Fast food café on the Casino floor has fairly priced pre-made goods, ready to consume. We were pleased with a chicken wrap. See photographs for available items. Counter service was fast and efficient, with a wall menu. We purchased these goods to enjoy during our bingo session.

As of late this is the only sit down restaurant at the Chumash resort. Unfortunately you have to wait a ridiculously long time for your food. We walked in at 10:15 on a Sunday morning with a less than half filled restaurant, and ordered our food at 10:20. An omelet and Belgian waffle took 25 minutes to reach the table. This is third time over the past year we have experienced this issue. The waitress came up to us around 10:35 to ask us if we needed anything, and we said, «our food» and her response was it was coming up. That wasn’t the case they they need to fix the management of this place!

Always skeptical about anything in this casino,(see prior casino review from two years ago, the last time I stepped foot on the property) but was surprised at the café! Had breakfast: I had an omelette with so much cheese it was of pure utter deliciousness. Bonus: the waitress brought my favorite condiment to go on my omelette, srichia sauce. My toast was rather stale though. BF had a basic sausage and egg breakfast he said tasted just fine. Service was decent and it was economically priced for the amount of food we got.

If I could give this café a minus one star, I would as it deserves it. We tried this café again as management said they were making changes to the menu(we noted there was a different menu, but the food is still the unacceptable food like before). We went there last week and it is still worse than bad. We thought we’d be cautious and order dishes that would be a «no brainer» — like oatmeal(husband’s oatmeal came in a warmed bowl but cold oatmeal) and I had the traditional breakfast with ham /eggs /hash browns(only thing that was OK was the ham, but didn’t taste like it was fresh). WHOA, if G.G., 5÷24÷2015 rating gave it 4 stars and says it is better than an average Dennys, Dennys must be REAL bad. I would think the Chumash management would want to feed their gamblers good food so they will come back. These raters who are giving them more stars need their taste buds checked.

The food here is pretty decent. Better than your average Dennys. The portions are a good size and servers are generally nice. Just be prepared to wait for your food as this is not a fast food type of place like some folks here are thinking.

Well, I’ve been here for over an hour sitting at the counter with an empty coffee cup. I’m not talking some high end café drink… Just 6oz cup of coffee. Sigh

Mediocre food from a mediocre casino. Came here because my family and I hadn’t eaten a thing all day & we wanted something to hold us off until dinner. Service is friendly and the food is cheap. Unfortunately the food comes out looking 5x better than it tastes. I got their Cajun shrimp pasta & it was overly salty, plenty of shrimp which was nice but they were over cooked and tasted frozen, over sized chunks of onions everywhere ! Mom got the chicken pot pie which actually turned out to be pretty tasty, I regret not getting that. Dad got the turkey burger and said fries were way too salty & he could make a better turkey burger at home(mind you he’s a horrible cook lol). The food needs work but its edible and the portions are pretty big given the low prices. If you want something quick I guess this is the place to go but like I said in a review of the casino as a whole you’re better off leaving & trying one of the restaurants nearby.

The new menu at the café is excellent. I eat there several times a week since they greatly improved the food. Wonderful waffle here. The only thing I don’t like is the hot pepper sausage they started serving with breakfast this week. Since a great part of their customers are seniors, I am sure they will not be able to eat this sausage either. It was extremely hot and spicy. Excellent service and friendly servers also. Enjoy!

This café needs to get renovated and provide way better food because frozen food doesn’t cut it. The only reason this place gets any business is because it’s in a casino. The prices are low but thats the only thing going for this café.

Food was very good but the portion was huge that cut my appetite off a bit… lol…food was a bit greasy though. Compare with their neighbor’s buffet @ 23.95 per person which with supermarket could cuts quality food, this café only charge $ 9 for sandwich can easily feed up to two persons. Well, you know where were we ended up at.

Come early. They take forever to give you your order. :( We literally waited for 45 for our grub. Not only that, but the food gave me a stomach ache!!! Aaaaand they got my order wrong. Why did it expect any better? The only good thing is that we were able to use our Chumash points towards the food so it didn’t hurt our pockets too badly, but still. The wait is ridiculous!

Went here for New Year’s Eve and the place was super packed we waited in line for 30min. which is to be expected, our waiter was great and up beat he made suggestions for us so hubby tried their steak and hash brown, and i ordered my all time fave clam chowder soup, they use jars for drinks which is unique for me and i kinna like it :-) . We only waited for a couple of minutes when our order arrived. I love their clam chowder and i think the portion is perfect. Hubby’s order tastes good too especially the hash brown. Even if it’s a holiday and the place was cramped, we didn’t felt rushed. The place is clean and well lighted, and i totally adore our waiter for the fast and fun service. Overall, awesome experience.

Not bad for a small casino café. Not on par with the Temecula/northern San Diego casino though. Food portions were very generous and the waitress was excellent(friendly, attentive) Went for lunch

I thoroughly enjoyed dining at the Chumash Café, inside the Chumash Casino in the darling and historic community in Santa Ynez Valley. I had the New York Steak, cooked to perfection at medium-rare and extremely well seasoned, just right for my taste buds. Loved the piping hot garlic mashed potatoes and white corn on the cob. Their chicken caesar salad was fresh with a very ample portion of chicken, and the dressing was absolutely delicious. The waitress was friendly and attentive, but always professional with a bright smile and great attitude. Upon our arrival we were warmly greeted and our send off was the same. We felt like VIPs! I would have given it a 5 star for more ambiance, and I would have liked to see a larger selection of beverages, especially fresh, all natural juices.

The Chumash café ExPress that sell Starbucks n ice cream n snacks… Go there!!! Because … Of … Friendly customer service. prices are great too! It’s Chumash café express but really friend service. It’s key since the«service» girls(who are supposed to give water or tea or coffee to gambles that sit play) are not as friendly n barely want to «service» you. Maybe because I look young n they judge me n they think that I don’t need«service»? But the Express Chumash café that sells Starbucks n gelato is very friendly n inviting. Go their if you want to be treated like a human;)

The Chumash burger was really good(huge, and covered with lots of mushrooms, grilled onions, bacon, and good old American cheese), as was the California omelette. The second late night we spent at the casino, we had the pizza with pepperoni — perfectly greasy and delicious at 1 a.m. Service was super sweet and friendly. Since it’s pretty much the only thing open past midnight in the Solvang/Chumash/Buelton area, we HAD to come here, but I was glad we did. I was also surprised at how empty it was since it’s the ONLY thing open.

24 Hour Breakfast! The first night I ever visited The Chumash Casino was coincidentally the first night I was ever legally allowed to(no, wait, I planned that…). Since my 18th birthday(nearly 5 years ago) I have become a «regular» at Chumash, sometimes purely for one of two reasons: Phil’s Clam Chowder or The Breakfast Burrito. Both found in The Chumash Café and both utterly delicious, I could eat either of them day or night! The breakfast burrito is a approx. 6 inch bacon(or ham), egg, cheese and potato burrito served with a small plate of fruit. Phil’s Clam Chowder(no idea who Phil is but I know he’s good at what he does) is a classic creamy clam chowder served with oyster crackers. It doesn’t look fancy but it is always so good. It’s become a little pricey since they raised their rates last year but the quality is worth it. Another nice thing is you can order it to go so if you are playing Bingo or staying in a hotel room, you can easily take it with you. The staff at the café is somewhat iffy. There are really nice employees and then some that seem a little standoffish. It’s about the same that you would expect in a 24 hour Vegas café. Saver Tip: Fountain Drinks are $ 2 in the café but free on the casino floor. If you get a free drink on the casino floor you can take it into the café and save a couple of dollars!

This review is for the sit down restaurant, not the food stand outside the restaurant. I have had good and bad food here. The service is great however! Some of the soups are good. I tried the clam chowder today. It’s pretty much like most other chowders I have had, but maybe a bit thicker. The sandwiches are pretty good. My BF had a southwestern salad. He really liked it, but I thought it was pretty gross. The spaghetti is pitiful, but the meatballs taste good. Considering your options if you are at the Casino, this place is not too bad. It has a coffee shop atmosphere. The other option is the buffet(we are not big on buffet food) or the sickingly high priced steak restaurant(there are many decent steak places in the surrounding cities). Other options are to drive down the street for fast food(yuck). This is a good option in the casino.
