Kwong Jow Sausage Co. is noteable for the hanging lop cheong (chinese sausage) behind the service counter. the sausages were strung together like rubber bands, end to end.
a lop cheong is the length of an average candle. with lots of bubbles on it’s sides. coloration is dark brown. doesn’t look tasty but it is. one easy way to prep them-​place them on top of boiling rice. when the rice was ready, the sausage is too. .
our familiy usually got the duck liver sausage. the regular pork one was ok too.
sadly, this shop has been closed for years.
