if you’re using a credit/debit card the minimum purchase is $ 8, so keep that in mind. i was inly going to get a regular gyro added a bag of chips and a Stewart’s soda to bring my total to $ 8.45. a fair price, considering the location and taste.(if you went to Subway and got a similar meal it’d be around 6.50 probably) i liked their sauce and the flatbread they used! it was nice and fluffy and squishy, unlike other places i’ve been to in SF that use an extremely thin outer bread. nice homey Korean folks ran the place and i felt right at home :) thanks for the delicious meal ! — a poor student

I tried the gyro. Not bad considering it’s a sub place. I arrived at the end of the day so my bread choices for my sandwich was limited. Didn’t matter as it chock full of meat and fixings. Very tasty and great the second day as well.

This place is my favorite ever! I go here at least 3 times a week. The people that work there are the LOVELIEST people in the world, and they are so sweet and caring. I love them. Their sandwiches are definitely the best in the bay. The ingredients are so fresh, and the sandwich is so toasty and warm and perfect. I get a large veggie(everything on) on dutch crunch with provolone. Best thing in the world!

This little hole in the wall puts out a large volume of tasty sandos. Don’t go at the prime lunch time of 12−1pm, if you can call your own shot for taking lunch. Very friendly and have no problems taking phone orders either. My go to sando shop in the Pac.

Really good reasonably priced subs, served warm. Place is small, really small, and hot inside. The owner knew the first name and order of the 5 people that walked in after me. Always a nice touch. Better than Mr. Pickles and Subway. You can’t compare it to Ike’s because its simply not the same. Sandwiches are dense and delicious and a size small will be plenty for 90% of all people, even buff pac heights dads. Prices are extremely reasonable for sf ranging from $ 7-$ 9 The only drawback is that between 12 – 1:30 the sandwiches take a while. 2 sandwiches took around 15 minutes.

Bay Subs and Deli is my favorite sandwich place in the Bay Area! Since I work in the South Bay and BS&D is closed on Sundays, I love Saturdays and I take every chance I can get to work from home!

My daughter and I tried the Gyros. We asked for more of the white dressing. The lady gave us perfect gyros and they’re not even Greek! Better than the Greek place at Westlake. We will have the same every time we’re in the area.

I found Bay Subs since its down the street from my job. I love your hot sandwiches and the service as well. I get Italian salami with provolone and jalapenos, avocado(& the usual lettuce, tomato, pickles) on Dutch crunch or soft roll. YUM!!!

Delicious cheap sandwiches! The owners are really nice and the service was quick. There’s very little seating inside and the line gets pretty long during lunchtime. Got the large bulgogi sandwich for $ 9. It came on a warm dutch crunch roll with mayo, lettuce, and tomatoes. The serving amount of beef was generous and half of the sandwich was enough to fill me up. Would definitely be back here again!

Pretty upset. I ordered the Turkey meets Bacon sandwich and there was hardly any bacon in the sandwich. I was really disappointed and will bring it up if and when I go there in the future! Came here again to give them another shot, but I was even more disappointed. The only bread they had was multigrain. What’s the point in being in business, if you are not prepared and well stocked. And for crime out loud, hire more people. Not fair for someone to have to wait close to 25 minutes for a sandwich. This place blows.

Had a delicious toasted sourdough Italian sandwich, very very friendly staff and affordable too. This might be my Tuesday lunch spot from now on! Update: here for the second time. Tried the ham sandwich on Dutch crunch — it’s great!!!

Nestled in the upscale pacific heights next to the much more expensive Fillmore st is a wonderful mom and pop shop sandwich. The sandwiches are delicious and very affordable, you get a huge sandwich for a small. I tried the bulgogi sandwich which was unique, sweet and tasty. Really fast and great service. Highly recommend, refreshing to see places like this in SF

this place is just a simple, no frills sandwich shop pumping out delicious sandwiches. definitely worth calling in your order so you don’t have to wait(they are super popular around the lunch hour for a very good reason). the owner running the register is very sweet and makes a genuine effort to remember your name. I’m a fan!

Great sandwiches that don’t skimp on the meat a la subway. My favorites are the #1 Special and the Terriyaki beef or chicken. I work around the corner from here, so this my go-to if I’m looking for a simple non-bourgeois meal(which can be hard on filmore). Extra bonus: couple that runs the joint is very sweet and the service has always been prompt.

I’m definitely a fan of this place for a quick and easy lunch. I usually come here in the middle of work where my lunch hour is anywhere from 30 – 60 minutes depending on the day and the flow of work. I love that I never have to order ahead at this place to get my sandwich ready within 10 minutes. But of course, ordering ahead is faster! I usually get the Pastrami sandwich, which you can probably never go wrong with ANYWHERE! But I do like here. If it’s not he pastrami sandwich, then it’s the crab sandwich! It’s marinated so it’s nice and juicy. My coworkers all love this one, and well, that’s basically why I tried it to begin with! My coworkers also get the chicken sandwiches but I love the pastrami and crab sandwiches to try another. Give me a few more months and maybe I’ll end up trying those. We shall see! By the way, this place is super affordable! Most small sandwiches are $ 5.45 and large sandwiches are $ 7.45. Depending on your appetite, you can walk away full with spending as little as $ 4! My coworkers and I sometimes share so just really makes for a great, quick, easy, and affordable meal! PS the cashier(maybe she’s the owner) is super sweet and she’s always smiling and happy to help you with your order!

Owners are very sweet! The crab sandwich is awesome. It’s best to order ahead of time so you don’t wait it line. I wish this place was bigger and had more seating bc there are only two tables but other than that, no complaints! The sandwiches and gyros are a reasonable price and great portion!

Owners are always there! This is probably your only mom and pop shop in Pacific Heights! Mia runs the cashier and her husband makes the sandwichs! Everything is delicious!!! I’ve tried everything but the meatball sandwich, I’ll try it out one day. My favs and go to sandwichs are the Bay Sub #1 and the Korean Sandwichs!!!(Bulgogi Chicken and Beef) soooo good, very tasty! They also toast it, so it’s nice and crunchy! Mia’s customer service is incredible! She really knows her customers. She greets almost everyone by name!!! And knows their order!!! Wow!!! I will at times order on the phone and she recognizes my voice! That’s amazing! They are genuinely kind! I have seen them shopping at my local market and costco! And they recognize me outside of their shop! So cute!

After finding out the hard way that B Patisserie’s day off is Monday, we found this literal modern day hole in the wall. Unilocaling for a neighborhood gyro place, I found this convenient lunch spot just off of Fillmore Street. My friend had a veggie gyro(aka wrap) while I had a small Italian sub on a Dutch crunch roll. Expecting just a gut filling experience, I was pleasantly surprised when my smoking hot(temperature wise) sandwich arrived. Packed with a variety of Italian meats that, of course, included salami, my sammy offered the textural contrast of the melting cheese and crunchy warm bread. We ate at one of their two indoor tables. There are also a couple of sidewalk tables for those rare warm sunny San Francisco days. A mix of neighborhood locals and work service staff ordered as we ate as it is literally just down the block from CPMC. Love hitting these small local owned businesses, especially when they serve good food. Let’s put it this way; I’m still thinking about that meal and it’s been almost two weeks!
