Very good breakfast. We had a bagel with egg and cheese, and a bowl of oatmeal, with some matcha. I’m not sure if the sweetness level of the matcha can be adjusted, but it a little too sweet for me. I’ll give an extra star if the level is adjustable.

A very nice and simple café, just a short walk from my office. The matcha latte is very good, not too sweet and has a great texture. The owners are really sweet and accomodating, and they didn’t have any problem when I asked to eat my homemade lunch there. But their lunch menu seems promising and well priced, and the customer service is great so I’ll definitely be back!

Cash only place. I ordered the Thai Chicken Noodle Salad and Macha Latte. Salad is very healthy with light dressing. Macha latte was the perfect amount of sweet for me. Very enjoyable meal and the people at the café were so nice and welcoming

This is one of my favorite small cafes that offer really good lunch options. The turkey panini(pictured) is super simple, but very refreshing and perfectly toasted. I come here almost once a week and I’ve always been greeted with a friendly smile and good food. Sometimes hard to find seating, but if you can snag the outside table or the couch, this cute café on Sutter St. will make for a favorite lunch spot. — Distinguishing factor: Small café with consistently good food and great prices

Just stopped in today in my way to work. I had a ham egg and cheese bagel and it was pretty good. The service here was very good as well. The ladies here are very friendly and served me with a smile. The only thing is they only take cash which most of the time I only have a card. I will definitely come back on a day I’m carrying cash.

Great variety on menu. Very reasonable prices and the nicest couple on the planet. If I lived or worked on this side of town I’d be here all the time.

3.5 stars(for now?) Nice little Japanese café near Van Ness. First thing I wanna say is that the staff is really nice, seem to be a family run business. They make you feel good about coming into their shop I ordered the cheese egg and bacon bagel with a cold matcha latte. Flavors were solid, it wasn’t anything mind blowing per se. However my entire stay there, people kept comin in and out ordering salads, so maybe I ordered the wrong stuff D: I’ll be sure to come back and get a salad :)

Cute little place. Had a class nearby and stopped for a bagel sandwich for breakfast. Nothing special about the bagel but want to come back and try the lunch salads. Pictures looks awesome of the salads. Hopefully, when the new hospital is up and running, they will increase their hours for the hungry nurses!

Cute café! DELICIOUS matcha latte and breakfast burrito – definitely want to come back and try more of their menu! Was wishing for more Japanese food like the Unilocal«food theme» advertises and like other reviews said they had, but I didn’t see any on the menu! :( Either way, I appreciate the lil mom and pop stop shop nonetheless. Parking was easy for me, but it’s off van ness so I’d account for that in your plans. Otherwise, great lil neighborhood spot and I’d come back!

After visiting my doctor on Sutter st, I went down the street looking for a place to eat and here it was! I ordered a Cobb salad with tomatoes, lettuce, avocado, chicken and bacon. It was fantastic! Very good!:)

The americano tasted like brown water — even after I asked for an additional espresso shot. The gave me the shot for free to be fair, but it was not good. The wifi was so slow that gmail wouldn’t even load an email. Before I bought something, they told me the Internet worked fine; AFTER he went upstairs and said there was some kind of problem and I would have to wait for them to fix it.

Cash only. Free wifi. Quiet lounge. Warm veggie salad is delicious. Eggplant, tomatoes, feta, roasted potatoes, cherry tomatoes, grilled bell peppers. Big hearty and healthy for $ 6. Wow. Matcha latte was unique with strong matcha flavor.

Yummy, big, cheap teriyaki bowls! The woman who served me was SO sweet. I ducked in before an appointment on a chilly fall day and I’m so happy I did. I snuggled up on their big comfy couch with that big, hot bowl of goodness and felt like I was hanging out at my grandmas house. Thanks!

Cute place, friendly staff. I got the macha latte, but it wasn’t that good. I can’t explain it, but the milk seemed… burnt. That is not the right word for it, of course, but it seems like it was scalded to the point where it may have actually disintegrated the macha. The sandwich I got was extremely tasty, though! I think the main reason why I liked this place was that there were so many regulars, and the atmosphere was so friendly. If I lived or worked nearby, I can see this becoming a go-to spot for lunch, because the portions were generous and the food was really tasty! For now, though, it’s too far from me, and the hours are weekday only(think FiDi hours).

I was pretty disappointed with this spot. I ordered their Match Latte iced and their Broccoli cream soup and actually went home sick. The soup smelled a bit and I wasn’t sure if it was just supposed to be that way or maybe it wasn’t fresh. The iced Latte was so icey after a few sips I basically left it all there filled with ice. I hope this was just a bad 1-time experience — am willing to get it another chance.

I am disappointed with this little café. Let me explain why. Macha latte is their signature drink and it was likable. Texture was smooth and the flavor was rich. Those who like flavored coffee drinks will probably enjoy it quite a bit. I have to warn the coffee drinkers though, it is more like a milk drink than anything else. The food was a complete disaster. The breakfast burrito was a joke. It was only marginally better than what you could get from a fast food chain. Dry wrap. Bland fillings. The chicken teriyaki salad was not that much better either. The meat was tough and dry. The salad consist of mostly lettuce and nothing else. Perhaps it was my unlucky day and I ordered the worst items on their menu? Maybe you will have better luck with the sandwiches and pannis.

Cute small café with affordable food in the SF! I was looking for a light meal and I popped into Macha. A variety of sandwiches, salads and bowls are offered, along with coffee drinks, smoothies and juices. I ordered the thai chicken noodle salad($ 5.75) and the avocado and coconut smoothie($ 3.75). The thai chicken noodle salad was a very generous portion. After I ordered, I realized that the salad might be more noodle then greens, but luckily when it came out, it was more salad then noodles. Everything was really fresh(cucumbers, tomatoes, vermicelli noodles, salad), even the chicken. The salad came with peanut vinaigrette on the side. The dressing was a little too light on the peanut taste, but it was a nice complement to the salad. The avocado and coconut smoothie was also really fresh. Not too strong on the coconut taste but it was made with fresh avocado. Very refreshing. Small café, but free wifi. Cash only.
