Came here at 9:55 and they were closed. I pointed to my watch and said it wasn’t 10pm yet. She said 5 minutes as if that made it better. Lazy.

Laxmi always get my sandwich right. Other day I order pickup and I thought it was missing cheese when I started eating it. I called ‘em up and Laxmi was sure she put it and after double checking I found the cheese in the sandwich it was melted since my sandwich was hot. Thank you guys, fast service with smile.

Their service is terrible. I went there for my lunch today, ordered a 6inch sanwich with avocado. so there is .75 dollars more. However, they only give you a little bit of avocado, not even ¼ of one avocado! I ask them to put more, they said thenyou need to pay double! I will never go to this place agian

There are four or five other Subways within a half mile radius. I’ve tried them all and this is by far the worse because they are super stingy on the veggies. Am convinced the owner or manager has specifically instructed the staff to be ungenerous and miserly with the veggies. Come on, this is Subway after all. Ask for extra bell peppers, they may give you one more strand, like they did with me. Not a one-off incident. Has occurred on many occasions throughout the day, which is why I am writing a review about Subway, a fast-food joint that is meant to be consistent across locations. Be more generous with the veggies, please!

OK, so it’s Subway, right? It’s not fancy or anything, so I keep my expectations somewhere in the middle. The ladies that work during the day keep themselves really busy, and they mean business. One of the ladies kind of annoys me because I always have to repeat myself, but it’s not that big of a deal. They are doing their best! So shame on the customer today that was giving one of the girls behind the counter such a hard time. The poor Subway worker had to repeat herself over and over, and then had to answer obvious questions, when all this customer had to do was look up at the damn menu. So the customer starts being mean, I call her ass out, and then she starts calling me homophobic names. Girl, this is SUBWAY. CALM. DOWN. MARY. I thanked the ladies behind the counter, because I’m sure they deal with Financial District snobs every single day. Anyway, don’t forget to be nice to your sandwich maker! They literally touch your food. If I had to make the sandwich of a rude customer, so help their god.

We are not a fan of this Subway. Most of the staff seem to be poorly trained and many also seem to have limited English proficiency. One afternoon they mixed our orders up with another customer and then the next day they tried to charge us too much for our order. They were stingy with the amount of meat and garnishes they put on the sandwiches. If you must eat at Subway, do yourself a favor and walk two blocks over to the Subway at Kearny and Clay.

I hate this Subway. Subways is a chain and each one has its own unique character based on ownership. I know this because I worked there as a teen and I frequent numerous Subways throughout town and always ask who owns them. This one is owned by some cheap, money driven twat. She isn’t friendly and in the mornings often sits at the register reviewing receipts and asking the one other employee working there questions. Keep in mind that there may be 3 or 4 of us waiting to order. She doesn’t even seem to notice that maybe she should wash her hands, put on some gloves and ask one of us what kind of bread we want. You can tell she’s never made a sandwich in her life. All she cares about is the money coming in which is fine. But do it after hours, not in the middle of a busy morning. You can also tell by the amount of condiments/veggies the employees put on the sandwiches that she harps on them to go light with the helpings. The bread is often stale in the morning. Forget it. I hate this subway. I refuse to go back anymore. I vow to walk to the extra two blocks and go to the friendly, non-cheap one at Kearny and Clay.

The description of the meaning of the stars in the rating system leaves something to be desired. «Yay! I’m a fan.» doesn’t quite encapsulate the feelings I had about the sandwich I just ate. I wasn’t moved to tears but it was certainly everything that I wanted in a sandwich and more. Yet I think that we can all agree that«Woohoo! As good as it gets!» is a bit of an overreach, surely we cannot know just how good it can get. To say otherwise would be hubris. Sandwich hubris, being the 8th sin. I had the 9 Grain Honey Oat bread foot long in the style of the Subway Club. The staff was congenial but without breaking the bounds of professionalism in the customer/sandwich artist relationship. Also it’s important to note that my artist took little artistic license with his interpretation of my order, the final product very much resembling just what one would imagine a Subway Club should look like. Veggies were fresh and in no short supply and I can’t say that I at all regret getting the extra cheese added on, although I turned down the rust proofing. All in all, most likely the best sandwich I’ll have all day.

THISISTHEWORSTSUBWAYEVER! I’m a long time Subway lover but this is avoidable whenever possible Pros: Clean Cons: Horrible rude service all four tmies I’ve gone and EVERYSINGLETIME my order was horribly messed up as well! You have to repeate it 2 or 3 times and they still can’t get it right! Walk up two blocks to the Subway near Portsmouth Square and enjoy a nice lunch there instead.

I know it’s a fast food joint, so I’m not expecting quality akin to that of, say, One Market, but it sure would be nice if the staff here could get beyond blank stares, pointing, and the occasional guttural noise while trying to figure out what you want on your sandwich. I know you hate your jobs, but can you attempt to fake your way through it and try… just try… to even paste a half-smile on your faces? It might help a little.

So there isn’t a $ 5 foot long? I don’t understand these regional denials of specials! My subway sandwich was almost really good as is always the case. It was filling and everything tasted right. The staff was overworked but friendly.

There are some times when you just need to fuel up quickly and go. Subway is a good option for times like that. This particular location was OK. The guys who work here seemed like they barely spoke English but were able to get the job done. The meatball is my go-to sandwich and hit the spot.

My love still goes out to the Subway on Kearny Street. At one point, I remembered the menu(specials) religiously. Now, I’ve seen greater light at the food tunnel. However, this place functions so 3 stars! Food: I am a bit fan of the $ 5 footlongs. I love the chicken and vegetarian ones(okay, truthfully, it’s because I cannot eat the other selections with beef or pork). For $ 5, my friend Subway feeds me for lunch, afternoon snack, and sometimes even dinner. Customer Service: This place can improve on this one. They didn’t seem all that cheerful when I asked them about the Subway points even though they had a sign that clearly stated they gave points for a subway purchase. Other than that, service is rather fast and not bad at all though it slips when there’s a crowd around lunch hour. Ambiance: It’s a take it to go type place and there is not a lot of space to sit down and eat. I suppose you can, but I’ve never tried. Transit: Near public transit lines MUNI1, 10, and 12. Payment: Accepts all major credit cards(AMEX, VISA, Discover). Tip: Remember tomorrow is Free Breakfast in San Francisco Subways until 10am!

I will always remember taking a late lunch and walking into this specific Subway and hearing techno beats. It is funny but if you come to this location often(which I did while contracting a building away) it comes as no suprise. This place is different than any other Subway — mainly because the employees smile, laugh at each other and sometimes the angry lunch crowd that comes in and even once in a while at themselves. Such a great vibe in here! Not to mention they make great Subway sandwiches! They are not skimpy and like I said above made with a smile. I would walk blocks to have a great interaction like this. Check them out… seriously I am thinking of writing a screenplay about this crew… such characters! :)
