I got sick from eating their Sombrero grain bowl on Friday 5⁄6 at this location. It was a bring a friend day(buy one get one free), she got a Spring grain bowl and she was fine. Sombrero didn’t smell right at times, I knew I should have not eaten it… but I ate it any way because the funny smell comes and goes, I thought my nose was just being weird. Yup, I got sick immediately after I finished the bowl. Not cool.

Caesar with avocado and radishes? It used to be anchovies were included, then they cost extra, then I don’t go here for a few months and now I get non-Caesar ingredients in a Caesar. If I wanted avocado and radishes in a salad, I’d ask for a custom Mixt salad. Your staff is A+! I’m just baffled by the non-Caesar Caesar salad which came with a price hike too btw!

My go-to lunch spot in the FiDi. I love the salads and staff is friendly… just wish it wasn’t so pricey!

First, I have to say that I’m not a big fan of salads. I know its cliché, but they just don’t fill me up. As a starting off point, Mixt Greens isn’t the place for me. To avoid salad hunger, I ordered off their sandwich menu. Clearly this menu exists for people like me, who have been tricked into going to a salad spot and need a different – dare I say, better? – option. I ordered the Disco sandwich, which comes with turkey, bacon, tomatoes, some sort of sauce, etc… It looked good, on paper. It should have stayed on the paper. The bread was bland, the turkey was bland, the toppings were fine, but bland. The sauce was overpowering, as if they knew that all their ingredients were bland and tried to make up for it. Also, they put your sandwich in this clear plastic box, and then fill it to the brim with their most bitter leaves. If I wanted a salad, I would have ordered it. Please don’t sog my bland bread with your bitter leaves.

Mixed Greens is salad heaven! *Ahhhh* Aside from serving a great quality salad, their ingredient combinations are unique, yet extremely tasty. I am in no way crazy over salads(I probably will eat a salad once a month, at the max), but mixed greens salads are in a league of their own. It’s super filling and plentiful. The only downside is that they are pretty pricey. But hey! If you’re working in financial district, you could probably afford it which is why their lines are still crazy long during the lunch rush. Nevertheless, I’ll happily wait! First time? Try the bachelor! It’s love at first bite.

Working downtown comes with its moral conflicts. For example, the ease with which I can step outside and quickly find a burrito or burger in my hand can be looked at as both an amazing testament to my enduring affinity for delicious indulgences, or as a curse with which my will power must endlessly grapple for control of my long term health. So it is nice that there are also a myriad of healthy alternatives conveniently located in the same vicinity. My favorite of which would have to be Mixt Greens. No one seeking lunch in the Financial District will be surprised by the wait. It’s nothing out of the ordinary. The menu is fairly succinct, with a selection of salads, grain bowls, and sandwiches, and the folks prepping everything are always quick and friendly. Price is a bit high, but the ingredients are always fresh, and the food leaves you full and guilt free. Which for me is priceless. My go to is the zesty grain bowl, made up of quinoa, grilled chicken, baby kale, mandarin oranges, avocado, and cabbage with a lemon herb dressing. It’s light, tangy, and shockingly filling. It’s also not like most salads with just a few strips of chicken. There is some serious protein present in these bad boys. Which is good. Because bulking season is right around the corner. Rock on!

Great salads but the lines are excessively long sometimes. The salad makers do their best to go fast but beware of peak lunch hours. Also, dont be surprised if you end up spending close to $ 20 for lunch…

When I want to get something healthy for lunch, I generally hit up Mixt Greens. Although there was a period where I didn’t come because they had next to no meat options for some reason. Right now, there is no fish which is a bummer because I really like their ahi tuna. My only other gripe about their food is that fairly often they don’t have certain toppings. That being said, I think the biggest bummer about this place is the line. I generally go around 11/11:15 so the line isn’t super long. However, if you don’t get here by 11:30, be prepared to wait a while or go elsewhere. Personally, this place isn’t that great that I would wait in a line that long. Plus it’s a bit pricey but that’s the case with everything in this area.

I usually really like mixt greens, but they’ve been skimping on the toppings as of late. Also, their new Thai citronette dressing tastes like anchovies… steer clear of it!

Parker Salad is the B-O-M-B! Haven’t had it for a while and happened to see their Mixt Rover Pop-Up so decided to order it for lunch. Boy, did it not disappoint! Chicken was grilled to perfection and juicy, super-tasty brussel sprouts, sweet potato, etc. I usually don’t write food reviews but really felt this deserved one. It’s a bit on the pricier side but I finally found my perfect salad!

Still thinking about the signature blend, Thai-inspired salad with peanuts, soba noodles, greens, bamboo and added marinated tofu(delicious) and cherry tomatoes. Ay, caramba was that delicious or what? This is one of those sexy salad joints that fills with young professionals trying to «eat healthy» during their lunch break. The kind who find themselves splurging on a gingersnap cookie right before they check out(not speaking from personal experience or anything… all I can say is: go for the gingersnap). Mixt offers around 10 preset salad recipes as well as a long bar of fixings like chickpeas, roasted red peppers, sprouts, beets, squash, pepitas and so on. If you opt for the build-your-own salad option, don’t be surprised if it costs you an arm and a leg at check out. Price-wise, you’re better off going for a signature blend and building off of that. There are handful of tables inside but most diners take their food with them or opt for one of the tables on the patio.

Expensive salad? Yes, VERY! But it’s definitely a delicious salad! I only have it once in a while and it’s always a very tasty salad. I love ordering their Mixt Cobb salad WITHOUT blue cheese. Sorry, but I HATE blue cheese. Depending on the timing, the line might be horrendous! Staff are all pretty nice!

Only writing this review in an attempt to get a managers attention or somehow cause any sort of change at this place, even though I know that is highly unlikely. I am not here to complain about the long lines or the price. I understand the salads are expensive here… I know that going in, but what really pisses me off is how freaking skimpy they are with their ingredients. The salads are ALL lettuce. Which then leads me to be pissed about the price…$ 11 for a salad with no meat and barely any other veggies than lettuce. It’s ludicrous. It also pisses me off that they run out of everything, by 12:30…everyday! This place really needs to work on inventory management. Stop being so cheap and buy more produce so you can actually satisfy your customers demands 30 minutes into the lunch rush. I do like their salads and don’t mind paying up for a healthy lunch(or taking the extra time), but the quality of the product and surly-ness of the employees there is particularly rage inducing for me so I try to avoid it at all costs, sadly :(

Mixt Greens next to my office = happy inner health freak! It’s clearly a popular lunch spot — sometimes the line is way out the door and snaking around the corner, but it goes by relatively quickly. The containers the salads are put in are deceiving — the salads are actually pretty large, which you would hope for considering you’re paying around $ 12-$ 15 for a salad. On the pricier side, but still one of my most frequented lunch spots! TIP: For people trying to keep track of your diet, Mixt Greens has an online calorie calculator that can be found here:

Very nice salad restaurant. A lot of people queue in front of the restaurant, meaning; this is a good place. Nice staff, good location!

Mixt Greens is my go to place for salads in the city. My one gripe with them is that every one of their locations is lunch only. That is unfortunate because sometimes I really get a craving for a healthy salad for dinner. The portions that Mixt Greens gives are huge. They completely stuff these huge plastic to go containers to the brim with generous portions of dressings and toppings. They are, in my opinion, very affordable for the amount served starting at $ 10. The best part though, is the customizability. I don’t know of any other salad place that has such a large variety of toppings, greens, dressings and meats. Overall, Mixt Greens offers the best custom salads around and I will continue to go there whenever I’m in the mood for one. For huge, made to order salads that can be as creative as you like, «I’m a fan.»

One of my favorite places to go when I’m looking for a *good* salad. $ 14 is pretty pricey for a to-go salad, but given how filling the salad is, the price is well justified. I would consider myself a big eater and the Bachelor’s salad(steak, grilled onions, mixed greens, arugula, blue cheese, grilled potatoes) that I ordered is easily enough for two meals. Despite the long line that I had to wait in today during my visit, the line goes fairly quickly and I was in and out in 15 minutes. I’ve only been to Mixt Greens a handful of times and have only gotten the menu salads, so I can’t say how good of value it is to put your own salad together. If you’re looking for a good salad, look no further. To everyone complaining about the price… nobody’s forcing you to eat at Mixt Greens. The price for the salads are prominently displayed so if it’s not something you want to pay, go somewhere else. It’s that simple.

I’m starving, even though I just finished a Maui salad from Mixt Greens. I think the ingredients would probably fill about an 8 oz. cup, and then rest was butter lettuce that wasn’t even torn apart — just in leaf size pieces, which makes it kind of hard to eat. Next time we’re having a lunch meeting and it’s catered by Mixt Greens I will bring my own food.

Mixed Greens is my go to lunch spot in San Francisco. It would be my go to lunch spot in Austin too, but no one has had the vision to open one of these downtown– yet. The selection of salad toppings is just amazing, and the dressings(there must be at least 12) are all fresh and made in-house. My favorite salad is the cowboy, with brussel sprouts. The blue cheese dressing is slightly spicy, but clearly blue cheese. My only complaint about MG is that the salad is not always consistent. There are occasions where the portion size is significantly smaller than my co-worker’s or there are end pieces(uneatable) throughout my salad. There have even been the very occasional funky brown lettuce pieces, which just get picked out. On one occasion I actually took the salad back, and they made me another one without any prompting. So if you’re going to be buying a $ 10+ salad, here is the place to do it. My absolute favorite thing about MG though is that they try to remain authentic to the product. The ceasar salad has actual anchovies, and not the cheap gross kind, but the more expensive white Spanish variety. They also have organic free-ranged chicken, steak, and even tuna. They have vegan options as well, and with the assortment of vegetables and dressings, even that vegan, gluten-free, no tofu friend will remain contented with the offerings.

I love the freshness and variety of the greens and ingredients, as well as how you can make your own salad and customize everything from the greens to the toppings to the dressing. I always make my own salad since I’m always in a mood for something different. The line gets really long during lunch hours so be prepared to wait in line for some time to get your food! Also, I do find it slightly on the pricey side for a lunch salad, although the portions are decently large to fill you up!
