I was at the farmers market and I wanted to be hella bougie after my run and get a smoothie. I really wanted something fruity because it was super hot that day so I got the hummingbird. This has oranges, strawberries and something something. It was $ 8 for a tiny guy and it was superrrr sweet. It sorta burned how sweet it was because I just chugged it. It was nice and refreshing for that day but maybe I should opt for one of the green smoothies. It was foamy toward the end of my drink… bloop

Time: 12:33pm/58°F partly sunny Purpose: Walking around looking for Juhu Beach Club but, didn’t find them and gave up. Thinking to myself, I came here for nothing wasted time to leave empty handed is almost unheard of in a long time. Determine to get something that tantalizes me. Set-up: Canopy, banner, tip jar, email list, iPad, blackboard menu, industrial shelf, cleaning supplies, 25qrt water dispenser, two commercial grade juicer, plastic bins, rising buckets, cutting board, cash box, hand built wooden counter w/aluminum structure frame, wax cardboard boxes of organic produce. Staff: Two girls late 20s friendly never talk out of turn. Listens to what you ha e to say then gives a recommendation base on what you say. They were quite honest to tell me up front right away that there are no samples given due to the price of organic fruits/veggies. Very apologetic wishing they can but, couldn’t. Told them I understand, no problem! Cleanliness: Grade A, kept clean same restrictions as other vendors. Food handler permit/sellers permit posted. Cleaning supplies well stock. Eats/Drinks: Regular size Simple drink $ 5. Products/Services: Currently only five drinks are available. *Prescription-$ 9 *Hero-$ 9 *Octet-$ 10 *Archetype-$ 8 *Hula girl-$ 9 *Simple-$ 5 Since it was my first time I went with simple just to get my taste up there figuring out what they do here before going on to pricier drinks. Punch Lines: Ferry building, valet parking, bike parking, lunch time peaks, no samples, modest cost, fresh, healthy, organic when ever possible, intresting takes, made on site, limited options, takes plastic, high energy, pleasing flavor, girlie-girls, farm to cup, well made, zippy service, can’t go wrong, friendly, knowledgeable. Tradeoffs: You pay more to get the freshest as possible made on site versus the brand that comes in a square plastic bottle with expiration date stamp on it. Final Thoughts: Back in the days I never pay more than $ 3 for fresh juice made on the spot. My choice was Kern’s for all fruit juices thinking it was the best on earth. Looking back what a fool back then I was. Good thing I happen to like all fruits/veggies. Now a days when something doesn’t taste good, usually means its good for you. Next drink to get is the Hero ingredients listed matches my taste.

I only had the Strawberry Almond Cream. It was decent, but way too sweet. I couldn’t even drink half of it. I had to toss a $ 10 drink. Even though I wanted to drink it, the flavor was overpowering. Juicers in back are centrifugal, so although it seems freshly juiced its not cold pressed. I asked if they could eliminate the honey in my drink and they said it was mixed into the prejuiced almond cream. Only the strawberries are freshly juiced. Overall, I love juicing and am a huge fan but since its exploded its getting harder to find good quality ingredient and proper juice techniques with flavors that are balanced without the added sweetening ingredients. Plus, it is overpriced. For that cost I expect better quality and better flavors. I asked for a little help when picking the juice and I was told that they were all good. Even when I asked specifically about a couple of them, I still got the same response. So here’s where I feel justified in producing a Unilocal review after one item. Normally, I try at a least a few different items. I’m not opposed to trying the other drinks, but I won’t be rushing back.

Explainably juicy. Questionable ingredients: Quality ingredients: Oranges, kiwis, strawberries, rhubarb, lemon and lavender. Gentleman making this delicious concoction described the Paramour drink as tasting like a Starburst. Was a unique spin that proved to be absolutely spot on. Appreciate the lack of corn syrup in this version but the $ 9 price was still steep. Juicing should cost more than candy but shouldn’t cost more than a sandwich. Which explains my three stars.

We were in this part of town and I was feeling run-down and flu-ey. I could barely function as a human being, and asked for help ordering. The girl suggested the«prescription» juice with kale, mint, apple and orange. Sure, I love all those things. It was whipped up pretty quickly and I drank it just as fast. It was delicious, refreshing and made me feel way better. My only complaint is the price as I think $ 8 is a bit expensive and was the only reason I didn’t order a second one as soon as I was done.

I like to shop at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market and this place is pretty good. I’ve gone thru a few of their drinks and all are refreshing. I especially like the drinks with beets. Nice red teeth for freaking out kids!

This is one of the reasons I come to SF. Sometimes it’s the only reason. I wish they were around more often, since I always find myself craving some Sow Juice. It is pricey for the amount(about $ 8 per cup/mason jar), but it is fresh juiced, organic, and a small business. I love getting their juice in the mason jars they have(add $ 4 to your purchase), they are so cute. Sow sometimes uses interesting fruits that I’ve never seen(my first experience was a blend that featured the Buddha’s hand fruit), but it always tastes wonderfully refreshing and healthy. I like Sow more than I like Pressed Juicery, but Sow is a little more expensive and harder to come by if you don’t live near the Ferry Building. I always would recommend it to anyone who loves healthy eating and trying new foods.

The Prescription is a great way I start my Thursday when the cart is setup at the Ferry Building. Super green healthy beverage. Kale, mint, apple, celery, parsley, maybe orange too. I think. Friendly people. Alright.

Soooo, I trekked to San Francisco for vacation … and caught a cold. I needed a hit of vitamins and health … and I needed it fast. Fate and luck led me to the Sow booth at the weekend Farmer’s Market at San Francisco Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero. An extremely happy lady behind the counter listened to my list of issues and recommended one of Sow’s specialties … a freshly-pressed drink called the«Prescription.» It’s a healthy punch of fresh Apple, Orange, Celery, Kale, Mint, and Parsley. Then she said if I really want to knock out the cold, go with a «Prescription 2.0» with additional Spinach and Ginger. Of course, I got the Prescription 2.0($ 9). The drink was a bright green explosion of favors and vitamins. I don’t know if it cured any illness, but I felt better with just a bit more pep in my step. I’m planning to go back this morning to find the Sow booth at the Farmer’s Market to get another Prescription and another boost to my system. I’m on vacation. I deserve to feel better, right? Sow has planted the seed in me for juice blends that are sooooo fresh you’ll feel sooooo much better.
