My friend invited me to this venue in order to view his music video debut. I also decided to bring my date here as it would be the perfect back drop(and props) for me to observe and delve into his inner thoughts, hopefully illuminate and animate me with his soul. The Mezzanine was transformed into a bazaar like market– reminding me of Khankalili in Cairo, merchants showing off their wares, fabrics, jewelry and art. There was music that enticed the ears, bargainings heard aloud and marvelings at the colors and paintings that adorned every inch of the walls… I was however not mesmerized by all this delight– but was amused by my date’s interest and enjoyment… I have only experienced this once– when everything seemed to have quieted and slumbered– but only his voice I heard– eloquently speaking about what he found facinating. He took me by the hand– and we meandered through each frame– much like a diver’s first glimpse of a new world. I discovered his passions– it was rich and robust– I was impressed by his erudition– he understood what I spoke of– listened to me attentively remembering them as the night progressed. There were definite sublime moments of enrapturing tenderness that art often extends to its captive audience– except this art was not for sale and I was its audience… It is obvious that I was enamored by this date– who still managed to make me laugh by his taste in panties, art and wit. I hope next year’s will be a festive anniversary and Im not talking about the 10th for Chillin’ Productions!!! ;-) PS– I hope WE go again next year!

chillin’ rox! MEGA-TRUNKSHOW: DESIGNERS: ART: FILM: FUNKYBEATS i’ve been doing chillin for 3 years now and it just keeps getting better. the queen of the hive is a gorgeous vixen with waist-length hair and an accent to die for… 5STARS because unlike every other trunk show in the city, she never charges the artists + designers for participating. that means all the money from the sales goes straight back to the artists you’re supporting… which is the whole idea, yes??? anyway, i’ll be at the 9-year with my little corner of cream set up for your delight… along with 59!!! OTHERROCKSTARDESIGNERS!!! i mean do you ever really need to go to the ‘vacaville premium outlets’ again? i didn’t think so… (OHTIPOFTHEDAY : if you’re planning to shop and you don’t want to stand in line: 1. get there early(doors at 8pm) 2. bring cash 3. bring me chaampagne truffles please

These people are the most designer friendly promoters in the city. Irene works her ass off to put together fun, successful shows and sample sales. I have never ever been disappointed about being part of one of her events. They can get crowded but isn’t that the point?

CHILLIN is a production company that hosts monthly events where the public is able to shop, party and socialize. They have 60 designers selling at wholesale price along with artists and photographers selling their latest work. What better way to shop and mingle with the coolest of the bay. Shop like a pro and chill to the grooviest beats.
