I love their palabok and shanghai lumpia! Yummy !!! Their 5 – 6 person tray is actually good for more than that. It’s so worth the buy!($ 30 and would feed around 10) it would probably be true if the palabok tray was the main entrée but who really buys only palabok and lumpia? A Filipino party is always a feast! You’ll always come home with leftovers !

Not a clean dining area. Be prepared to stick to your chair. Chicken Mami soup is SUPERBLAND. Siopao was cold. Definitely not coming back

We dined here a couple of time but most of the time I call for pick up. The food is flavorful and delicious, especially their fried vegetable lumpia! When you call for an order and pick up at a specific date and time, they are always in punctual unlike other places.

I have dined in at Kadok’s several times now, and I have been overwhelmed(wow) with their awesome food; fresh, hot, and always excellent service. This has got to be the underdog of all the Filipino restaurants I have been to. I would recommend ordering any of their breakfast«silog» plates. You will never go wrong. Plus, their pricing is just right. For three orders including a drink, it came down to about $ 21. The nice lady even gave me a «regular customer discount!» I also found out today that they are now sharing their business where they can send remittance to the Philippines for you, including«balikbayan boxes» too! Sounds like a great idea and convenience. I’m so glad I have a Filipino goto place that not only specializes in «comfort breakfast food,» but also provides a very sincere, kind and warm service. I am so lucky to find you Kadok! You make me feel at home. Until then, Cheers! ~ :p

Service here was awesome. Ordered fried chicken and fried rice– was ok. siopao special for 2.50 $ was reasonable. Pansit malabon lacks taste and wasn’t good. Tokwa’t baboy was great and turon as well. Prices was just right. Place is somewhat sketchy and hard to find, no parking too. 1 star off for pancit malabon. I will be coming back to try other stuff, maybe.

The lumpia here are like toothpicks! Gosh, they’re so mini! I wasn’t really planning on eating here, but I was lost for about an hour and skipped breakfast so I decided to get some tapsilog. Oh, goodness. When the waitress brought me my food, «it was lub at first taste!» The last time I had tapsilog was last summer when I took a vacation to the Philippines. The egg was nicely cooked(still yolky), the tapa was tender, and the rice was garlicy. Service was great and food came out fast. It was worth it, as well. The place was a bit quiet, but there was a TV. There were four people eating and gave me this«usosero» look, but when I left, they tried to be all friendly. Pfft… Problems: –Portions are okay, but I’m 6’3 and 235lbs. I need MORE.

I used to come here all the time when I was in high school. The pork sisig was my favorite. The portions were huge, and the sisig was flavorful and juicy. Lumpia was definitely on point too. My only gripe was that the place was pretty tacky… Back then, it would have been 5 stars — EASY. Came here today with my man, and it was horrible! There was nobody at the register to take our order for about 3 minutes. The place was still disgustingly tacky, and they took out the little gazebo thing. They didn’t have Tapsilog, so my friend ended up getting Tosilog and I got the pork sisig. We also had lumpia. The lumpia was ok. Anyways, the portion of sisig was TINY. So freaking tiny and I swear there were more onions/jalapeños than meat. The meat was dry and bland. Oh my first bite of the pork was also COLD. The worst thing about the whole meal was that there was something sitting on my friend’s plate that didn’t resemble any of his other food. It looked like a piece of deep fried oyster or a fish tail perhaps. I don’t even know, but he didn’t find it until he was pretty much done with his food. I am never coming back here, and I suggest nobody else to either. It’s dirty, tacky, and we both had stomach aches and were horribly thirsty after our meals.

I always wanted to try this place because it served filipino food and was really close to my house. I finally went with three friends one day for dinner. The people who work there are nice and the food is very cheap. However, I would say the food is just ok. Everything tasted pretty good, except all of the meats were on the dry side(I tried some of everyone’s food). I’d go back for the cheap filipino food, but for good filipino, I’d probably go somewhere else.

Well, this place is not gourmet by any stretch, but when you compare what you get for your money compared to other Filipino restaurants, it could be that Kadok’s is the best deal. Most items are only $ 6 — $ 10. It is hard to find decent Filipino food in San Francisco at any price – usually have to go to Daly City or San Bruno for that – so this is pretty much the only decent Filipino food in the City. Don’t expect waiter service or getting your glass of water refilled… you do that yourself. Expect a lot of food for your money though. In fact, the place is such a good deal that it makes sense to order three items for two people… you can always take food to go. I like the grilled/fried large crispy squid platter. hard to find that anywhere.

I’m really picky with my foods. And the lumpia here is as addicting as Krispy Kreame doughnuts. I first ate the lumpia at an office party in city hall. I bought like 30−40ish lumpia to-go for a friends pot-luck. Everyone else also loved them and the sauce with it was also very yummy. I’m craving some lumpia right now…

The food here rocked, even though the place itself was trying to do way too much for that little dive. I mean when you walk in, you will probably trip over a band stage + in the front there’s a makeshift hut that you can eat under, just like being in the Philippines. Did I mention that it only takes 8 regular steps to get to the order counter? I had the bansilog. I love Filipino breakfast, even though it’s fried milk fish(complete with a vinegar dipping sauce), a mound of rice, tomato slices, and a fried egg. Delicious! My next raid will be to try the longanisa(carmelized breakfast sausages). Paaaarty!

Review based of of eating the palabok. I LOVE the palabok here. It’s the only palabok I eat, other than the ones my family makes. I normally order this to go, or on my birthday we order a huge tray and invite family over too. It’s great and it has everything on it. It’s not too watery, and it’s not too dry.

thats one of the best filipino food restaurant for me. unfortunately the palabok when went there 9am this morning tasted nothing like it, the sauce was to watery and the flavor didnt really had any flavor in it. but occasionally when we go in the afternoon, it was good. maybe we went there the wrong time. always check the food before leaving.

I grew up with a Filipino mom who could not cook, but a Lola(or Apo, depending on your dialect) who was exceptional so I can distinguish the good(Kadok) from the bad(Goldilocks). 1st of all, this is not your Irma’s or your Goldilocks with food that has been sitting all day just waiting to be reheated in the microwave. Everything is fresh. That said, I always order the fried tilapia combo. It comes with a whole fried tilapia, garlic fried rice, and 3 lumpia. They will also bring out some sinigang. My mouth is wateringggggggggggggggggggg. Obviously they don’t have a menu so I decided to list some of the things they have off the top of my head: pansiit bihon and palabok lechon kawali lumpia shanghai sinigang baboy garlic fried rice bbq pork kabob chicken/pork adobo mami(different kinds of meats) fried tilapia

When I was in grammar school, a girl made fun of me for eating chili for recess. «Who eats chili for breakfast?!» What she obviously didn’t understand was that filipino people do not have any food/time restrictions. Food is food and you’re lucky to have it. So just eat! Her chin probably would’ve dropped if she saw me at Kadok’s at 9am eating my fried fish with it’s tail curled up. Haha… Catering seems to be the money maker for Kadok’s. They had a bunch of large trays sitting behind the counter when I was there. Prices are cheap, $ 5.50 for a satisfying bansilog. Good place to hit up for filipino comfort food.
