Definitely better than the current rating of 3.5 stars would indicate. Theirs is not a greasy, gut busting burrito as in the mission, but I prefer that. The al pastor was great and it was just 8 bucks. Considering your other options on Spear are a 14 dollar bowl of quinoa and a chain deli sandwich, I would make Los Compadres a weekday regular.

Pretty good burrito truck right outside of my work. I was pretty hungry for lunch and wanted to check out the truck. I came here a little after 12 and man was the line long. There was at least 10 people in front of me. From the time I got in line to the time I got my food it must have been 30 minutes. I will probably time it a little better next time. I ordered their el pastor burrito. They have a few other meat options and you can also add toppings to your burrito/taco for an additional cost. I decided to add some cheese and guac rounding out my total to a little under $ 10. Their burritos may not look that big, but I was pretty stuffed. They are wrapped very tight which is nice, nothing was falling out or spilling on me.

Seems that most people take issue with this taco truck if they get your order wrong. I’ve been here at least 10 times and so far have gotten exactly what I ordered each time. Typically, I go around lunchtime, wait in line for 15 – 20 minutes, order a carnitas burrito w/guac and pinto beans, and wait another 5 minutes for my foodstuffs to appear. In general, this experience is standard for FiDi during lunch rush and, to be fair, I think this is a pretty damn good burrito. I’d put it above Farolito and Taqueria Cancun in my opinion but that’s just my opinion(to which I am entitled) and you should feel free to form your own opinion(to which you are entitled) about this 4-star taco truck.

Good burrito, long line. Would have been a 5-star rating but I asked for(and paid for) avocado and there was none in the burrito. Oh well, I’ll just order simple next time.

Best burrito around Folsom and second. It’s my go to chicken burrito if I have a craving. Only complaint is I wish they served breakfast burritos! Then they would be unstoppable!

In a nutshell: + Great lunch burritos, thinner and longer. + «S» for spicy. ~ Long lunch lines. We fondly call this place«Tuesday Taco Truck», but ironically I’ve never had their tacos. I always get their super veggie burrito. It’s different from the Mission-style burritos. It’s somewhat thinner and longer(vs being more bulkier) — which is why I like this even more for lunch. I don’t have to overeat and keep feeling bad for the rest of the day(for that, there’s dinner :3). Their Guacamole tastes fresh and some of my colleagues even get it extra on the side. Their red sauce, which I usually get, is spicy enough to give the right«kick» but not too spicy to the extend that I cry. The line can get a bit long around noon(and is usually the case till 1pm) but it moves relatively fast. Prices are also reasonable(my order comes around to $ 8), plus they accepts credit cards(not typical of street trucks). If it’s sunny and warm outside, we usually head to the park(POPOS) right opposite to this truck. I’d come here compared to Chipotle any day(it’s a no-brainer for me). One of the spots that’s on my lunch rotation and I’ll be back here(if not every week).

I come here for lunch around once a week. The line usually goes pretty quick and tacos are competent to good. Get it spicy, I prefer the carne asada to the carnitas.

I’m a burrito fiend. And if my waistline permitted, if have them for every meal. And Los Campadres is where I’d have must of meals, in this ideal world. I had the carnitas(fried pork) burrito with pico de gallo. And it was excellent. The tortilla was soft and yet but overly chewy. The fried pork was good enough to be eaten and its own. And the salsa was hot, but not scalding, and did not overpower the flavour of the rest of the ingredients. Everything just came together perfectly. Probably the best burrito I’ve had on the US. They have other stuff too: like tacos and quesadillas, which I hear are excellent. But it’ll be impossible for me to not have the burrito every time I come here.

We just grabed lunch here today. There is a small square with benches at the opposite side of the road. The burrito with quacamole was really good. I went for the spicy one, is of edible strength. There is a long line at luchtime but it moves really fast.

I’ve been going to this one(and the one on Folsom) for a while now. Their food is alright. the quesadilla is pretty basic and kind of small; Don’t expect anything like the farolito style here. The the tacos are okay. My go to is the Super Burrito. It’s halfway decent most of the time. My main gripe with this place is the wait times. I’ve waited up to 45 minutes for a burrito which is basically untenable for anyone who has actual work to do. From an efficiency perspective, they could be doing a lot better. Usually they have 3 guys and this isn’t a problem, but it really backs up when there are two. I’d wager that for the marginal cost of hiring another dude to fill in, they could make up additional business that they lose when people walk by and see a line halfway down to the ball park. The fact is, these guys have a monopoly on the burrito market here. so no matter how long the line, no matter how many times they raise the prices, i’ll keep coming back… for now.

They did it to me AGAIN! I asked for a carne asada burrito with sour cream, cheese and guacamole. I told the lady that the last time I came I didn’t get what I asked for and said to please make sure. Well, I walked back to work, took a couple of bites and sure enough, there was no sour cream or guacamole!!! I won’t be going back! I’m not interested in being charged and not getting what I paid for!!!

Had the veggie burrito and chips & guac. Normally I am not a fan of rice in my burritos but WOW this rice is delicious. Especially for the price(under $ 7) The line is long but moves very fast.

You can’t beat Los Compadres burritos for the price in SoMa(~$ 7, depending on additions). Their chicken(my go-to) is always perfectly cooked and seasoned, and it’s one of the few burrito spots that doesn’t treat their rice as a filler ingredient. Their burritos are the perfect size, too: not small enough that I’m racking snacks at 3pm but not large enough that I’m drooling on my keyboard during afternoon meetings. Don’t be intimidated by long lines; they churn through orders rather quickly.

Good solid burrito. Nothing splashy or spectacular but done right. Good size for $ 6.50. Not Chipotle big but«just right». I got the plain chicken burrito with black beans, mild salsa, rice.(Tip: their spicy/hot salsa is as advertised! Get water!) Guac, cheese, sour cream, etc are extra. Bonus: they take credit cards as well. Service was good considering how crowded it gets.

Yum! Quesadilla is really good! It’s not too heavy like the ones you get at a taqueria in the mission. I had it with pastor, and it was really good. Cheesy but just the right amount. Nice people. There was already people waiting in line for them to open when I went.

Mmm! Enjoyable. Very very close to the greyhound station, perfect if you are waiting for a bus and crave something beyond vending machine treats. Had the chicken burrito. It was very creamy(I recommend adding guac and sour cream).

Great cheap burrito place for lunch. I’ve always gotten the super burrito with carnitos, black beans, pico de gallo, sour cream, and guac. all for just 8 bucks, and much higher quality than a Chipotle or something similar. They serve the bottled Mexican coke here too, which is a huge plus. I love that stuff. I’ve heard that the line can get long during peak lunch hours, but the line has always been pretty short every time I’ve gone. I’ve never seen more than five or six people in line in front of me, and it still goes pretty quick.

NONONONONONONONONONONONONO!!! I got an al pastor burrito w/guac and I’m crying salty ground pork chili sauce tears as I’m eating this abomination. HARD rice(at peak lunch time 1pm) al pastor is like ground pork chili too saucy guacamole — Where the eff is it. I paid extra for it. And they folded my foil wrapper into the burrito. that’s already a bad sign.
