best Vanilla Mocha I ever have. I love you, Starbucks!

I love this location, it’s a block away from my work. Everyone’s super friendly. I love this location because it’s part of my work routine. A few of the baristas remember me, so it’s just a great experience.

I’ve been coming to this Starbucks before going to work most days for the last 4 years and they have never missed a beat! Everyone that works there is super friendly and are on a first name basis with most of their clientele, including myself. I feel that this makes it feel more like a neighborhood coffee shop than just your average starbucks. Kudos team! You are what makes me keep coming back! :)

It’s just a chain so it gets 3 stars by default but they handle the large crowds well and it’s a spacious area. Service gets them the extra star. Baristas not as clueless as other locations.

Fairly large Starbucks located on the south end of Townsend St, near the circle. This location seems to be a bit more relaxed than other city Starbucks’, probably because it’s off the beaten track. Parking can be tough during the day — watch the parking cops, they seem to frequent Townsend St!

Consistently good service. All the staff are welcoming and work well to keep everyone’s orders moving. Inventory never seems to be a problem here — they have what I come in to order. Leticia often makes my drink and mixes it perfectly! This is my favorite Starbucks in the city. Kudos to the team here.

The bitter taste ain’t from the coffee. After 3 weeks, multiple disappointing experiences. No consistency. Today’s debate amongst themselves about a tall white was all over the place and I overheard it all; and it was my order. My daily walk is going to take me elsewhere.

I wasn’t able to find the little library that other reviews highlighted, which made me sad. My hunch is that it used to be the little nook with the child-size picnic table in the back, where the shelves are now stocked with merchandise. I came after the usual rush(around 4pm), where seating was aplenty and there was no line. I ordered my drink and discovered the mobile charging pads for the first time. Unfortunately, I could see very few wall charging outlets for my laptop. But I figured I might as well take advantage of the free power on(certain, not all) tables, and asked the barista how to use it. Without pausing in her potion-making, she kindly explained that I had to find one of the plastic rings hanging on the signs on the table. There would be one specifically for the USB port on my phone. And really, it’s just that easy — take the color-coded charger(white for iPhone 5, the lightning port), then place the ring on the charging mat. There are some issues I already see with this: for people with bulky cases, you’ll have to hold the ring in contact with the table to actually charge, and not all ports are supported. But that’s not a Starbucks issue. Seating options abound. Love seats, window-side counters, personal tables, and communal workspaces all find a home here. There’s a single bathroom stall in the back that smells faintly of urine. It’s large, as are most Starbucks bathrooms, but a little less tended to. The employees here just seem downright helpful. Besides my own experience, another person was being personally helped by an employee who explained to her which items were on sale and helped her figure out the pricing on items one by one. Another also went around and politely warned us that they would be closing in 20 min. Verdict? A chill place to study in a nice area, if you avoid the peak times and have enough battery on your laptop.

I always go here for a break to order my favorite coffee/tea. I also order my favorite pumpkin loaf cake. Unfortunately, when I came in this morning, I saw the lady putting in the pastries, and noticed a small fly eating the lemon loaf cake… gross…i told her about it… you know what she did, she just shoo the little fly away and still kept that lemon cake. Ugh! I am never going to order any more of their pastries. I swear!!!

It’s so busy in the morning, but they keep the lines moving! I usually come here to grab a quick breakfast, but it seems like their toaster always leaves burned residue on my toasted food. Perhaps it’s time for the staff to clean the toaster.

This is my regular Starbucks, due to the fact that I work in the building directly above it. They always make my drink correctly and I am usually greeted by a cheerful barista. Most of the employees are super nice and cheerful, and a few aren’t. Abe is great, he always remembers my name which is a small thing but it shows he likes his job and is good at customer service. I also had an embarrassing mishap once with my debit card getting declined, and while the guy at the register was borderline rude about it, the barista(Mae I think her name was) came right up and told me not to worry about it because I’m in there nearly every day and the coffee was on the house. That’s the kind of thing that will keep me coming back to a place. It was much appreciated!

Normally I’m anti-Starbucks… I prefer locally owned cafes and micro-batch roasted coffee. If that makes me a trendy, hipster, or coffee snob, so be it. But this Starbucks has something going for it. It’s open at 6am. There’s a whole bunch of people who start working extra early and need a place to caffeine up and plug in earlier than later. Sometimes this is me… And it’s a challenge to find a place open at 6am. The early morning crowd is a few professionals and a bunch of law enforcement. I still don’t drink the coffee… Luckily they have tea, and most importantly an electrical plug and wi-fi at 6am.

This one is directed at the cashier/barista named Christopher! Poor customer service and gave me the runaround for being a Gold Card Member. I purchased 2 drinks at this place. 1 tall cappuccino. and 1 grande extra hot latte. as a Gold Card member, I’ve never ran into issues regarding refills at any starbucks. This is the first time I got a runaround for asking a simple coffee refill. Anyways, here’s what I happened… me: «Hi, I would like to refill coffee». christopher: «sir, why are you refilling?» me: «uhm… I’m asking for a free refill(I’m a gold card holder).» christopher: «I understand, but we cannot refill your coffee» me: «why not?» christopher: «did you purchase coffee?» me: holding two coffee cups… wondering if this guy is brain dead… I said, «well you see me holding the cups.» christopher: «your cups said you purchased latte and cappucino, we don’t refill coffee on those purchases…» me: «huh?» christopher: «we only refill coffee if your original purchase is pike coffee» me: «huh??? What I purchase is coffee although it’s a espresso drink, it’s still coffee. also these drinks are more expensive than your regular coffee. I’ve never had such an issue with a refill because I purchased espresso drinks. Not like i’m asking to refill a espresso.» christopher: «we’ll we dont do that [smirk]» me: okay well, WTF! LOL WHAT A HASSLE! SCREWYOU, there’s another starbucks 2 blocks away. Here’s a little more on free refills:

Nicer part of SoMa. Spacious and not too crowded usually. Starbucks is Starbucks but I really like the interior design and the BiG windows! One of the better stores!

Once of the nicest Starbucks I’ve been too. Lots of room, plenty of seating. There’s even a book area in the back if you want some reading material while you kill time or whatever while you’re here. Came in with my kids, ordered a few breakfast items and let them watch a movie on my laptop since we were waiting for my husband and parents while they were at Suchada Thai Massage(around the corner). I was paranoid since I’ve never sat in Starbucks to do anything other than homework, but the workers had no problem that the kiddos were watching Wreck-It-Ralph, a couple even made small talk with my kiddos about the movie. The girl at the register this morning was a bit on the timid side. very soft spoken. When she asked for my name, I gave it to her and instead of asking how to spell it, she just replied, «I’m going to put Jean because that’s easier.» ummm… ok.

My new fav Starbucks. Large awake tea with honey and a splash of 2% never tasted so good. Oh, and ladies, the bathroom is not locked, you just have to turn the handle up(instead of down) and push!
