Good bar to watch sports at. It’s usually not too too packed and they have a decent happy hour. The cocktails on happy hour are pretty weird though. We had the zucchini sticks which were fine. Nothing special. Biggest downside was that there was only one waitress. It was hard to get her attention to get new drinks, etc.

This bar could be soooo good, but as it stands, it’s just average. I think it needs smartening up a bit. Sticky tables are a turn-off. Lots of potential though.

First of all the décor and staff are the real thing. Its a real Mick joint for sure. Bad part, there are better, much better. I paid 22.50 for a fish and chip with cider and for less than that I can get a far better fish and chips at Murphy’s about four blocks up and over. Also I went in there when it was a quiet and the server was still slow.

This place is good for what it is. Very loud and grungy bar. A lot of local finance people who seem to all know each other. We only had bottled beer… Everything else was not so clean

This is where the party is at. We stopped by for happy hour during the middle of the day for a quick beer. Service was great and $ 3 beers. The bar was full so we grabbed a table. The bartender knows everyone and has several regulars that all seem to know each other, mostly all men. Music is turned up so be advised. His place is an Irish bar so I get it. Stop on and sit outside for happy hour of your in the area. If this isn’t your place there is a bar on the next block that’s more upscale and comes with a higher price tag. Enjoy!

We came here after a cold day at golden gate bridge literally shivering with 2 jackets on looking for some warm drinks and food. This place is awesome. Their irish coffee is really good and sweet potato fries are to die for. Burger was great too. My husband didn’t wanna order fries but we ended up ordering more. The best sweet potato fries ever. It wasn’t crowded much so I guess we got lucky. The girl serving us was super sweet and made sure we weren’t out of food or drinks. So yay I’m a fan.

Came here with a girlfriend on a Thursday night — the Warriors game was on, and people were loud and the place was pretty packed. Since we got there early — about 5:15pm — we were able to snag the last two spots at the bar. Long review short: the drinks were fairly priced, they were not watered down(but not filled to capacity either), the bartenders were fast and attentive and all had Irish/or other foreign accents and were adorable. Bar has purse hooks(bonus points). Also RIGHT on the #1 bus line — so super convenient. Happy hour pricing applies.

Irish Times is a solid place. Nice happy hour, but without a great selection; cool décor, bordering on divey but not quite there; good service, but a little surly(ok, I like the last one). Came here for drinks, got some beers, very reasonably priced. I’d definitely come back for a quick drink with friends, but would never go out of my way to come here. Since it happens to be on my way, I expect to be back soon!

I came here with my friend and a couple of co-workers just to hang out a bit after work. The atmosphere of this bar was decent. There weren’t too many people, which was a good thing and it was brightly lit. We sat down and got drinks for happy hour. I got Budweiser and it came out in a red bottle. We also ordered fries and a second round after finishing our first. The fries were all right. It wasn’t bad and it wasn’t good. It was something to eat while you drink and talk. Surprisingly, there was someone throwing up in the bathroom already at like 6pm on a Monday. Someone had a tough day at work lol.

After the less than stellar lunch(see previous review) we stopped here to get a beer. This pub is everything I would expect in a bar. The layout here is cool. Long bar facing out to the street with exposed brick to give it a cool vibe. While there are enough TVs here that you can watch from all angles in the bar, unfortunately they were all tuned to the Clemson vs. OKLA foozball game. As a college football fan, I have no beef with that but when you have the Warriors logo on one of the windows, one would imply you would show the Warriors’ games: NOPE. The $ 5 beer draft selections I was hoping for more of a selection. But they have Shocktop which was fine by me. Ordered the calimari app; decent but nothing stellar. It would have been nice if all the apps came as a half-plate option. I like to mix n match when it comes to small bites. Something about this place reminded me of the show Cheers. It has that feel of a place where you just want to stop after work and down a few drinks.

Waited 35 minutes to get a drink. Got the wrong drink and a waitress with a huge attitude. The place looked fun enough, but I won’t be back. A million places to go like this in San Francisco. No need to waste time going somewhere that they don’t appreciate your patronage.

We came here after a work event… just because it was down the street. Location convenience. Soooo… busy on a Tuesday night? Well, maybe because it’s a Sports Bar and it’s the home opener for the Warriors and World Series Game 1. We had a corner table outside… the weather was very nice and plus inside was so crowded! Our server was pretty good… offering us menus and took our drink order immediately. We ordered appetizers(Calamari, chicken wings and potato skins) and the food was OK. Nothing special. Note: it’s on a fairly busy street… you have to talk loud and be ok with firetrucks/ambulances going by.

Never again! $ 7 for burnt eggs. I asked for scrambled eggs to go and received more toast than eggs. In the picture, you can’t tell the eggs are burnt. They’re burnt on the bottom. Not a good place for breakfast. Very disappointed. Couldn’t get something as simple as scrambled eggs right…

So, came in with about 20 friends. We had been running and bar hopping as part of charity event, and this was our last stop. I ordered a beer and a glass of water from the bartender since I was dehydrated from the running. He brought them out quickly and I gave him my card. The glass of water was 90% ice, so I only get about 4 swallows. When he came back with my card and slip to sign, I asked for a refill for the water. He then proceeds to yell at me about the f**king drought and implying that my 2nd glass of water was making a serious impact. About 20 minutes later, the staff told a couple female friends that they had to stop kissing as they were bothering other customers. WTF? Did I magically get transported to Kansas?

Catching up with a few friends over the Warriors game, I went for the chicken Quesadilla and the Onion rings to go with my Manhattan. The Manhattan appeared really quick and was pretty stiff. Good job! Our server was pretty quick with the food too and the onion rings arrived in a jiffy, looking very tantalizing. Unfortunately, a single bite quickly unraveled what laid beneath the looks. The batter was soggy and thick. It seemed like the batter was either too thick and not aerated and/or the oil wasn’t hot enough for deep frying. The chicken quesadilla was slightly better, and that’s about all I could say for it. The chicken was decent but there was barely any cheese inside to hold it together. The slices were dripping fat but falling apart at the same time. I tried a bite of my friend’s fish and chips and that too suffered from the same soggy batter. I blamed to my having come in later but I was told the batter was just as soft when it was served. The saving grace was the service. I was surprised at how quickly she came to pick up my order in spite of the number of people milling around, and equally fast in serving as well as checking on us for anything else. In conclusion, the food seemed to be definitely«bar food» — food you eat when you’re drunk.

Irish Times is a sports bar with a bunch of TVs. There’s a dining area as well as a bar. It has a very nice Irish décor feeling. == Food == Fish and Chips. The fish is nicely battered and fried to perfection. The fish was very moist and piping hot while the outside was soft and a bit crunchy. The fries feel like they’re store brought and cooked, but they’re passable. Nice crispiness to them. == Service == Service was great! The waitress was attentive and the food arrived very quickly. == Overall == Great place for some fish and chips.

Bar review only… Popped in for the ASU v Notre Dame game on a Saturday afternoon. This bar plays host to the San Francisco Notre Dame Club watch parties. Since my friend is a ND alum, this is his bar of choice to watch the games. Overall the vibe is excellent for college football games. Heck, they even have a few drink specials during ND games. The specials aren’t anything too special since the bar charges FiDi prices. Anyway, there are plenty of tables and TVs for view the game. Be prepared to wait a bit for your drinks during games. The bar was understaffed during the ND game and we were forced to order two rounds at a time due to long ordering leadtimes. I’ll be back. I hear the wings are pretty legit. Perhaps a happy hour here is in order…
