This is a decent place for a quick breakfast or sandwich, but they are cash only and have really limited choices of bread and cheese for a sandwich.

We are staying at the nearby Lombard Motor Inn. Café Le is only 5 minutes from there. Service was fast and friendly. Breakfast was prepared to perfection and prices are very reasonable. Coffee is good too.

I had pancakes and eggs, with a medium mocha latte while I visited for breakfast. My S/O had the cheese and egg croissant with a medium espresso– our result? 17 dollars of pure deliciousness. Okay, honestly, the pancakes were nothing super special, but I did sneak a few bites of the croissant and was very jealous. However I was the real winner with me mocha latte. I love coffee– I will go anywhere and everywhere that sells coffee and I’ve been from the east coast, down to southern Texas, and now to San Fran but not a single place could beat this delicious mocha latte. I don’t know what witchcraft they performed on this latte but I will definitely be back for one! I just wish I had ordered a large… Also, the people who run the place are so friendly and accommodating. I felt like I was at home. The guy who runs the place is super funny. Too long; didn’t read– GOGETBREAKFASTHERE! You can’t go wrong. :)

$ 3.25 for a wimpy breakfast sandwich consisting of a bagel with one egg and a slice of cheese. I would recommend making this a 2-egg sandwich to give it a little height. Service: Minimalistic. They don’t talk much or really greet you. Simple. Ambience: A few chairs and tables inside. THe bathroom is so ghetto. The lights went out when I was sitting on the toilet so i had to get up mid-pee and wave my hands around to get the sensor. I’d be willing to come back and try their sandwiches though. –Hungry Hungry Pongy

I was visiting from out of town and this was the closest coffee shop to my hotel. They have the friendliest service and the food and coffee were fantastic! I highly recommend this place! Don’t forget to bring cash!

Wonderful people, and awesome service. So far, I’ve just gotten the chicken teriyaki sandwich, but the breakfast sandwiches look good. And there is a sign on the door, «students not allowed during school hours». So it must be so good that kids skip class for it.

I LOVE their breakfast! They cook everything to perfection. We always grab breakfast here on the weekends. I love the pancakes/eggs/sausage combo. My BF loves the breakfast croissants. Super mom and pop place. It’s always busy on the weekends(great!). Just your friendly neighborhood café.

First Cup was closed and we needed to grab some breakfast while we waited for the 30X. We got bagels and cream cheese and it was just fine. Nothing special but not bad at all.

…Alright so today the 30X went by five times with out stopping! Five! What’s a girl to do? Stop wasting precious breakfast time and head into Café Le for a coffee and a Costco muffin! The older gentleman who works there is always super friendly and for what it is … it fits the bill. Only draw back is it’s cash only! Boo.

Made a quick stop in here while waiting for the cab I ordered to take me to the airport — and found myself very pleased that I did. My breakfast was made fresh — and quick! And my orange juice was nice and cold — and tasted fresh. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant and it was all very good. The bread was soft and fluffy… the bacon tasted real and the egg was cracked right before my eyes. I threw some ketchup and sirracha on it and took that baby to go. Great place to pop into — friendly and quick service. And cheap enough. Very satisfied.

For what it is, chef le is pretty good. And what it is is a quick cheap breakfast outside my girlfriends house. I go here for breakfast before work because it’s close to the bus stop. The owner(Le?) doesn’t say much but he’s pretty nice.

Stopped in here for a quick cheap breakfast sandwich. I had a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on a crosant. The food was good, cooked as I watched, so very fresh. Nice place to stop in for a fresh breakfast. It does have limited seating.

I would usually come here for lunch and the food is pretty decent with many different varieties with a nice owner that serves you fast. I would not suggest buying their Thai ice tea as its mostly ice and milk which is a rip off. I would suggest going here early during lunch if you want more food.

Café Lé is a solid place. I used to eat here a lot while going to school nearby. It’s affordable, they have a nice selection of foods from sandwiches, breakfast, pastries, and select chinese dishes. A sandwich costs around $ 4 – 5 depending what you get and a croissant or bagel will be around $ 3, which includes meats, cheese, eggs. My personal favorite would always be a cheese, egg, and sausage croissant which cost me $ 3.50. During lunch hour, they would sell a delicious chicken teriyaki over rice for a reasonable $ 5 which was very filling. The family who runs this business is very nice and friendly and make sure they get your order(order=money). Only suggestion is if your in the mood for breakfast or lunch, try to avoid going during the times where students crowd this place as it was sometimes difficult to move around in the café. The most busiest times are usually around 730−800am and 1130 – 1 when students surround the area. Other than that, it us a great place to try and very easy on the wallet.

Very friendly and family-owned. The food is decent and cheap. Don’t expect speciality cheeses or organic veggies on your sandwich, but everything is fresh, tasty and fast. My favorite breakfast sandwich(in general from anywhere) is egg and bacon with a tomato. Of course this isn’t on their menu, but they’re happy to make it for me.

Good cheap wholesome food. The owner is super nice and gets your order right away. Probably one of the bustiest places during the regular school year and the massive numbers of high school students(Galileo High School is located adjacently across the street). It’s better to go before or after lunch hours of 12pm to 1pm.

One of those simple breakfast places with a friendly staff and mellow atmosphere, perfect for a morning hangover stroll on a nice day. Support the locals and take a friend out to breakfast.

This place is cheaper than first cup… but, the sandwiches are not as food… andddd their terriyaki chicken rice is pretty nasty… the chicken looks like white meet smashed together bleached and then sliced to look liek something you can put into a sandwich. –x3 shells
