As a student in the City College, I find it convenient that there’s a place to grab a quick snack before my next class. The California rolls they sell there satisfy my hunger; in terms of quality and taste, however, it doesn’t quite rate. Would recommend this place for folks who love coffee and people who need a quick snack.

This place has some of the best coffee in the city, hands down. I might even go as far as to say it’s better than Philz, and I’m a huge Philz Coffee fan. Their tea and food is tasty as well but i come here soley for their coffee, even when i dont have class at city college. Absolutely delicious!

Cashier today burned my hand when he gave me my lavender tea and didn’t apologize. I know that it’s super busy around this time but you guys should be more careful when handing hot items to customers

Love this place! Honestly had the best vanilla latte of my life here. The sandwiches are bomb too try the caprice or the avocado hummus… so good.

Black regular coffee was $ 2.00 for 12oz or something tiny. Brew was not worth it in my opinion.

I love chasing lions, it’s the best place to get good coffee and good quality food that you can conveniently take with you to class. Also, the staff is(mostly) always really great, and they’re always playing good music. However, this semester has been lacking to say the least. I grabbed their corn chowder right before class, and when I got to class I realized that my cup was filled with about 99.9% liquid and barely anything else. I had a 3 hours of class ahead of me, so I was reeealllyyyy hungry. I also get their sandwiches on occasions and I find them overpriced and lacking ingredient. I give Chasing Lions four stars because I can’t bring myself to believe that their service and product is going down hill because I really love having them ESPECIALLY at CCSF. So if you work there and you’re reading this: STEPITUP :)

This place is my life savor when I haven’t ate nothing all day because I’m running around for classes. The coffee and teas are really good. The pastries are really tasty as well. Really enjoy coming here. The service is always very kind and make you feel welcomed. Their is a line sometimes but it’s worth it if your not running late.

Looking at all the good reviews, maybe I am unlucky, but the few times I ordered coffee or Americano had been awful. I haven’t been ordering there much, but since I have class both noon and night this semester, I probably will need some emergency coffee at some point… If they varies and I got the bad batch last few times, I will update this. The corn chowder soup I got has a few sad pieces of chicken and corn in it — watery and tasteless. Their drinks and food are overprice to boot, especially considering they are serving college students. By the way, their tea is more expensive than their coffee. Their apple juice is more expensive than tea and coffee. Last but not least, their hot chocolate is more expensive than their apple juice, tea, and coffee. I don’t understand their logic. The music they play is both horrible for studying and far too loud for a college campus coffeehouse. «Horrible» maybe a personal preference — maybe some like that sort of music while studying — but it being the loudest coffee shop I have sat in is not. One thing I do adore — one of the best customer service experience I have. Their baristas are always energetic and friendly. Sadly, the thing that is most essential — student-friendly price, good coffee and food, serene environment… not here.

It looks cool. tries to be progressive, but overpriced, not best service, and is basically decent last resort. one dollar boiled egg type thing. trendy, tries to be sf, but price point and pretentious staff makes it a hipster café But I’m going to have to be honest. I waited in line and the counter girl ignored me for a few minutes to ring up some older men. The Africana repping prep dudes did their thing, theatrical acting, boisterous. That said, when I walked out heard then judge me, or gossip; label or try to put me in a box. lol. open-minded yeah right.

Okay so I gave this place a 5 star last time because the chocolate chip cookies are DELICIOUS. I came here 3 days in a row and in the first two days they were out of fresh cookies so I had to settle for an old oatmeal raisin cookie(old cookies are half the price: $ 1.25). Today when I stopped by, I saw some chocolate chip cookies behind the glass panel and I was ecstatic… my heart pounded as I walked up the cashier, I could just imagine all the chocolate-y goodness. The cookie was handed to me lukewarm. I quickly took a bite and the cookie was subpar. It was EXTREMELY underbaked = tasted flour-y and falling apart. It was not the cookie that I have come to love. I don’t know what happened here. Hopefully this is just a one-time thing and the cookies will be back to normal the next time I come. The cookie itself was 3 star but –1 because of the feels. :’(

First I want to say I am so in love with the wall which has a lots of tattoo pic on it! I mean that is so COOL! Plus, the music was awesome, every time I went to Lion it Rocks I ordered black coffee(L) which tasted fresh and it is worthwhile to relax and chatting with friends. Thumb up!

Great place for CCSF students to grab a bite or a drink before or after classes. It’s a super convenient location if you park your car in the parking lot next to it. I came here for three things: soup, boxed water, mocha. Their soup is sooo good. It usually has some sort of noodle in it and a bunch of veggies. It’s a very healthy soup and very low in sodium so it’s a little more on the bland side, but my taste buds love it. This soup has saved me a few times when the foggy San Francisco weather was too cold for me. Their mocha is to die for. It’s so perfectly sweet and chocolaty. I would put it more in the dessert category than coffee. ;) Oh, and the customer service is so great. The workers are always fun and chatty!

I’ve come in here a few times, usually in between classes and I love the Spicy Mocha Latte. I love walking up and hearing the music and they’ve got a great atmosphere. Most of all though, they have great snack choices and an espresso menu which makes it such a great little stop if you’re in the area… Or just running to class.

This is not only my favorite café on campus… it’s one of my favorites in the city. Every drink is divine, their coffee is top notch, and their food is beyond delectable. I have had everything on their menu and my tastebuds are in heaven every time. Their employees are extremely helpful and lovely people. You can tell that they enjoy their jobs and get along. It’s truly a great atmosphere all around. Do yourself a favor and check out Chasing Lions Café. I pretty much look forward to going to school just because of this wonderful place!

This is a neat café on the city college campus. I enjoyed a ham and cheddar sandwich and a bag of chips for about $ 7.00. I would say it’s worth the price tag because the sandwich is a reasonable size and very fresh. I walked in right before they closed and the quality of the bread tasted like it came right out of the oven. I kind of like how their sandwiches are pre-made, helps with the flow of traffic. But, there are a few condiments I could do without in my sammie.

Pretty decent café. Everything is overpriced and a decent meal will be above $ 5 or $ 6. But everything is pretty tasty. Also, one of the girls who works there has a not so nice attitude which makes me not want to go back.

K everyone I did go back for the milk and honey and it was super frothy and super sweet I probably won’t get it again but it was nice for a change it is a good treat everyonce n again I also got the salami sandwhich the bread was whole wheat and the tomatoes were small I took the salami off because I don’t really like salmi too much and this had a really meaty Taste usually when I eat salami it is with cheese and French bread but they were out of the. No matter where I go, what next school I attend, where I live, or what I do, this place will always have a spot in my heartsicles. I am here almost all the time. Sometimes I just get too lazy to check-in, but expect to find me here for the majority of most days. The staff are lovely people. Great students who can make a mean cup of coffee with ease. I’ve always had my orders on point. There’s only been one time where they forgot my order but compensated with a coupon for a free drink, and they ended up making my drink as well. Scoreee. I’ve tried a majority of their drinks here and I’m never disappointed. Their drinks are made with organic Strauss milk. Expressos(made with four barrel expresso & steamed organic milk) — Mocha: This is the drink for you chocolate lovers. It blends chocolate, four barrel expresso, and steamed organic milk together to make a cup that’s smooth, sweet, velvety, and not too strong. You can still taste the coffee but it’s not overpowering.($ 4.50) — Cappuccino: This drink is served in a mug and is pretty strong! If you dont like the bitter taste of coffee then this drink aint for you. But I actually liked it. It’s smooth and great for waking you up.($ 3.25) — Latte: Another blend that is just like a cappuccino, but more creamier since there’s more milk in it. You can have this with vanilla also.($ 3.75 since it’s served in the paper cups instead of the mugs) — Vanilla latte: A sweeter and milkier blend, the coffee isn’t too strong in this one.($ 3.75) — Africano: Super strong and served in a tiny glass. It’s equal parts four barrels and steamed milk. It’s like a traditional macchiato, only the milk isnt dominant. A rare treat for the hardcore coffee drinkers($ 2.50) Hot drinks: — Chai latte: a spicy and sweet blend of chai tea and organic milk. You can also order this as a dirty chai as well.($ 3.50) — Milk and honey: urgh this is my most favorite drink here. Kid friendly since there’s no caffeine in it. Sweet pure honey mixed into steamed organic milk. A sweet treat for the sweet tooth.($ 2.75) — Steamed vanilla milk: yaaaap, kinda like milk and honey but they mix vanilla into the steamed milk. This is also kid friendly and sweet too.($ 2.75) I’ve also tried their food here too. I often frequent their blueberry muffins, since i fancy the way they make the muffin top crunchy and full of blueberries. Wall full of tattoos on actual CCSF students + unique choice of music + overall chill place + accepts cash&card = happy and frequent customer. This is probably why I’m the duchess :].
