Time: 12:08pm/55°F cloudy Purpose: Doing a weekly check up with clients. Ferry building coincide with my meet ups couple of them located with building itself. Set-up: Located in the east wing of ferry building across from Sur La Table. UR is share with Pepples Donut among other business. Front area with waist high shelves, samples, brochure/books, iPad. Behind counter sits another shelf and sliding two-door fridge fill mostly with perishable goods. Didn’t expect anymore being that of kiosk size. It’s simple practical showing everything that’s being offer. Basically the same goods as other locations, but lesser of and smaller space(compact). Staff: A lady late 30s engaging and eager to sell. Answer my questions appropriately on a timely manner without hesitation. She insisted that I try some samples. I didn’t feel for dried kale chips at the time and politely decline. I pointed out if cups in fridge were chia seeds. She acknowledge, and I told her that’ll be it for me, and ring me up. Cleanliness: Grade A, all utensils were self help. Wasn’t mixed up or running low. Since most items were package, wrapped, box, and cup, I expected that level. Eats/Drinks: Chia parfait $ 5 flat. For some reason, after trying chia crackers in the past, I started liking chia anything. Never like it before, and not sure why. Anyways, it reminds me of asian supermarket basil seed drink in can by Hoang Van, but in many ways different. It’s sure is good when eaten cold. Spoonful after spoonful, it was delicious and not too sweet. Fresh raspberries on top gave it a more seeded grinding chomp. It’s slimy feel with poppyseed taste. Since it absorb liquid these seeds were plump bigger than normal. A good alternative to eating tapioca, and less calories too. Main Features: Cold-pressed juices. Products/Services: Book/manual, juices, desserts, raw food, meal plan, kits, cleanse, cookies, kale chips, trail mix, organic, non-gmo, vegan, low glycemic, GF. Punch Lines: Healthy, modest cost, local/sustainable, new year resolution, clean eating, unpretentious, well-prepared, top-notch, devotees, light bites, deep pockets, itty-bitty, kept its standards, nutritional/functional. Tradeoffs: Not a fast fix to look like Cindy Crawford. Model that met with founder of UR. She’s there for promotional purposes only. Final Thoughts: Most would be set back or even attempt to try what UR is about base on price factor. Again, we hear this all the time. You’re what you eat. Just like cars. Want to look good? Gotta pay the price. I’ve no problem dropping $ 75+ for a cleansing kit because, I believe in well-being.

New juice and raw food stand in the Ferry Building! I actually thought that this was still the old juice place with new offerings until I realized that their frequent buyer program had changed. I’ve been here twice so far for breakfast, and it’s a fast way to get something to go as you get off of the Ferry, or are just passing by. Their green juices are the perfect balance of being green and not-too-sweet without being bitter, and the chia parfait was full of raspberries and again, not-too-sweet! It’s to-go only, and looks like everything for the day is made in advance, but I’ll definitely be coming back to try some of their smoothies and the salads look delicious.
