Best FIDI breakfast for $ 5! Nice people and they use the Order Ahead App. Since the new year I am getting the burrito bowl — all protein/no carbs! But everything is good!

I ordered a sausage burrito. Pretty good and filling. I would appreciate it if they can give better instruction on where to pick up online order.

My favorite breakfast burrito thus far. It’s so simple yet so delicious and fresh: fresh eggs, hash brown potatoes, and sausage. Sometimes I’ll add avocado. So good. I work across the street, so this place is easy for me to grab a quick bite for lunch, though lunch is not as special as their breakfast burrito.

This review is only for breakfast burritos… but this is one of my favorite breakfast burrito places in FiDi!!! It’s not really«traditional» Mexican style… They use hash browns for the potato and yellow American cheese(is it wrong that part of me hopes its Kraft?) I have heard some people say they don’t like that, but I think that’s what makes it so good! The simplicity and the fact that it’s probably not the most healthy option makes it delicious haha. Tips: it gets really really really busy and crowded in the mornings which isn’t a big deal to me, but for some reason the people who come here in the morning are kinda cranky. I’m not really a morning person either, but geez no need to be rude… :/I honestly just feel bad for them for having to deal with rude people because the owner and employees are always SO nice no matter how busy and hectic it gets, which is what really matters. Also they have a $ 6 cash limit so if you get a burrito and don’t have cash, be prepared to purchase an add on. Oh and their salsa isn’t very spicy so ask for hot sauce too if you want a little extra kick.

Every time I am up here I grab a breakfast burrito. Their bacon breakfast burrito with cheese and salsa is grilled to perfection. Their breakfast sandwiches and bagels are not as good as I was hoping but it is a solid place to grab breakfast. The place is easily missed since it is inside the one front street building on the right but it is worth trying out.

BTW Credit card minimum is $ 6. Ordered the breakfast sandwich and it was pretty tasty. Eggs, sausages(choice between bacon and ham), cheese, salsa and my favorite HASHBROWN. I would like my eggs a little bit more cooked. I believe there was only 2 sausages as I split this with my coworker. It was a little less than $ 5 which isnt too bad considering the area. Remember to bring cash! I would definitely come back here only for the breakfast burrito. I got the The touch of Italy sandwich and wasn’t anything amazing. I asked for it toasted but they only toasted the bread and not the meat and cheese so it taste good. I would rather go to subway for their Italian BMT.

My hunt for what I consider a good breakfast burrito continues. After all the fanfare here, I ventured out and was met with an OK burrito. Pros: Grilled tortilla added some flavor(always better than«steamed») Cheese, salsa, potato and meat make for a good combo Decent price for FiDi(i think now around $ 4.50) Cons: Used pico de gallo which makes it a bit watery, would like more of a bite Hashbrowns were a little soggy

Breakfast Burrito Bliss! Yes, that’s all you need to know. There’s a reason why each weekday morning, there’s a line for breakfast burritos here. They’re made with freshly cracked eggs, hash browns, and then the whole bundle of goodness is placed on the griddle to toast. Yum!

Raising my rating to five stars since they are so consistent and this is just a great little breakfast burrito. Nothing too fancy, but the hash brown type potatoes really work for me! That and the fresh eggs and melty cheese — yum! And they serve it until 11am so for those of us who aren’t early birds it gives us a chance to get one at a reasonable hour on a weekday :)

Always on the hunt for a good breakfast burrito in the Financial District. Did a quick Unilocal search in my area and lone behold Front Door Café was listed amongst other places my co-workers have frequented. Took a stroll over to the former home of Shaklee Corporation at One Front Street and found my new favorite FiDi breakfast spot! The place is tiny but don’t let that fool you. If you base how good a the food is at an establishment by the lines, well this place should be Zagat rated! Place your order in person, or over the phone and do your best to wait patiently for the cooks to do their thing. Pay the lovely cashier and before you know it she will call out your order. They make it all, but my personal favorites are the burrito’s. Bacon or sausage with a hash brown tossed in with salsa and hot sauce. They come out piping hot, what else could you ask for? Just what a hungry tummy needs to start off the day! See you all soon at the Front Door!

3.5 Stars I decided to come to Front Door Café to try their breakfast burrito to see how it stacked up against the ones at my work. In a nut shell, the grilled exterior is a great touch but the filling is on the same level as the one at my work. Cost wise, its the same but when I factor in the time it takes to get there I find myself questioning if the value is there to return back. Side note, you will end up leaving there smelling a little like the grill Overall Thoughts A charming mom and pop shop serving decent food at a reasonable price

Their turkey sandwich won me over even more than the burrito. It’s tender, juicy, freshly sweet turkey meat that is not too salty or bland. Love this place! Proves great things need not come in fancy packages.

I haven’t tried anything else, so this review is based solely on the breakfast burrito. AWESOME. Awesomely delicious and awesomely cheap. I think I only paid 4 bucks for the burrito and it was filling. In addition to that, they crack the eggs open in front of you and cook it all right there. Try to find another place that does this nearby. I dare you. The service was good too! The guy who rang me up seemed like he was the owner– super nice and helped me right away. So in all, the sausage burrito was great and cheap. I’d go back here again– wish it was closer to my work, I’d go more often!

my hidden gem of fidi. no matter what time i go(varies from 11am-2pm), i never wait more than 5 minutes for my sandwich, while the rest of fidi waits at least 10−15+ minutes. it’s pretty hard to screw up a sandwich when you have such good ingredients as soft wheat bread, avocado, sprouts, fresh veggies, and some good deli meat. but there’s something about this place that keeps me coming back. perhaps it’s because the people behind the counter are so friendly here. and even though i only come in maybe once every week or two, they still remember who i am and my go-to order. i love that feeling of small shop sentimentality. also helps that foot traffic isn’t particularly heavy here. all-in-all an excellent choice for lunch, especially when you’re short on time. no wait, friendly service, easy sandwich customization, and fresh ingredients. what more can you ask for really?

Visited from out of town and this place has fantastic burritos! They make everything fresh(eggs, sausage etc.) and you can tell by the taste! Additionally, the prices are great, especially for SF. If you enjoy great, fresh burritos, check this place out!

Don’t see what the rave is about this place. I will say the breakfast burrito is fresh and the skin is slightly crispy but nothing amazing. Service is friendly enough, but their efficiency is garbage. You scream your order and hope that it isn’t too generic because if you have the same order as someone else, the first person to grab it, gets it. Two people who ordered the same thing got their order before me because they were closer to the stand. There’s no organization and it feels like fighting to get my paid breakfast. Not a great way to start my morning.

For a spot that has been here for decades, it definitely deserves more attention that it already has. This store is sneakily hidden in the One Front Building, their address was 1 Front. should saw that comin’. There wasn’t a line when I got there, I ordered the Breakfast Burrito for 3.75! 4.35 plus tax! It is loaded with your choice of meat, hash, cheesy eggs, salsa and a crispy/toasty tortilla. I like how there is a bite to the tortilla, soft burritos are overrated! I can tell the owner has a lot of heart and love for café. Always smiling and greeting his guests with gmorning! Definitely a great spot to grab breakfast if you are in haste or just craving a dang breakfast burrito. Admit it! You crave breakfast burritos…

Hidden hole in the wall with a good breakfast burrito at an excellent price. Their rent must be relatively inexpensive to charge way less than everybody else but it’s not the most creative option either. The best thing about this spot is everyone is so extremely happy and friendly. It’s the main reason I will continue to get my breakfast here. A smile goes a long way.

I get tired of Lee’s Deli, don’t you? They’re machines really and certainly not much for chit-chat when they make my sandwich or fill my ramen bowl. For the most part, that works for me, but sometimes a friendly face and mindless banter helps a slog of a work day. That’s where Front Door Café(named appropriately given the address) comes in since the owner is always cheery and appreciative of my business. It’s a closet of an operation, but that doesn’t matter to me since I work nearby and take it back to the office. I once sat at a small table here to eat, but it got a bit claustrophobic all alone in the corner. The menu consists of a standard mix of sandwiches, salads and a couple of soups, although their breakfast burrito appears to get a lot of shout-outs here on Unilocal(photo: ). My regular order came down to the $ 5.50 Vegetarian Sandwich, which was chock full of goodness — Swiss, provolone, avocado, tomato, cucumber, spinach, lettuce and plenty of sprouts — remnants of which I would find between my teeth usually during some career-defining meeting(photo: ). For $ 2.25 more, I ordered a cup of their soup, my favorite being Italian Wedding because of the mini-meatballs(photo: ). Homey, no-frills stuff. No reason to shut this front door. FOOD — 4 stars… sandwich and soup, that’s it… and they don’t screw it up AMBIANCE — 2.5 stars… you’re kidding, right? SERVICE — 4 stars… friendly in here TOTAL — 4 stars… this will do in a pinch when I get frustrated with the bigger chains nearby

2 Words: Breakfast burrito! Need a quick and tasty breakfast in Fidi for less than $ 5? Just go here. The breakfast burritos are divine. Side note: The location is a little tricky. You have to head inside of an office building and Front Door Café DOESNOT have a street façade. Service was great– ordering was quick and pleasant and the cashier was cheerful and friendly. As I waited for my order I observed that almost all customers around me were regulars and the food prep staff smiled and chatted with customers. One guy walked in and the staff said«regular order? got it». The loyal customer base really says something about this joint. My next trip will be to try a sandwich for lunch.
