Cybelle’s Pizza & Ice Cream

This is a cool pizza joint to come to on the weekends. I’ve tried the hawaiin slice and the supreme combo as they brought them out and they both tasted really good actually, better than Chicos attempt at a supreme. My mates liked the honey joint on the crust, but i don’t like honey, so nope, maybe if they had maple syrup or something. Otherwise, the buffalo wings also taste good. I wonder if they have a seafood pizza then i’d be here more often.

Ok fine, so this place isn’t cheap but boy is it tasty. I would recommend their greek goddess which has no meat but still tastes amazing or the supreme for the meat lovers. I love that they always have music playing, which tempts me to stick around, i almost always dance a bit. Its way smaller than most, but that’s okay, they pizza makes up for it. This place is super cool, I can’t wait for $ 2 pizza tonight… I feel like these days thats all we ever look forward to. Its like an all you can eat buffet lol, but two slices is the most i can eat in one go. SO its like two for the price of 1 on a normal day :)

I wouldn’t even give this place one star. I’ve been there a couple of times, enough times to know how I really feel about it. The people working there are ALWAYS extremely rude, if you ask them to repeat what they said the will yell it back at you, if you ask to change something with the item you ordered they will roll their eyes snarl back at you. If you order online the food will arrive late (the people claiming the food to arrive early from this place are delusional or bribed) and it will most likely be cold when it finally arrives. But don’t you dare complain about it, the staff will most likely try to convince you that it was your fault. Left out item? How could you possibly accuse them for that? Either you’re lying or forgot to order it. The customer is NEVER right.
Also it’s way too pricy for the things they call «food».

Back at it pizza life. … yaaaaa do you guys know how the brownie pizza taste, you guys should defiantly try it. enjoy your day at cybelles and everything will go perfect…

This would be one review where I would give negative stars if possible. I ordered a calzone which look delicious, nice size and just the right amount of crust. However, after a few bites the mozzarella tasted quite sour and off, as the cheese was a highly processed variation I thought that was the problem. The crust although clearly freshly made, tasted stale. I threw away the calzone after a few bites because the ingredients were so low quality.
Later that evening I was vomiting with food poisoning.

I moved out of the neighborhood so I hadnt been back in a while. But man this place is still delicious. Had a margarita pizza with a desert crêpe pizza. Very fresh and so delicious.

OMG the crape pizza is my now go to for my sweet tooth it touched my soul to die for!!!

Excellent pizza and fast delivery. Dude I’m definitely coming back for more. I always order extra cheese and extra pepperoni. I come here twice a week to get my pizza fix. Come and try this place out and taste it for yourself.

I went there for lunch and the pizza was delicious! I highly recommend it! I really like the pizza and ice cream for dessert!

I stopped in this location once before for pizza by the slice and it was great, the restaurant was very clean and the pizza was awesome! So last night I decided to order delivery while my boyfriend and I watched the Super Bowl. We ordered a pepperoni pizza as well as a dessert pizza called «the girl next door» which was to die for! It’s basically a crêpe pizza, with Nutella, bananas, cheese and I think cinnamon. Not only was the food deelish but the delivery was fast! If your ever in the nob hill/​Union square area and in the mood for a great pizza or dessert, check this place out. You can’t go wrong!

I’m a pizza lover and I have to say this is by far the best spot to grab a bite to eat. Customer service is friendly and attentive. Not from the San Francisco area, but when I do visit I will be sure to come back for another slice or sub! Highly recommended.

I used to valet Aymen’s car (owner) and everyday he’d pressure me to give him 5 stars. I told him I wouldn’t do it unless I tried it first. So I walked in and first thing I see is boxes everywhere taking up space and 5 guys just playing around. So i ignore them and order a slice of cheese, cheesy bread, and a can of Coke. Almost $ 14! (Much cheaper in NY where I’m from)
I got the pizza right away from the rotating pizza warmer and right away I see a big ass crust. Like 3 inches big. What am I supposed to do with that? So I finished eating the pizza and ask the kid behind the register for marinara sauce (for the crust) and he tells me I have to pay for it. I tell him aren’t I getting sauce for my cheesy bread? He said yes so I said ok then I’d like my sauce now. He says no I have to buy another one or wait for my cheesy bread. (It’s already been couple minutes) I ask him how much longer? He says not much then looks back around to the side of him and they never made it! So I bought the marinara sauce.
(Aymen walks in 15 minutes later)
20 minutes later… I get the cheesy bread after Aymen barks at them to bring me my food. I get 6 super oily pieces and I swear to u guys that each piece was no larger than my fingers (I have an average size hand lol)
So anyway after the food I call Aymen to speak to him outside. I said can I give you constructive criticism? Any non self absorbed business owner would say yes sure. But He immediately says «NO!!» I ask why? he says
«because I have a masters degree in economics and you don’t. Do you know who my best employee is?»
Me: «no»
Aymen:“I am“
Appalled someone can be so self absorbed I just left.
Well Aymen since you have a masters degree in Econ. I think you should know that when u have an unnecessary amount of employees that you’re paying so much for it causes you to have high prices like u currently do. But what do I know. I just have a mechanical engineering degree from NYU. And as for u saying I don’t know what it’s like to run a business. U might want to Unilocal my parents restaurant in Brooklyn NY. It’s called Yemen Café.

I was in San Francisco today and I was craving pizza and of course I had to stop and buy a medium pepperoni pizza can’t go to the city and not get some cybelles it great tasting definitely had to stop by.

At charlies getting my hot and fresh slice. it’s Friday much needed. For a rainy day. People need to come out music is poppin like always. Vibe is chill

I needed to satisfy my craving for some pizza and ordered the salad pizza for myself and a couple friends. Everything was delicious and totally worth the Cheat Day!

Getting couple slices, fresh and nice. It taste really good l. Good place to hang out but the place is kind of small music picks is nice other than that it’s nice # second home

Coming back after a while everything looks pretty good specially I like the Tuesday pizza for 2.50 … mean while this where u find me every Tuesday yes yes yes

Got an XL ½ the chicken pesto and ½ combo pizza. Nice flakey crust to the pizza and the chicken pesto was my fav!

Late night pizza run after a NYE party and it definitely hit the spot. Beware, if it’s a weekend or event night, it won’t be your typical in and out late night pizza grab. I ordered online before I headed over and I was still in line for 20 mins. The pizza is definitely good, especially for the price.

Not sure why this place is highly rated. I’m disappointed by the pizza here. We ordered by slice and it was about 4.50 per pizza slice. It’s great that their open late, but if you’ve had artichokes in Berkeley, you can’t go anywhere else. The pizza at Cybelle was oily, not so hot, and not crispy. Even domino’s is better to be honest. I felt so pressured the whole time as the cashier kept asking me again and again what I wanted when I didn’t even get to look at the menu yet.
We got 3 pepporoni pizza and one pep and sausage. It was definitely mediocore.

This place gets a higher rating for the fact that it opens late.
We ordered 4 slices for the 4 of us (3 Pepperonis and 1 Pepperoni + Sausage). For the 3 slices of pepperoni pizza that they gave us they were significantly differently sized. It’s okay if the pizza slices have a size delta of 10% between them but when a slice is almost 1.4x the size of another of the same sort of slice then thats less okay. In addition looked like it had been sitting out for a longer time versus the rest. I understand its not easy for a pizza shop to evenly cut a pizza and that everyone is going through their own issues in life. I understand. If I come again, I’ll expect this won’t happen again. My other friends didn’t mention that the other slices were much better though.
This place is more like a «hey I just drank a lot and its late, lets go here» type of place. So I’d recommend going here after you’ve had a couple.

They were friendly and nice but what is with the price!!! For that kind of pizza? Id rather go to zpizza or even dominos or Pizza Hut. The pizza wasn’t even cooked properly and it isn’t good at all. There was practically no taste. I basically paid for cheese and dough to be baked… with it tasting bad! THE ONLY REASON THEY HAVE FOUR STARS IS BECAUSE THEY GIVE FREE SLICE OF PIZZA IF YOU WRITE A GOOD REVIEW FOR THEM.
But for friendliness I would say 4stars

Miriam was chill and able to help me get thru the menu, monster pizza is $ 9.99 the regular slice is $ 4.50 so it makes sense to grab and enjoy the rest later on if you have monsters like I do and they only eat the cheese/​pepperoni you understand the struggle in going to pizza joints and being hesitant in ordering 3 types of pizzas.
3 blocks from Grace Cathedral I wanted Dim Sum which was the opposite direction and the headache was that the lil ones wanted pizza so this was the winner. I should have walked from the cathedral because the drive took alot longer and GPS here in the city is very deceiving. Next time I’ll probably get these lil guys their pizzas and the wife and I must likely will get our Dim Sum… Not knocking this pizza at all we ordered 1 cheese, 1 pepperoni, and 1 meaty monster slice pizza and enjoyed with no regrets. Employees are always moving while maintaining a adequate serving of hospitality…

I was walking by and saw this place it smelled so good from the sidewalk, I had to go in and try it. So I decided to go in and the gentleman behind the cash register was super polite. I asked him what he recommended and he told me try the veggie pizza.
I had a slice and it was amazing, I am really pleased by the service and the super tasty pizza.
I would recommend this place to anyone that is in the mood for some good pizza and just a great atmosphere.

*UPDATE*
I ordered delivery though eat24 and it took over an hour and 30 min to deliver. I appreciate the owners response and taking ownership although I it was surprising to me that they allowed the pizza to be delivered as it was.
I ordered the Caesar Salad Pizza and it was awful. It arrived cold, the dough was burnt to the point of being as hard as crackers. There was no sauce or cheese. Did not include much salad on top and had very light dressing, unevenly spread throughout.
I’ve eaten at Cybelles before (thus 3 stars) but this was embarrassing that they tried to pass it off and charge $ 24

Best delivery service and awesome pizza.
I had an urgent situation with another cancelled order. I remembered having there pizza before as I live in lower nob hill and it’s very close. I called them for a last minute order for the financial district and they were able to deliver on time and throw in some extras too.

A screaming sweet tooth made me order late night brownie-​pizza with raspberry sauce and banana slices and a cheesecake.
Well, what could I say… it gave me diabetes right away and i slept very satisfied!
(I can’t rate the location itself as I ordered online and my treats were delivered)

Awful restaurant.
I ordered the food delivery. It delayed the delivery for 40mins without any apologize.
The pizza is low quality. Too much bread. There is little cheese, not even enough to taste.
If you are pizza lover, don’t take a try.
If you are just hungry, try other pizza restaurant.

1 star for being open late at night. Especially when they accept card!
My friend and I split the buffalo chicken sandwich. The chicken strips was subway quality and there was wayy too much buffalo sauce. Large portion, but pass.
My other 2 friends ordered half a pizza. We waited… and waited. More people showed up and more people got their food. After waiting for 25 – 30 min, my friend asked on the progress on the pizza. The response from the blond haired cashier wearing a tie was «it’s coming, or do you want to cook your own f***ing pizza?» That’s just a tad unacceptable. Drunk people suck. But don’t make all people the exception. No need to curse.
We eventually got our pizza and we sat there quietly while my other two friends ate, then we left.
Avoid unless you like getting yelled at late at night.

Moi personnellement c’est la 3 ème fois que je viens à San Francisco et je né pourrais pas me passer de manger chez cybell’s pizza. Et quand je né peux pas me déplacer je me faire livrer à l’hôtel. Les livreurs sont Rapide et sympathique Et Surtout On n’oublie Rien De Ce Que Je Commande. Tout m’arrive chaud

Pizza was decent. Service was horrible. They made it very clear that they don’t need my business. With so many pizza joints in the area, I’m not coming back here. They 1) changed the price on me, then 2) refused to honor the Unilocal check-​in offer, and 3) cluttered up the restaurant to the point where there’s no seating for guests.
First, I walk in and looked at the pricing. The board says $ 4.25 per slice. I asked to confirm that it’s $ 4.25 for cheese, combo, or pepperoni. The thin young guy say no it’s $ 4.50… Ok. Whatever. I order two slices. As I’m finishing up my order, I check into this spot and find a cool Unilocal offer for a free drink with purchase of any pizza. When I asked to get my free drinks, the woman behind the counter says that they simply don’t do that anymore. WTF.
I sit down to eat. And the place is completely cluttered. See picture.
Pizza here is decent but Pricy. I’ve even ordered from here for delivery to our office. Given the experience I had here, I’m not coming back anymore, and neither should you.

I went to Cybelle’s because my friend told me about it and since I was in the city, I figured why not. I found parking pretty easily so that was nice. After my little trek up the hill, I found this pizza place on the corner. It’s so cute!
So I walked in and immediately felt that cozy, local small business feeling. I loved the way the menu looked. I guess I just like chalk board menus though. I think it adds a personal touch to the place. There isn’t a big seating capacity, but I think that kinda adds to the charm. Overall, the ambiance is pretty chill.
I got a slice of Hawaiian pizza and a bottled coke to go because I was in a little rush. The pizza itself was so good. I liked the crust a lot too because it tasted like it just came out of a wood fired pizza oven (I wasn’t paying a lot of attention to the kitchen so I don’t know if it actually did). The cheese was great– not too oily, not too dry. It wasn’t too saucy nor was it lacking. The amount of toppings was just right. With that said, I’d give this place an A+ for a quick spot to grab lunch!
