Nachos are my favorite food. I am very picky about nachos. I have been to Don Chuys too many times to count and have never been less than extremely satisfied. They stack the ingredients in the right order(beans then cheese, people!) on top of strong, crunchy chips. Best of all, you don’t have to worry about being left with more chips than toppings or those tiny dollops of guac some places give you(so sad when that happens). Other nacho-serving places, please take note: This is how you nacho. You’d never think to go into a bodega for nachos, but they are some of the best nachos in SF and for a great price, too! Also, the lady behind the counter is very kind on top of being able to make you some divine nachos.

Worst burrito I’ve ever had. And the place was like a sauna with no fans and full of scummy dudes smelling like booze on an early Sunday afternoon. The chicken in my burrito was so old and dry, I think they dug it up with the pyramids. The salsa, guac, etc. from the ‘cold’ bin clearly were roasting and the ice had melted long ago. Not fresh, not tasty, not good. Go to Mexico Tipico on Mission, instead. Barf! Puke! Nasty! Burrito lady was pretty nice which is the only thing going for them.

YUMMY… I just started Unilocaling again and it feels great. All I can say is that this place is the BOMB… If you want a no frills, reasonably priced burrito this is the place to go. CON: No parking, stuck in a heavy residential area… so bring a friend and have him/her drive in circles and take your burrito or food to McLaren Park and have a picnic.

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and remember coming in from school and being a few cents short but the cashier was always cool about it. Everyone here is really friendly. My favorite has always been the baby burrito!

Home cooked flavor, awesome portion size, and you can grab your favorite 32oz right out of the cooler. why go to mission street ever again?

Tasty breakfast burrito. Big and filling. Next time I’ll probably go with chorizo instead of bacon because the bacon was a bit rubbery and underdone. But besides that, great meal! The guy in front of me ordered the $ 10.99 jumbo burrito, which sounds expensive, but it’s basically a double length burrito. It wasn’t quite Man vs Food territory, but I’m guessing the burrito would be a daunting task for even a high school football player. If I lived up the hill a bit, I’d be there pretty often, but there are too many other awesome places closer to me on Mission street. But good food. Mmmm!

I’ve been coming here for years. This is for the working man — nothing extraordinary as far as flavor goes, I do wish they would grill the steak as you order it but hey, it’s cheap. HUGE burritos if you want it that big. the American cheese in my burrito is different bug I do it every time. parking sucks but that’s life in SF Everyone in there is always friendly. If you want a fancy burrito with bean sprouts and organic stuff in it go to Pancho villa on 16th but if you want to be full and satisfied for around $ 10 for the rest of the day, come here. If you didn’t know, this place is more like a store so hipsters, don’t expect to have a sofa or futon to sit down and update your status –get your food and go eat it somewhere else only.

Just found this gem in Daly City, awesome place! Not only are the burritos top notch, but the grocery has an awesome selection of snacks too. We’ll definitely be going back!

I LOVE Don Chuy’s! I used to live 1 block away from this amazing little store and frequented it at least once a week. The burritos are THEBEST in the city. You really have to try this place out! The staff is super friendly. The prices are great. I order the baby burrito and it’s the size of a large burrito anywhere else. YUM. I want one right now just thinking about it.

Best burritos in the city. Food is made infront of you at the time of ordering, who doesnt love watching their food being made? The jumbo burrito can feed 3 people and is really worth the price. They also have a big selection of drinks in the fridge something most taquerias do not offer.

They’re ok I guess. But sometimes when I buy quesadilla, their meat is not fresh and also the other stuff they put, like jalapenos etc. But overall, the place is very convenient from my house and the owner is friendly.

Today for lunch I had 2 Don Chuy super tacos– al pastor and chicken. For $ 3 each it was a steal… huuuuge! I was definitely unprepared for how big the servings were. Trust me, this is NOT your chump size mexican taco. My friend looked at it and was like«that’s a taco?» I said…“yeah its like a mini burrito huh?” I thought it was really good and my boyfriend had them put jalapenos in it too… mmmm yummy! My boyfriend is a regular here since he works down the street and he says they have good quesadillas and burritos are good. I like how this place is in a neighborhood and not on Mission St… ah yes, away from all the congestion and limited parking spaces! Smart move, extra kudos for that!
