I LOVED this place and as of Monday it’s CLOSED! No notice, just gone. I am so sad.

Really good breakfast option in FiDi. Good and cheap breakfast sandwiches with a much larger lunch menu. Definitely a great and quick option if walking by.

I work just about a block away, and I kind of forgot about this place after getting a breakfast sandwich here a while ago. I just went back for lunch, and this place is all around solid… and soooo cheap for the financial. The breakfast sandwich is pretty standard: nothing to write home about but definitely hits the spot on the way to work. And you can order online so you just have to grab it and go. Think of there sandwiches as if you had all of the sandwich makings you could ever want at your house, and you decided you were gonna make yourself a mean sandy for lunch. Again, this is not artisan sandwichery but it is quite good and downright great for the price. Today, I decided I wanted to test the range of this place and had the Monday special(prokchops, steamed rice and a side salad), and it was actually quite good. Again, your not going to find Anthony Bordain eating here, but for a tiny little deli, this place hits the spot without breaking your(piggy) bank.

By far my favorite Breakfast spot in the area. The breakfast sandwiches, lunch plates and excellent customer service make this deli a TOPNOTCH watery. Plus, where else can you find this quality and array of options for the price. 456 deli you are a Gem.

So first I was gonna order a lot of things, then the person who answered the phone reminded me about the $ 25 minimum delivery fee2 times. I asked about omelettes and she remind me about the $ 30 minimum delivery fee and once I heard it for the 3rd time I was over it.

I go here *all* the time. It’s hard to eat food somewhere else when 456 has such tasty sandwiches and a salad bar at unbeatable prices. Plus, they’re on a plaza that’s protected from the weather, so if it’s cold or windy, you can still eat outside. THEBEST. the best. Never leave, 456 Deli & Café!

This place is a fabulous lunch spot to grab a quick bite. They have an assortment of sandwiches, salads and even spaghetti. The prices are reasonable and the food is great, I highly recommend.

This place is fast, cheap, and delicious. Sandwiches are my comfort food and this place never fails. They toast the bread just enough so it doesn’t get soggy. They stuff the sandwich to the point where you don’t feel like you’re being, but not to the point where the insides shoot out the back end of the bread when you take a bite. Best part? It’s cheap! That’s right. CHEAP! Turkey and Avocado? $ 4.60 Tuna Salad with cheese? $ 4.20 A quality lunch entrée for under $ 5 is near to impossible to find in this city. Just be aware, it’s cash only.

Numbers game. 4: Almost impossible price(plus a few quarters) of my gigantic broiled chicken, marinara sauce and Parmesan cheese on a roll sandwich. 5: Minutes it took to completely devour the entire delicious thing. 6: Numbers of stars 456 Deli should get. Friendly staff, incredible sandwiches and unbelievable prices. Plus a waterfall right outside. They absolutely play to win.

Like someone else had said, this place is truly a hidden gem. I’ve passed by this place for years and years and never thought of checking them out because they are a bit recessed and not on street level. I love their sandwiches and their service. Nothing to complain about at all. Sandwiches taste great and fresh.

Located downstairs in the plaza are cheap sandwiches(healthy and unhealthy options) — roughly $ 5 – 6 and maybe $ 7 if you get a premium one or whatevs. Only gripe is this place is cash only — the old cashier man is really sweet though and I’d gladly come back to support the small business establishment. Plenty of seating downsturrs. They also have viet sandwiches– banh mi– which I haven’t tried here yet, and fresh spring rolls(which were OK). I got a tuna salad + avocado sammich for $ 4.60. They toast the bread and packed on the tuna! Yeeee-uh. I wish they would put a slice or two more of tomato tho but s’all good.

The menu link here is incorrect, go visit their website for the correct pricing; they are not that expensive at all! I’ve head of this place before but never seen it because it’s located downstairs! I was recommended by friends and family members to come try this place. I have come here about 2 – 3 times when I worked downtown and loved them. These guys are pretty nice to greet and offer a variety of goods to eat. I’ve gotten their BLT as well as the roast beef with avocado added and they would toast the bread as well for you. The sandwich is a pretty decent size considering its price and is actually a great deal for being in the financial district.

Sandwich = good. We split two sandwiches… their Reuben and the sausage sandwich. Reuben, way too much«Russian dressing» Gah! :(It was really sweet! Sausage sandwich = winner. I’ll have to get another one! Grilled/fried sausage in a roll, with mustard, mayo, and some lettuce and tomato. Really hit the spot! Service = friendly and fast. Method of payment = CASHONLY.(It’s all over the place, so if you don’t notice it, you’re blinder than my Coke-bottled-four-eyed self!) Prices = cheap to moderate. Overall, I’d stop in here for a quick lunch to go.

A few Co-Workers have recommended this popular little spot and all say it’s great. Its not. It’s good and there’s nothing wrong but its nothing special. It is inexpensive for the area but the portions are small too. If all you care about is cost, go here the prices are great and the food good, but if your looking for a hidden gem this is not it.

For cheap sandwiches in the Fidi, 456 Deli & Café might just be as good as it gets. It’s a hidden gem. Located in the basement of the 456 Montgomery building, 456 Deli & Café is an efficient well-oiled sandwich making machine. I think it’s family run and they are just the friendliest folks. But on to the food. I doubt you can find better sub $ 3 sandwiches around. I’ve had a couple of meat sammies here but since I’ve been on a veggie lunch kick, 456 has been a nice alternatives to salads. Pick from a variety of breads that are then toasted before assembled speedily. The veggie sandwich for $ 3.50 is chock full of goodies like lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, green pepper, mushrooms, olives, and sprouts. The egg salad sandwich is $ 2.75. Hard to beat. They have a salad bar, fresh Vietnamese rolls, all kinds of chips and snacks, and a couple of hot daily specials but most folks here grab sandwiches. It’s easy to see why. Cheap and good sandwiches. Fast and friendly service. 456 Deli & Café is a new lunchtime rotation regular.

Small local deli in FiDi. Very odd location. Wouldn’t have noticed it except for the neon sign downstairs. I grabbed a turkey melt on a French roll plus a coke zero. $ 6 and change. I thought I saw packages of Viet food too. There is seating next to a waterfall. Owners are soooo nice.

Best bang for your buck sandwiches in the area. The veggie is only $ 3.50, and includes generous serving of avocado, sprouts, lettuce, tomato, cukes, mushrooms, bell pepper and olives. Incredible huh? Have them hold the mayo to make this a vegan sandwich. On toasted rye it’s so yum… My ginormous sandwich:

I would have never known about this place unless someone told me about it and by golly I’m glad they did cuz I could eat here everyday! They have such a variety of things: breakfast items, sandwiches, salads, pastas, vietnamese dishes, drinks, candy, snacks, etc. at a very very reasonable price given the general pricey-ness of the financial district. I usually get a sandwich, which is very tasty, and chips, totaling under $ 5. I believe the deli is family owned and they take your order quickly, make it quickly, and ring you up quickly, all with a smile on each of their faces. There is also seating outside of the deli which is excluded from the bustling streets and faces a waterfall kind of thingy.
