My husband and I came for lunch and have to say it was pretty underwhelming. I ordered the vegetable sandwich with cheese. Husband ordered grilled chicken. Chicken sandwich was sliced chicken and rubbery like it was microwaved. My vegetable sandwich had no cheese. When asked about it the clerk said oh I guess our order machines are not talking to each other. He did nothing to make it right. I paid $ 11 for toasted bread, lettuce, mayo, tomato, avocado and some red onion. Seems steep and very not worth it.

Pretty good breakfast. We had the simple egg and french toast. There’s more place to sit downstairs. Service was fine.

This café would be awesome except their internet does not work and no one does anything about it. I tried several times last week and also this week with my phone and laptop. Seems like a really lame problem for a café to be unable to solve. We are in SF for goodness sake! They are loosing so much money by people going to other cafes to work, if i owned this place I’d do something about it.

Loved this coffee shop :) I had to go with trying the popular lavender latte because I love anything different and it was really good and pretty. I also tried their fresh squeezed grapefruit juice and that was good also. The location is also a plus with pretty views of the bay

Was not overly impressed. The three of us walked in and there were probably 3 people behind the counter, but we had to wait about 5 minutes before we got service. Finally, a young man walked behind the register and apologized for the wait. It wasn’t even busy. There were maybe 7 others in the shop, and they were already seated and had their orders. Once we finally placed our order, the barista didn’t seem to be in any hurry. Not that we were in a time crunch or needed to be anywhere, but she sure took her time pouring the milk and her time management was not the most effective. She just didn’t seem to care about our business. I’m not too picky when it comes to espresso — I really like coffee so I was excited to try something new and visit a new coffee shop. I’ve worked in a coffee shop and developed my skills as a barista, but I’ve never bought into the whole idea that one brand of coffee is the best one out there or that one technique is the only way to do it. That being said, I was not impressed with how the espresso tasted in my drink. It was weak, and I don’t think that it was pulled well. The milk was steamed well, but I would have liked it a little hotter.(I would have asked but we left once we had our drinks). I tried my mom’s drink and my dad’s drink and the espresso quality and the temperature seemed to be pretty consistent. I would like to give this business another shot, but I don’t live in the area(we’re from Nebraska). I see a lot of great reviews on here, so I’m sure we just had a bad experience. Was originally going to give 2 stars, but decided on 3 stars because I liked the atmosphere and it was very clean. Seemed like a place I could spend an afternoon in sipping coffee. The condiment area was well kept and well stocked. The food looked awesome, so I wish we could’ve tried that.

Inexpensive and excellent breakfast, lunch and coffee right next to Ghirardelli Square. Skip the tourist traps. Their $ 12.75 Cobb salad is fresh and delicious. Their hamburgers are more meat than bun. Yum. And awesome coffee.

Annie L. recommended the lavender latte — she has great taste. It was beautiful in presentation and delicious to drink. Being our third day on our trip I needed something healthy to make me feel not so sluggish and drowsy from my «vacation diet.» Their iced tea was also refreshing and freshly brewed. Their health nut bar was the perfect portion and packed with nutritious ingredients. My partner ordered the oatmeal, and it looked beautiful topped with fresh strawberries and raspberries. The location is also great. We stopped in on our way to the waterfront. What a way to start the day!

I absolutely love this café. It is such a gem in the otherwise touristy Fisherman’s Wharf. I had the pleasure of trying the lavender latte, tropic of cocoa(coconut mocha), White Mac Dre(macadamia nut), and the croissant breakfast sandwich. I highly suggest stopping in here for breakfast, a coffee, or just to get some work done. I’ll absolutely be back!

Lavender latte is a must! I was a little skeptical about it(I can be alittle picky with my lattes) but the worker convinced me by saying that it was the most popular latte on their menu. I was very happy with my order(almost wished I ordered a bigger size) it was definitely one of a kind! The drink was a bit on a sweeter side but as the ice melted, the sweetness level became perfect. My other friends ordered ice bees in the trees latte and ice Americano and they both liked their drinks, except that she said her bees in the trees latte was a little too sweet, too. I loved the interior of the coffee shop. As you enter, you see a display of solar-powered dancing flowers, which btw are for sale for $ 10 each. The place was decorated with cute plants hanging off the ceiling and all the workers were interacting with one another happily and the entire coffee shop was filled with a bright ambience. It is a two-stories place, with plenty of seatings on 1st floor. Overall, it is a great spot to get works done, read or just hang out with friends.

A nice location and a well-run shop(with a sparkling clean bathroom, to boot!), but otherwise the coffee and food are fairly average. I can see how this place is a favorite of folks in the immediate neighborhood, and a pleasing, relatively uncrowded choice for tourists happening by. Simply a dependable neighborhood café with solid, albeit unremarkable, offerings.

My sister was in a super cranky mood and needed coffee STAT. We started walking down to fisherman’s wharf and ran into this super cute coffee shop and ordered three speciality coffees: one with honey, one with lavender, and one with chocolate and coconut. The place was very small and quaint, and the drinks were delicious. I felt like we each ordered a drink that was god for our individual personalities.

«White Mac Dre», which is a white chocolate mocha with macadamia nut syrup, yes please! Interesting café in a great location across from Ghirardelli square. They even have screen shading so the sun doesn’t blind you as you’re drinking or eating. You know me and sandwiches so I had to get their Veggie sandwich with bacon $ 12. $ 10 sandwich plus $ 2 bacon. Oh, the mocha was $ 5. Pricey, but maybe it’s because this place is on prime real estate. Great independent coffee shop.

Black Point is in the most touristy part of the city, so I was hesitant to visit, but thought I would take a chance. I arrived and was greeted by a chatty barista who took my order and made me feel welcomed. I ordered a specialty lavender latte sprinkled with dried lavender, that was almost too pretty to drink. The espresso flavor and foam were on point but I was undecided about the taste of lavender. I also ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on toasted sourdough. The ingredients were simple, but the bacon was a nice thick cut and the bread had just the right amount of crunch. The décor is simple, yet chic and has large windows that frame the beautiful view of the bay. I was lucky on this day because the sun was shining and the rays of sun warmed up the café. I’m sad I only recently discovered this café, as I moved from the Bay Area less than a year ago and can’t frequent it unless I visit San Francisco. I can’t wait to come back to try Black Point’s delectable array of sweets and unique coffee drinks!

Such a quaint little place tucked away from the hype of fisherman’s wharf. We walked in because we were looking for a locally owned coffee shop. And we found this gem. The staff were so kind and of course helpful with suggestions on what to order. The lavender latte brought us in. But if I lived in the area I would definitely be back for more.

Wandering the sights of San Francisco we wanted a light lunch before continuing through the tourist packed mayhem of Fishermans wharf. A quick Unilocal returned black point café so we gave it a go. A small menu, quiet warm atmosphere and friendly staff stood out. We ordered 1 of each quiche(bacon, asparagus and Swiss and the other feta, spinach and mushroom) with a small side salad and a coke for $ 19.48. We found a seat down the stairs looking out at the view of the bay. It took about 5 minutes before my name was called and I collected our plates. Condiments and knives and forks are located off to the side. The quiche was delicious! It was perfect and exactly why we needed. Light and tasty with the perfect amount of seasoning. The salad was just a few leaves with dressing. So simple but just right. Don’t expect anything special, just expect a tasty meal, quiet and relaxing atmosphere.

Dat Lavender latte doe… If I lived near here, I’d make the lavender latte a staple morning pick-me-upper! It’s the perfect flavor of lavender without being overwhelming and the perfect creamy texture of the latte. The espresso itself is not bitter and right on point. Pair that lavender latte with a handmade chocolate almond croissant(to die for!) and you’ve got yourself the perfect breakfast treat! The ambiance is wide, spacious and somewhat modern. And the views from right outside the café are unparalleled(it’s right across the street from Ghirardelli Square). Definitely consider Black Point for your next coffee shop craving! Happy Eating/Drinking, Unilocalers!

They have so many outlets!!! We just had to stop to take a picture of the cute flower décor in their display. The doors were wide open and welcoming for pedestrians to take a peek. So we did. I ended up getting the Bees in the Trees with almond milk, which is their version of latte with honey. It was at a fair amount of sweetness and the foamy milk was light with the perfect touch to the top of my hot beverage. It was just as enjoyable as it continued to cool down as well. I also tried the lavender latte which had mini lavender leaves on top. It smelled divine and had a nice florally aftertaste — like a coffee tea! And as I mentioned before, they have outlets! I mean all coffee shops have outlets, but ENOUGH outlets is another story. Black Point is definitely on point with their coffee, location and outlets. Super thumbs up! P.S! It says it closes at 7 on Sunday but it closed at 5PM!!!
