The little outdoor area(parklet) is so disgustingly filthy. All the plants are dead and trash shoved in with the dead plants. I’ve even gone inside to ask why it looks like this. If they can’t take care of this, I wonder how sanitary the inside is. So many businesses would kill for an outdoor space and they just use it as a trash can. Laziness.

We ordered 2 decaf coffees for here and 1 chocolate brownie to split between us. First they thought the coffee was«to go» so put it in styrofoam cups. Second, the brownie was hard as a rock! My friend tried to cut it. I took a bite and it was totally dried out and even tasted stale. We took it back to the counter and said we did not want it. They declined to offer us something else or give us our money back.

Really good chai lattes. Pleasantly surprised since the place seems empty!

Coffee was delicious. You know it’s a good coffee place when just the regular hot coffee is so flavorful without anything yet added. The chocolate croissant was pretty good, but I’d come back just for the coffee. Very nice women working the counter and great atmosphere good for studying, hanging out with friends or just having your morning pick-me-up, because there is light music(not loud like many Starbucks), they have solid WiFi for paying customers, and it’s quite roomy. Also, this place was a class act. There was a man who came in for half an hour to watch TV and just lounge but bought nothing and just sipped on his Starbucks latte as he used their facilities. I saw the staff clearly noticed but they didn’t approach or rebuke him despite his clearly douchy behavior. That shows how nice, abiding and nonjudgemental they are to that kind of crowd.

Nice staff thought its constantly changing. I call it Café Benneton because they always seems to hire people from diverse cultural backgrounds. The coffee is a bit bitter, and tastes like they need to change the filters more.

This place is awesome. A friend and I were seeing a movie late on a Thursday night and were in dire need for coffee. They had already closed but the man working kindly agreed to make us drinks. He was incredibly nice considering his day at work was already done and made amazing drinks. The best iced vanilla latte I’ve had. Definitely a local business to support!

I came here to grab lunch with a friend. The place was fairly empty. . maybe 2 – 3 other people there. I ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese. . pretty simple right? Well we get the hummus platter which was pretty bland and didn’t have all the things that were listed on the board. Then my friend gets his sandwich. I wait and wait and wait. I see other people who arrived after us are being served their meals and the orders look alot more complicated than slicing and toasting a bagel. Finally I ask the woman at the counter and instead of admitting that she forgot my order she just says its on its way. Well by the time I get it my friend has completed his meal. The service was terrible! No apology nothing! Its a café not a sit down restaurant. A bagel with cream cheese should not take 20 –25 minutes.

Nice little clean, calm spot in the heart of the filthy TL. It is no Philz of course but you can get individual drip coffee made to order. The interior is spacious and chill with perfect world coffee house music. They also serve sandwiches and gelato there which is pretty cool. There are big open windows perfect for ppl watching, and yes there are very interesting ppl to watch around here. The ppl who run it were nice and the bathroom was clean. But sadly I think someone was shot in here a week or 2 ago. /:

This is a great little place that is starting to hit it’s stride. Individually brewed coffee and teas. Baked goods and recently omelets, and crepes. Gelato too. I just had an omelet this morning. and happy to report fresh ingredients, a wonderful salad and toasted bread. Very filling. The coffee is really nice too. The people working there are friendly. Though their English is a little shakey. More than made up for with their smiles. The other patrons include locals, some hipsters, laptopped people of all sorts. Their corner location gives a wide view of the people passing by.

This place is always empty! It looks like a cute little spot to chill and study. I needed to get out of the house so I walked on over to Tebena. minus one star for cash only– and the ATM charging $ 2.50. Boo! The little nook area in the corner with the comfy couches is so ideal! There is also plenty of seating outside– but with this lovely sf summer weather I don’t think I’ll be spending much time out there. I ordered a turkey panini with aoili sauce(so good!) and a side salad. I also bought a cupcake for my roommate and a sparkling water for myself. Total came to just under $ 9. A bit steep for a place that wasn’t really allll that. The sandwich was good but not AMAZING. I’ll probably just stick to Lees or something and just get my tea here. However for being on the cusp of the tendernob it is extremely clean.
