I work nearby and five years ago I came into this place with my colleague for a nice breakfast. This place is fantastic. The food is always made with fresh ingredients; you can tell because the kitchen is pretty visible in this small space. I am obsessed with their biscuits. The real star of this place, though, is the people who work there. Being a regular, they treat me like a good friend. If I ever feel down about work or just burnt out, I know I can go here and see pictures of the server’s babies and have a really satisfying breakfast. It’s a block off of the wharf but is never over-crowded. If you’re hitting the tourist spots but want to sit down for a breather and some really tasty grub, go here. You won’t regret it. I’m just sad my department is moving offices down to Civic Center. But I know I’ll make a special trip to the BSG whenever I’m in the area.

What a lovely gem. From the moment I stepped into the Beach Street girl I was treated like a queen. Excellent service, great coffee, gluten free homemade pancakes, and crab Benedict to die for!!!

I shared the crab Benedict and the organic fruit pancake. Both were amazing. Really friendly people and quick service.

If I could give it zero stars I would. After being seated by the manager we sat for 15 min with no service. Everyone else on the other side who were seated after us ordered right away. We called over a server and he said to give him a few minutes. We left after that, clearly service is not their strong point ad they aren’t after repeat business.

Overcrowded and overpriced. Server was nice but food was undercooked and very cold. Highlight of the meal was watching bussers drop condiments on the ground and then put them back on the counter. Also, throwing dish towels over my party to each other is DISGUSTING! Health department needs to check out this restaurant asap.

My husband and I stopped here for breakfast on our way to check out the Alcatraz tour. What a little gem of a place! Service was awesome, food was great, prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was bright and cheery. My only complaint is that they do not accept American Express, and since it was small business Saturday(sponsored by Amex), I was disappointed that I wasn’t supporting a small business Amex merchant.

Prices are extremely high for okay food. Soda was $ 3 out of a can with no refill. Charged $ 1.50 for ranch & $ 3 extra for gluten free pancakes. Very accommodating to gluten free eaters, but so pricey! $ 6 for gluten free toast… Service was good.

Here in SF for a day, staying local and walked around looking for a non-chain place for lunch. Family of 5 — 3 kids 9 and under. Food was very good — had the breakfast burrito, pancakes and breakfast sandwich. All very good. Service was very good as well… feels like a family owned place. Oh and the coffee was very good as well.

Stopped by for breakfast on our first day in SF with my 2 daughters and 2 granddaughters — what a lucky find. Not only was the food great, and ambience comfortable, but our waitress, Rene, was the best. She is a long time SF resident and provided us with a list of things to do that fit our group to a T. We even returned for another round of great breakfast food to thank her for the recommendations. She is a «mind-reader», without being in your face. Will keep this place on our list of must do’s in SF.

This place is amazinnnnnnnnnnnnnng. It’s so close to where I work! Service is GREAT! Food is FAST! Food is DELICIOUSNESS! You don’t get great quality for reasonable prices nor do you get GREAT service like this anymore, really attentive and caring. I can’t wait to come back and eat!!!

I’ve been here twice now in the past week. I can say this place sure beats the hell out of Ihop which is down the block. The pancakes dont just look but are amazing!!! Service is great too Renee was delightful. Price wise it’s pretty average for the area a bit more than Ihop or Denny’s but the quality is by far superior. The bacon actually tastes like bacon which is more than I can say for other places.

We came to SF to celebrate our daughters 18th birthday. We found this restaurant on Unilocal and OMG the food is awesome. The owner and our server surprised our daughter with a stack of delicious birthday pancakes with a candle. The food was awesome(fresh crab omelette, veggie omelette, and Italian omlett) and the coffee was yummy. We will come back next time we visit SF. Thanks Christine for a great breakfast experience!

Great place to have breakfast close to Fisherman’s Wharf. Crab meat benedict was really awesome. The coffee was good with fast refill. My friends had pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon. Everyone was really happy and the portion easily helped us through the day. Staff was very attentive and friendly.

Great location a block back from Fisherman’s Wharf, perfectly placed a short walk from the Argonaut Hotel. Food is top notch, coffee is good(and I love Coffee) and the staff are friendly, efficient and courteous. Loved the Corned beef hash and hash browns

YUM! Perfect breakfast spot just down the street from our hotel. I loved our meal here. It is a fun, family owned little spot sitting under a welcoming green awning. We passed by one day and the sign out front pictures their homemade pancakes topped with fresh berries and powdered sugar. We decided then and there to try it out the next morning. It was just as good as the picture made us believe. For three meals, including a range of items from oatmeal, pancakes, and sides of bacon and sausage, along with tea and coffee we all filled our bellies for just over $ 30 plus tip. The wait staff was friendly and an older gentleman welcomed us in and later stopped by to check on our table, we believe he must be the owner. Definitely delicious, and there was never a wait, unlike the Hollywood spot around the corner. You should definitely try this one out.

I came to this place for breakfast with my 3 kids. The food was great. The service was acceptable. I tried the egg Benedict with crab and it was the best. The only complain that the bill came up to be $ 95.00. Are you kidding me? Just for 3 kids breakfast and one adult? Even though the food was good but it wasn’t worth almost $ 100.

Very friendly service, good breakfast. Huevos rancheros were delicious and the fruit cup was great. Apparently it’s all organic. Nice bonus! Only drawback – one bathroom. We had a big group so…

Nothing beats their Fruit Pancake, with a side of Bacon! But on days when I crave for eggs, I order the Spicy Chicken Omelette with a side of Avocado. Perfectly complemented with Organic OJ. Service is fast and friendly. Lily is all about service with a smile. And the owner Christine is such a wonderful lady. All organic breakfast spot, and gluten free options available as well!

I came here for breakfast one morning. I have to eat gluten free and was excited to find a place that offers gluten free options close by to where I was staying. The inside is very dated. The server was very friendly, but the wait for the waters, food, etc was kind of long. The price was very expensive for what we got. It was my mom and I eating and the bill was around $ 50, such an expensive breakfast! The food was good, but not amazing. We both ordered the gluten free pancakes. I got mine with berries and whip cream on top. It only came with pancakes and no sides. I didn’t order any additional sides. I saw one guy come in for a cup of regular coffee to go. They were charging him $ 2.50 for the coffee and as he tried to pay with his card the server told him it was cash only. The guy only had $ 1.50 so they sent him away and told him to get coffee somewhere else. I felt bad for the guy. I then asked the server if it was cash only because all I had was a card and he said«no we accept credit cards». I’m not sure why he told the guy 5 minutes prior that they didn’t. Overall if I was back in the area and needed a gluten free option I would return. Otherwise, there is better food elsewhere for less of a price.
