Closed? Damn, this place was good! It’s $ 15 a plate so by the time you finish its $ 20+ a person but totally worth it! Eat here today. We came for Sunday Brunch in one of the worst storms of 2015 and there were surprisingly a lot of people here. That’s a good sign. We were seated quickly by employees who like their job. Friendliness goes a long way. I ordered the Doritos Fried Chicken Benedict. I wonder what happened.

The food was great… definitely overpriced, the service was slow despite the few number of guests… we had burgers and they were well worth the wait… flavorful and juicy… This place would get 5 stars if the service and prices were better

Came for Sunday brunch, sadly it was pretty dissappointing. $ 17 entire menu, and u can add sides that I think were about $ 5 each. Cronuts– an actual croissant, dusted w cinnamon sugar Ponuts(pancake donuts) –wet in the middle like raw dough, very strange & not in a good way Breakfast combo — The English muffin was soft and fresh, the homemade jam doesnt come w your plate, u have to request it. Comes in a community jar ans didn’t have much flavor. Bacon and eggs were nothing special, and potatoes were over seasoned for my taste. Mimosa — I shouldn’t complain bc they weren’t skimpy on the champagne but there was no juice flavor in mine.(I asked for half OJ half Pomegranate) Side salad and melon came w every meal– melon was fresh and salad was a simple mixed, but I like that.

Came for Weekend brunch. Looked very promising. Easy to get to, appearance is modern bar. Free Hibiscus cooler on check in! It’s a one-price menu for the brunch options. $ 17 for each dish. Dang, it better be worth it. Heads up, was not. We had the Breakfast nachos and Steak Eggs Benedict. Breakfast nachos — spicy potatos with sour cream/salsa/guacomole. Not the most inventive, and certainly should not at that price point. Slightly better than Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes from Taco Bell. That should say enough. Steak Eggs Benedict — you gotta do one thing on a benedict. Have a perfect poached egg. Failed x 2. Had two eggs, both were cooked. Not golden runny goodness. Good hollandaise however. Decent steak. Would not come back here brunch.

This place has amazing breakfast burritos. Straight up. The breakfast menu is small, and the place has a very confusing ambiance; but if you are just looking for seriously good food, look no further. The burrito came with some of the best pico I’ve ever had. Seems like a wacky thing to remember, but it was crazy good. Like how was it so good? I could have done without the potatoes in the burrito, but it was so good as a whole I didn’t mind. The place was that you’d find of a hippy coffee joint. Crudely placed photos of tractors on a blank wall and the featured portraits from an artist who may have had art training of a third grader. That sounds snobby, but go ahead and take a look for yourself. Don’t be fooled, the check in deal here of Bloody Mary’s does not exist as the bartender does not arrive until lunch time, but regardless, seriously, the food. So good.

Indecisive to whether I should give 3 stars or 4. Tried to make a reservation at OpenTable, but I couldn’t make one an hour in advance, so Unilocal told me to call. I called to make a reservarion, which one of the waitresses allowed me to do. When we got there: 1. You don’t who is the hostess because there isn’t a counter at the entrance. 2. They told me there was no reservation under my name, but they were nice enough to seat me because the waitress remembered me on the phone. 3. Their system for reservations and seating were not good. It seems more difficult than it should be. Food was excellent, but the service wasn’t as good. 1. They rush, so you don’t get the high service you would expect for. 2. There were so many plates, they weren’t nice enough to ask whether some plates needed to be taken away. 3. Took awhile for condiments and drinks we asked for. 4. Our to-go food took longer than us waiting for a table and getting our food combined. Service was what prevented me from giving them high stars, but I would definitely come back because of the food.

Definitely MAKE a RESERVATION during the weekends! We waited 10 minutes even with a reservation however the service and the FOOD made up for it! Had the Blueberry Bacon Pancakes Benedict and, my lord, it was delicious! Potatoes were dry but thankfully they were the sides of the entrees, and I didn’t get my bacon so going to knock off a star for that. My friends had the Classic Benedict and the Monte Cristo and both said their entrees were solid. All three entrees came with a salad starter. A little over dressed but still edible and good. The service was great, as packed as they were on a Sunday at 1230 pm, they were still attentive and took your orders in a timely manner. Food came out about 15 – 20 minutes after the order. I would definitely come back for the Blueberry Bacon Pancakes!

The entrée prices are standardized at $ 16 a pop and include a really delicious salad with fresh fruit. However, the portion sizes are not quite equal across the board. Despite this one flaw, I think it’s still good bang for the buck, considering going into the city for brunch would probably run you just as much — and without the included salad. The menu lacks depth and isn’t tied together by any one unifying motif. It’s really not so much a brunch place as it is a lunch place with a few breakfast-y items. I very much recommend the croissant french toast, which tastes and feels like an amped up version of a toaster strudel, which, believe me, is not a bad thing. On the other hand, I desperately urge you to swerve on the breakfast nachos. Despite being called nachos, we got literally 4 tortilla chips to go with a full bowl of potatoes, eggs, ground meat, etc. Can’t exactly call the dish nachos if there aren’t any nachos… While the interior is perfectly passable, the atmosphere is slightly… confusing. It’s like the owner couldn’t quite settle on a seating arrangement or general theme for the restaurant. All in all, decent spot if you’re craving specific items on the menu(i.e. croissant french toast), but the overall experience is a little ambivalent.

I clearly had a much different experience that other people Pros Simple straight forward menu with all entrees at $ 16 makes it easier to decide Portions are fair Cons Overdressed salad and not enough fruit Sausage in the gravy tasted like the frozen processed stuff you get in blocks versus real ground up sausage meat Actual gravy was seasoned fine but the roux needed to be cooked longer, could still taste the flour Biscuit was dense, really would have liked it to be lighter My family went a week after I did and had similar thoughts and brought me leftovers to eat. Suffice to say their dishes were slightly better but still didn’t change my feelings Overall Thoughts Not my go to brunch spot but for others it might be the perfect fit

This place is a lil gem… Especially for that area. I’m glad there’s a decent and yummy brunch place near my house! The free Bloody Mary with your first check-in was an added tip for the customer :). The menu had different options and all the meals come with a salad and fruit, which was also yummy and pretty good amount. I added the all you can drink mimosas for 16 bucks. If you have 4, it’s worth it, otherwise it’s 6 bucks for 1. Anyway, I enjoyed my meal and service was good, the staff are all super nice and sweet. It closed at 3 and they didn’t even kick us out when we were still drinking at 320. I’d come back again for sure.

Nice restaurant on 3rd perfect for brunch or dinner. We went on a sunny day and they had the side doors wide open to let in a breeze. Menu has a lot of sweet and savory combinations and some of the basics for brunch. Organic coffe was good and my daughter loved the hot cocoa. We ordered the blueberry-bacon pancakes and monte Frisco. All entrees come with a green/fruit salad starter. The salads are tossed in an Italian-ish vinaigrette which was good and fruit was fresh. Blueberry-bacon pancakes were a perfect balance between savory and sweet when topped with a little syrup. Spicy potatoes weren’t very spicy but a little over seasoned. Monte Frisco was yummy as well but I would have liked the bread a little more toasty. I wish I had gotten our server’s name. She was fantastic! Very freindly and told us we’re were her favorite table of the day :). I hope she’s there when we go back to try something from the dinner menu.

We randomly visited CDXX and was pleasantely surprised at the quality of their food and service. We went for brunch on a Saturday, arrived at about 11am and was immediately seated. No wait. Awesome!!! We ordered the Raspberry Buttermilk Crossaint French Toast which came with bacon and their Breakfast Nachos which included spicy roasted potatoes, corn tostadas, cheddar-beer sauce, chives, pico de gallo, tomatillo guacamole, sour cream, &2 cage free poached eggs. Before our main dishes arrived, we were served with complimentary salad and fruit which was refreshing. Each dish that arrived was amazing. The french toast wasn’t overly sweet even with the raspberry sauce. Their breakfast nachos was the perfect fusion of Mexican American breakfast. Overall, i definitely recommend this place and would return to try their other dishes.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would– without hesitation. CDXX is officially one of my new, favorite brunch spots. I had the sausage gravy and rosemary biscuits. My husband had the steakhouse eggs benedict. Absolutely some of the best breakfast items we have enjoyed. In addition, we shared a maple chicken wonut(waffle donut). I was in a food coma afterward and, boy, was it worth it. The service was phenomenal and the drinks were great. 100% recommend this place!

It is one of the best restaurants in San Francisco to grab food. I really enjoyed the large portion of their servings and the incredibly delicious food. The customer service was great, it made me feel comfortable. The warm and welcoming vibe of the staff is probably one of the best things I will always remember aside from their fantastic food. I’m also happy to realize that there’s actual racial diversity among the customers and the staff in this restaurant that I don’t normally see in most restaurants in San Francisco, since it is generally composed of white people or Asians. It is not my intention to be political by this is one of the few observations that I noticed from this wonderful restaurant. I highly recommend this place!

Wonuts: combination of a waffle and donut. We ordered the fried chicken maple wonuts. What I tasted was a salty waffle with some sweet syrup, but definitely couldn’t taste any fried chicken. It was a bit disappointing. We were delighted with the fruit salads. The greens and fruits were fresh and the dressing was zingy. Our breakfast nachos were tasty, but the poached eggs were a bit inconsistent, having one egg nicely poached, and the other egg having half a yolk missing. The nachos could probably have used more chips and less potatoes. When asked if we wanted whipped cream on our hot chocolates, we declined. When the hot chocolates came out, there was a lot of whipped cream. However, they were very rich and creamy, definitely not from a powder mix. The raspberry croissant French toast was decadent. Perfectly rich, moist, crisp, and berry-ful. It came with crispy strips of bacon that made it all the better. Our experience was soured at the end by the hostess telling us that we had 10 minutes left. We completely understood that the restaurant was filling up and they needed our table to be cleared, but the delivery was quite rude, especially when we had just paid our bill and were about to leave anyway. Overall, OK.

Had to ask what cdxx stood for. I’ll give you a hint: Roman numerals. I’m sure you can figure it out from there. Came on Memorial Day and was happy to see that there was easy parking and no wait(even when we were leaving). We even got there 10 minutes before they opened and they kindly let us lounge in their lounge area(couch toward the back) and served us coffee while we waited. Checked in and took advantage of the Unilocal check in deal: free Bloody Mary, which was a nice little perk. We got a table for four and a baby, and it was roomy and spacious, and didn’t feel cramped like a lot of the other brunch spots in the city. We were a bit overwhelmed by the donut, croughnut, ponut(pancake donut), and wonut(waffle donut) selection, but ended up starting with the fried chicken and waffle, and cinnamon and sugar wonuts. The latter tasted just like a churro. We wanted to try it all so we each got a dish to share and ended up with an unfinishable feast: sausage gravy and biscuits, raspberry buttermilk croissant French toast, breakfast nachos, and the monte Frisco. Verdict: overall, a good place that’s new and worth trying for yourself. It was a short drive to a nice brunch spot with decent service and no wait. Food was good, and I think in time it will be even better. They provide a lot of reasons to come like huge, endless, coffee mugs at a decent price, salads with every entrée which basically doubles their already generous portions, and a free Bloody Mary for checking in. Of the entrees my favorite was the monte Frisco because it basically combines all breakfast goodness into one dish. The best part for me was the adventure of a new place combined with the spaciousness and quick seating, which I don’t think will be the case for much longer(which is purely my own speculation). If they kick it up a notch on the deliciousness scale when I return, I wouldn’t hesitate to give them five. Tip: make sure to try their ketchup, it’s home made and tasty. Don’t stay longer than 2 hours(there are signs posted about).

Wow! Just… wow! I came here on Valentine’s Day. I needed a place that took reservations and wasn’t too fancy since we’d have our kids with us. This might be my favorite place for brunch! Here’s what we ordered: Fried Chicken Wonut with Maple– OMG! I’m still thinking about these. They were probably my favorite. The only thing I wasn’t too happy about was that we had to share. Nutella Egg Rolls(I think that’s what they’re called?) Crispy outer shell with nutella filling. Crunchy texture from the hazelnuts. YUM! I ordered the Breakfast Nachos. Can I just start off by saying that I LOVED their breakfast potatoes. If only I could make them at home. Anyway! It’s topped with poached 2 eggs and they were cooked perfectly. As soon as I broke open the yolk, a «river» of creaminess flowed onto my potatoes. YUM! The portion was huge and I didn’t realize there was bacon bits till I managed to finally make a dent in them. Hubby got the Steakhouse Eggs Benedict. He shared a bite with me and the steak was cooked prefect and was flavorful. My daughter got their breakfast combo which had eggs, bacon, potatoes and their toasted english muffin.(which was so buttery!) Thank goodness we had reservations! There was a good amount of people waiting outside to get seated. I’ll be back for sure! Their waitstaff was wonderful!

Here’s the deal. CDXX has a menu covered in delicious, mouth watering fried chicken, barbecue pork and burgers. I am 100% sure that all of these entrees would leave me flat on my back. But I made a mistake. Instead, I ordered the Vegan Curry with Tofu. Why, do you ask? I’m not entirely sure. Maybe I felt guilted into eating something a bit more healthy. Perhaps I like making poor decisions. Regardless of the reason, the curry had minimal taste and the tofu was bland, even by tofu standards. Pretty disappointing for $ 17 with tax and tip. However, it isn’t fair for me to leave this as a review for the whole business considering I know vegan isn’t what CDXX does right. They do soul food, they do American(new!). So I’ve promised myself, and CDXX, that I shall return next week and update my review. Lookout cronuts, I’m coming for you.
