Good place to stop in for a coffee or snack if you’re in the area. We tried to order an Italian soda which they advertised, but the cashier was unsure how to ring up. She was a bit flustered. And she smokes right outside the entrance, which is both illegal and fills the place with smoke.

That’s my favorite place to drink some coffee at the morning. These guys making the best coffee ever! The Blonde girl provides great service. Very cute place to stop by and relax.

This is probably the worst breakfast place to eat at, the fruit consisted of 3 pieces and the ‘French toast’ was toasted bread. Highly disappointed.

My go-to café to get some morning work done in the Polk/O’Farrell area. Wifi, good lighting, tasty egg croissant sandwiches, and groovy music Only downside is the bathroom sink was broken for a long time and the other sink area was hard to find/looked inaccessible

This morning I tried a new café, Jebena. This place is in the TenderNob. Gotta say my chai latte was very good. They do use a powder & not a beverage from a carton. I asked for the drink to be flat(no foam) with almond milk. It came out perfectly :) A comfortably hot temperature, not super spicy. Just right to wake up your palate. The café was tastefully decorated with lovely art on the walls. The environment was conducive to conversation; which is great! For sure, I’ll want to go back for dessert sometime. That tiramisu looked so tempting For those of you who are coffee drinkers, the variety of choices seem abundant(cortado, macchiato, latte etc) Next time you are nearby, give Jebana a try… this is a local, family business which I am a huge supporter of.

4.5 stars. I love working from coffeeshops where I have the whole place to myself. I came here around 11am on a Friday, and it was pretty quiet for the following five hours. Jebena is a cozy place to get work done. There is tons of seating, nice décor, and most importantly outlets and WiFi. I love that there is light music and the ambient sound of cars driving by. Louis Armstrong music does get old and annoying after five hours, though… I had a cup of coffee in the morning(decently strong) and a salmon sandwich with small salad for lunch. Both were enjoyable. I was looking for a nice and simple coffeeshop to work from, and Jebena fit all my criteria. Plus there is a restroom for those long hours of camping! Would work from here again. I love the peace and quiet.

High priced from a cup of coffee to an egg sandwich, were the sandwich had just a croissant, a layer of lettuce, two slices of tomatoes and an omelette. A coffee and a sandwich costed me a $ 11.51!!!

Great Great Tiramisu Treat, not too sweet and real moist and juicy. Ordered that along with some hot chocolate and it it wasn’t too hot! Just right! Ahh! Was helped by a nice blonde girl. Very comfy warm atmosphere. Would come again.

The latte I bought was excellent. Had them make it a vanilla latte. You can tell they appreciate a good shot of espresso by their response in a fun loving way said with a smile by the baristas«you’ll ruin the coffee.» Thanks for the solid wake me up.

The little outdoor area(parklet) is so disgustingly filthy. All the plants are dead and trash shoved in with the dead plants. I’ve even gone inside to ask why it looks like this. If they can’t take care of this, I wonder how sanitary the inside is. So many businesses would kill for an outdoor space and they just use it as a trash can. Laziness.

Not impressed. Average food, coffee, and service. Not sure why the stars are so high, maybe because it’s a nice little atmosphere for the area we are in. We came right when it opened and there was dirty tables, and all the food was sealed up,(my frittata) it was clear that these were all made the day before. I would not pay 7 $ for another left over frittata in the future.

No stars would be preferable. Coffee is just plain Horrible! Ordered 8 espressos half hour before closing for a quick pick me up: we must have drank all the leftover residue coffee from the day. I’ve had bad coffee in my life but holy cow! We threw them all in the trash. Don’t waste your time.

Came here while waiting in line for a film at the local AMC. There aren’t too many spots around here to just come in and out with some food, but I decided to try this place because it was close and I was running out of time. I ordered a chicken pesto sandwich and just a water x 2(I had a hungry friend waiting for me as well!). The girl who took my order was nice. nothing too outstanding, but she was sweet. The drinks looked good as well from what I saw, but didn’t jump on them this time. The sandwich was fantastic for a quick bite! It was very good and I was impressed by the nice taste. Overall, I only knock the place down a notch because it’s a bit pricey! My total came out close to 20 bucks total! Not a bad spot and if I ever find myself in the area again I will definitely try one of their coffees or teas!

3.5 stars… SF has given me high standards, what can I say. Internet speed is not bad 6.77mbps down/0.70mbps up, and there are plenty of outlets. It’s never been that crowded here(compared to a place like Philz which always seems to be packed), so maybe that’s saying something. It’s still a pretty good coffee shop to work in for the area, since there aren’t that many to begin with. The outdoor parklet is a nice touch as well, and at least they have enough traffic to merit that addition. The Americano coffee was a bit sour, and not cheap at $ 3. Could definitely get better at Jane or Contraband for that price. One plus is that they do have a good selection of TEAS. I also hear the chai tea latte is quite good(although pricey at almost $ 5 after tax). They also have other sandwiches and drinks in an open fridge at the counter, similar to a Starbucks. There’s a lot of noise pollution here at the intersection of Geary and Polk though — busses constantly going by, traffic, motorcycles, not to mention the whirring sound of the espresso machine. Definitely bring a pair of headphones if you plan on focusing on work.

Nice chai, but I think I’d give it a 4 overall, esp. at $ 4.63 a cup! I dunno if it’s worth more than the froufrou single-origin boutique lattes around town, that’s for sure. It’s definitely more of a sweeter chai, made in a thicker creamy style, but I would’ve liked a little more spice for my tastes. Still, I could see myself coming back to get some work done if I wanna change it up. They’ve got chill tunes playing(e.g. Ella Fitzgerald), nice seating, not too crowded, with some outlets and free wifi(5.66d /0.7u)

Coffee was delicious. You know it’s a good coffee place when just the regular hot coffee is so flavorful without anything yet added. The chocolate croissant was pretty good, but I’d come back just for the coffee. Very nice women working the counter and great atmosphere good for studying, hanging out with friends or just having your morning pick-me-up, because there is light music(not loud like many Starbucks), they have solid WiFi for paying customers, and it’s quite roomy. Also, this place was a class act. There was a man who came in for half an hour to watch TV and just lounge but bought nothing and just sipped on his Starbucks latte as he used their facilities. I saw the staff clearly noticed but they didn’t approach or rebuke him despite his clearly douchy behavior. That shows how nice, abiding and nonjudgemental they are to that kind of crowd.

Found what looks like a syringe for drugs hiding under a corner of the carpet. Told the worker. She could careless. Didn’t even attempt to go look. Furniture is nasty old and dirty. My tea cup was dirty with food on it.

This is one of my go-to cafes for enjoying a coffee while I work. The food makes it a reasonable lunch spot, and I enjoy the salmon tartan. Compared to similar cafes, I think it’s all reasonable priced. There’s always available seating, the place is kept clean, and the staff are friendly. The wifi is free. Overall, I’m very happy with the service. The Karita(their pour-over) and iced coffee are about what you’d expect from any café. What stands out is their turkish coffee, which is prepared as genuine turkish coffee, with grounds included in the cup. The Ethiopian variant, the Jebena, is served in a decorative pot.

Randomly stumbled into Jebena after the Sunday Streets event in the Tenderloin a few weekends ago. We were looking for something to drink and a place to kill time. Nice little café space — great place to read if you’re nearby! :) Lots of table/seating space. Lots of teas to choose from. We ordered a full pot of the house tea at took the window seat. Great lighting. Service was decent. Tea was hot and flavorful — definitely your money’s worth. Overall chill experience at this little café.
