But I think the front desk receptionist can be a bit more polite or use less of a monotone when speaking to patients…

Dr. Fong is the BEST!
He’s extremely personable and knowledgeable. I see him not only for routine eye exams but also for common eye diseases I got from time to time (much quicker response than trying to see the medical doctor– especially the ones from UCSF).

I’ve been a patient for many years, and the folks in this office remain as top-​notch as ever. Dr. Fong, of course, is great — very thorough, extremely knowledgeable about new products, and very flexible in fitting his recommendations in with what you can afford. The staff, also, is top-​notch. It’s not often that you find the intelligence, friendliness and capability of this front-​office staff.
I would recommend Dr. Fong any time. He and his staff are simply wonderful.

Extremely friendly service. I had my prescription explained to me on very real terms. Also, the doctor chatted with me while he was waiting for my eyes to dilate. I felt very comfortable. Highly recommended.

Dr Fong has been my eye doctor for 8 years now. He is really great — friendly and personable. He answers all of my questions informatively and in laymans terms, and not condescending in any way. He is an awesome, neighborhood doctor.
