The winners are amazing! They will cater to your specific preference. BILLYISTHEBEST! If you have a choice of server, make sure it’s Billy.

I absolutely adore this winery. Their wine club is the best one that I have ever joined. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable(shout out to Billy and Matthew, my favorites!) and the wine club events are a blast. Wine members get a free charcuterie and cheese plate when picking up wine shipments. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed that! The free tastings don’t hurt either. The wines are very, very good and the ambience is incredible!

My husband and I took a Grapeline Tour for Valentine’s Day weekend. This was by far our favorite winery. Billy is wonderful!!! I would return to this winery over and over just to see him again. The wines also were so great! This is a must visit winery and we completely enjoyed it.

I’d like to defend this winery and its staff against the disgruntled(and most likely unrealistic) comments from LA visitors that come up to our county and expect the pace of life to be the same as theirs. I have nothing against LA I go there once a month and enjoy the pace and many things the city has to offer but Santa Barbara County is not LA. They are two very different«vibes». When you all come up this way why don’t you just relax(meditate a bit if you have to) soak in the lovely scenery and surroundings and enjoy your getaway and leave the hectic LA life behind. That’s the purpose of a getaway is it not? I’ve been frequenting this winery for many years. It is one of the finest there is in the county and though the santa ynez valley is laid back(which many people love, by the way), don’t be fooled. They are a first class business and they know what they’re doing. But unfortunately for some people that want everything to go their way that also means they have to abide by their rules of operation which they may not always agree with, and sometimes you get these negative reviews. So take all of that with a grain of salt. BRAVO Roblar :)

My husband and I came here via grapeline wine tour, this was our last stop and the BEST one of the day! Billy was our host, I can only say WOW! We have been doing wine tasting for almost 10 years and billy is by far is the best host to service us! There’s no doubt we will be back here.

Responding to Roblar’s comment for my original review. What a rude response from Roblar. Unilocalers, please take note of the arrogant position taken from management. You apologize then proceed to justify the actions of your staff and reverse the responsibility onto us like we’re at fault. Wow! The group welcomed us and offered to let us join their party. We declined and opted to request for our own pour, which is when your staff mistreated my girlfriend. Sorry for visiting Roblar and giving you business, I guess. We won’t make mistake again. Obviously courtesy isn’t high on Roblar’s priorities. We visit central coast for wine tastings often, have 2 club memberships, and we’ve never been treated so poorly in any other vineyard. Your wine may be good, but great wine is plentiful throughout Central Coast(many just around the corner from you guys), and people choose their vineyards for the experience. With your arrogant, sour attitude, and rude staff, you ruin the experience.

Visited the winery in the past and enjoyed the experience. Love the grounds and the staff. Received an email on 11⁄9 about a «Fall harvest grab bag» and ordered a case to be delivered to our Thanksgiving destination in NY. Just received the shipping confirmation stating it will be delivered on the day after Thanksgiving because Roblar sat on it for 10 freakin days! Not happy…

We originally visited Roblar as a site visit for our reception. We were getting married in a Catholic Church in Santa Barbara so it didn’t quite workout to host the reception there but we all fell in love with the property, the amazing staff, the gorgeous food and of course the wine. We ended up hosting a ‘inner circle’ dinner at Roblar with 30 of our friends and our parents during our wedding weekend. We couldn’t have picked a better place to make our friends and parents feel special. A little background — we live out of the country with a 15 hour time difference, chose Santa Barbara as neutral territory as we’re from the US but none of us are from the area and we are a very detail oriented couple who have a background in events therefore we have very high expectations. I can’t say enough about the lengths Laurence, Billy and their team went through to make the event a success. They were so easy to work with(even from 15 time zones away!) We stepped back and trusted them to do what they were good at and they did not disappoint. Our guests were wowed by the beauty of the setting, the table, the food, the wine and of course enjoyed the time together. Definitely add Roblar to your list for any event!

I just keep coming back to this place — even when I have visitors in town who have been before they want to go back. The staff are so incredibly friendly… especially Billy! He’s so great and welcoming! They have a good variety of wines that are solid all around. The atmosphere is fun and relaxing, with great outdoor patio space. The prices are so reasonable and they have their own food, which is incredibly delicious(so you can’t bring your own to picnic — which is a bit of a bummer). Was just up at Roblar last week and did a tasting with my parents. There were three of us and the woman pouring for us said we should try one of each tasting menu and then she poured us a few wines not on the menu — great! We ended up sampling quite a few wines by sharing and had an awesome time. She knew a lot about each wine and talked us through what we were drinking and how it would differ from other things we had tried. Pet peeve: when wine tasting and the person pouring simply gives you wine and walks away without any explanation! Come on people this is wine country! Well, fear not, this is not the case at Roblar. I will keep coming back here and recommending it to friends — was a member for a while but it was tough making it up to SY to take advantage of the many wine club benefits. Although there are times when I feel as though I’m starting to rethink that decision… :) Great job Roblar — thanks!

Mixed feelings about this place, mostly because our service experience was not great. The indoor space had high ceilings and felt very open with a good amount of seating options. My absolute favorite was the sparkling rose. I saw there were some tasty looking food options but didn’t try any. This place has so much more potential if service was better. Instead it was cold and unwelcoming. Also the bathroom only has two stalls for a big place like this.

You most certainly need to come wine tasting at Roblar in Santa Ynez! Besides the variety of delicious vino choices, the property grounds & winery are fantastic! If you are planning a group wine tasting trip — Please schedule a special tasting presentation with BILLY. Besides his detailed knowledge of the creating of GREAT wine– he is the best entertainment ever. I am pretty sure you will have as much fun as we did. Cheers!

A solid option in the valley and one of the few places that has a sparkling option. So, why the few stars? It seemed like we were in the way the whole time, even though there was only one other couple tasting(and a group being taken care of by a different server.) The other couple was making some purchases, so we understood the wait, but the glares and the heavy sighs when the server noticed we needed the next taste were slightly off putting. I will say that he gave us an extra pour since we ordered one of the Signature and one of the Regular tastings, and there were an uneven amount for splitting. The port was super delicious. The property itself was gorgeous and they had a nice selection of snacks and/or wine related items for those that felt like shopping. I believe they have a kitchen on the weekends, but we were there during the week so I can’t comment on it.

An amazing experience ! Went here for the first time with a friend and we were impressed. We weren’t planning on going here but drove by and thought we’d give it a shot . The inside is beautiful and the outside has a nice seating area and great view of it’s vineyards. Also saw a few people with their dogs so they are pet friendly. We did the regular wine tasting which was $ 10 per person and got a cheese plater for $ 25. It was so good! Our coordinator was a very nice but funny gentleman. I will definitely be coming back soon.

This review is for the amazing service we received on our recent wine trip! We were in a tour of 20 and this was our first stop.(It was also my bachelorette party weekend). The man that was pouring our tastes gave some amazing and very funny descriptions of the wines and was overall entertaining and informative. Well done! The wines were interesting as well, and it was wonderful to try different barreling etc. variations on the same varietal of wine to see how they taste different. And the wine room was gorgeous and so were the grounds! We took a ton of pictures and really enjoyed the experience as a whole! I’ll be coming back for sure!

This place rocks!!! How many wineries actually serve food and have the servers go to your table outside to pour the sample wines? The food is pizza and sliders and cheese plate but it is all good!!! Rivals restaurant quality. The kicker though besides the great wine is it is KID friendly. They welcome kids and dogs. My kid and my friends kids were running around and even with their scooters. Not a word and they sure we’re not quiet. The outdoor band rocks with some great classic cover tunes and they don’t play too loud. Enough to hear and talk. The servers are amazing but realize this is a winery. Sometimes we forgot with the server Matthew attending to our needs he didn’t need to do all that he did considering we were outside. Again with families with small kids this place rocks!!!

This place is not only beautiful but also has some great wine selections! This was our first stop on our wine tour(wine Canyon tours is great BTW). Robin was helping us out with our tasting. Very knowledgeable and friendly and she gave us some great wine tastes. We ended up purchasing 2 bottles of their wine. They also had some great selections of olive tapenade and other olive products. A little pricey but all of them looked great I would highly recommend making this one of your stops on your route through the wine country. It’s absolutely beautiful and great tasting!

After a whirlwind tour of wineries that started at 10:30 that morning, when we arrived at Roblar, we were ready to sit down and take a break. We had previously purchased a Groupon for the sensory wine tasting for 2, but quickly began to panic when we had no cell phone signal in order to open the app. The staff were kind enough to let me use their computer in order to print out my coupon. I felt special that I got to stand behind the counter. I even got to chat with Guillermo, the chef who would be preparing the food for our tasting. The food all paired very well with each wine. It was one of the highlights of our trip. The tasting room is absolutely beautiful and the staff extremely friendly and professional. I wanted to take home a bottle of their Late Harvest Viognier and was very sad to find that they were sold out.

GORGEOUS360DEGREEWINETASTINGBAR! I really love the wrap around bar that is at the center of the tasting room. It’s so grand and beautiful. The tasting room is constructed with stunning wood and big windows that let natural light in. We tried their classic sampler and I was impressed with the different wines(although I don’t know much about wine to begin with). Everything we tasted was good in my books, and I had a nice toasty buzz before heading on out vineyard tour. Our tour guide was really charming and friendly. He gave us some background on the owners of the Roblar Winery, how wine is made, insight on the native trees and plants, as well as some history lessons on the different types of wine. It was a really fun and beautiful tour. I absolutely loved the outdoor space with the beautiful landscaping. Their courtyard is great for outdoor events, and if you’re a member you have the luxury of using their event space and staff free of charge – You just pay for the food and wine. HOWDOPEISTHAT.
