I can honestly say that I am not a sandwich person, because everywhere I go they are either dry or hard or rip apart the top of my mouth but my boyfriend took me here because he swore these were the«BEST» subs in the city and I have to say I agree!!! They are very generous with their fillings and it wasn’t dry at all. We have been back a few times now and their bread is spongy but has a slight crunch, which I think is what we all want from a sub. To top it off the girls who make my sandwiches are very sweet and friendly and they always add extra tomatoes for me. If you haven’t been you should check it out!

So good! Ingredients are high quality and fresh — thick tomatoes, cucumber, avocado — all sorts of good stuff. They make their own sauces; the«garlicky mayo» is especially awesome. And it helps that the owner and her helpers are super nice!

In a world of rising prices everywhere, a good buy can be difficult. Where can you find a good place to eat that is jammed packed full of flavor, and most importantly within the budget? A difficult question but luckily if you are reading this, you are in luck! The answer is Irving Subs at the corner of 12th Avenue. They got the all mighty Dutch Crunch bread and plentiful options. You don’t wanna die and regret not having their signature T.A.B.L.T That would be a rookie move. Three cheers for a restaurant in the sunset that ISNOT overpriced & shitty quality. Keep up the good work.

SOGOOD. I’m very upset that I’ve lived in this neighborhood for almost a year and am only now discovering it. I’ve been there twice in five days and had to be talked out of going again yesterday. Ingredients are fresh. Service is fast and friendly. Drink selection is vast. I want to bathe in that garlicky mayo. My only suggestion? Get some fresh baked chocolate chips cookies in there to cap a great lunch. Or don’t. Because I will be 500lbs in no time.

I don’t know what’s left a worse taste in my mouth: it could be when I order a pickup, head there after 20 minutes and see that they only start my order when I get there. Or perhaps it’s that the last 2 times(and coincidentally, the final 2 times I’ll ever go here) there have been hairs in my food. And for those reasons, I’m out.

We had them for our office lunch, and their service was amazing. The sandwiches were neatly wrapped and cut in half so people could try different ones. The House Special Cajun Chicken and the Warrior were both great choices on the Dutch Crutch. I really like that they bought some with gluten free bread and who doesn’t want Kettle Chips instead of the regular old Lays. Their portions are nice for the $ 7.65 you pay and if you feel extra hungry try their pesto or macaroni salad.

I had the Giants Sub and it was pretty solid. They have a bunch of different things so I’m intrigued to go back and try something else!

My favorite sandwich shop in the city! Everything is made to order and I like to build my own sandwich once awhile. My go to sandwich is the Giants Sub with extra bacon on a Dutch Crunch roll. I highly recommend this spot for anyone that wants a huge sandwich with reasonable price. The new owners are extremely friendly and offers quick service too! Don’t forget to check in for a free bag of chips!

Best sandwiches ever! I ordered the warriors on dutch crunch and i must say it was sooo worth the money. Big big sandwich, great flavor and meat combination! The bread was nice and crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Great selection of drinks and chips! Never seen so many variety of drinks and chips in a sandwich shop! Also got a clam chowder! Chowder had so much clams in it and it tasted so fresh. Will def come back for more!

Was planning to go for a sandwich on Sunday afternoon then passed by Sunset district & found this new place is grand opening, so went in & gave it a try. Staff was really helpful to help customer pick their favorite sandwich. End up I got a giant sub with all fresh ingredients in it & most important part is… It’s tasty! Overall the whole experience is better than I expected. Honestly I’m not a all time sandwich lover but I will definitely go back & try other sandwiches that they have.

A year and a half later, this restaurant is still as good as it gets. It might be the best sandwich place in SF. I don’t see the owner around as much I used to, but he has hired several employees who run the business well. The sandwiches are awesome — I like the Go Giants.

I’d give an extra star if I could, not only are the sandwiches above all others but the service is top-notch as well. I thoroughly enjoy every trip I make to grab one of these subs.

Goodfellas on Dutch Crunch. Perfection. I can’t eat eat red onions anymore, but I’m sure that would’ve been the only thing that could make this better. I topped it off with McClure’s garlic dill pickle chips and a Hubert’s cherry limeade. Perfect lunch.

Don’t let this non-descript semi-dump fool you: they make a fantastic sandwich. I ordered«the warrior», a sweaty collection of hot meat sandwiched in a soft pudgy exterior that’s sure to get you aroused. Wait I could be describing myself! The only drawback is this place runs a bit slow. Oh wait, I could be talking about myself again!

My puppy howls to herself when she chews her favorite squeaky toy. If you make eye contact or laugh, she’ll stop momentarily and look away, but she’ll keep doing it to her heart’s content. I thought of this when I was sitting in front of a veterinary clinic, eating a sub on sourdough the size of my face. I sat there with lettuce in my hair, fallen tomatoes scattered around me on the sidewalk, sandwich bits of on my face when a woman walked by and I made eye contact with me mid-wrestle with my last chunk of glorious meat –sourdough-lettuce bite. I also stopped, momentarily embarrassed, but kept eating to my heart’s content. In Seattle, we have all kinds of great things. Non burnt coffee, bearded men, crisp apples, women wearing dresses with hiking sandals, wild salmon, and a computer-literate workforce illustrate just a few. But good subs like this are hard to come by. I split the Goodfella on sourdough with a side of gloriously marinated olives. It was a perfect lunch after exploring the museum and park nearby. With a friendly couple behind the counter and on a very quiet block, it’s a must if you’re in the area!
