It has taken me awhile to write this review. My wedding was May 2009 and I wanted to thank Mary for doing a great job. Everyone told me how much they loved the cake design and the taste was great as well. I didn’t save the top tier because I didn’t want to eat a year frozen cake. Mary made me the exact top tier for my first anniversary and this time I actually got to taste our cake… it was delicious!!! Thank you!

Chocoelat is contracted with Wedgewood Crystal Springs, and I ordered a cake through them for my September wedding this year. What can I say, the cake that was delivered far exceeded my expectations! The design was EXACTLY as I requested from Mary during our consultation. I left the colors of the flowers up to her, and she did not disappoint. Please take a look at my profile pics. I think the package price from Wedgewood included just a buttercream frosted cake, but on the day of the wedding, what we got was a beautifully covered fondant cake, which was what I preferred anyway. I was delighted! But the best thing about Mary’s cakes is the taste. No matter how gorgeous your cake looks, if no one wants to eat it, the whole affair kind of goes sour. I had plenty of people come up to me and tell me it was the best wedding cake they’ve ever tasted, including every one of my bridesmaids – some of who are very figure conscious. A majority of guests asked for seconds. My husband finished every crumb on his two servings. By the way, we chose the sponge cake with bavarian cream and no strawberries. I tried more of the cake at home after I got out of my corset top, and indeed it tasted scrumptious!(and this was after it had been frozen for a few days.) I highly highly recommend Chocoelat for your cake needs!
