Alan, the owner and repairman of Mission Appliance, came last year to fix a problem with our fridge(not keeping the food cold). The problem returned recently so I called him in again. He(apparently) identified the problem(correctly, this time?) and came today to fix it. My husband,(a low temperature) physics Professor at UCSB was home, and asked Alan to explain what needed fixing. Alan reluctantly agreed, but was not pleased to take the time. And then my husband could not understand Alan’s explanations, and asked for a bit of clarification. Alan became visibly annoyed, he said, «I can’t make you a repair man in 5 minutes. Look, I am here for a two hour job and I can either start it now, or *leave* and you can get someone else in here»! We asked him to leave, and Alan, who is built like a football player, physically intimidated me and my husband, putting his face 6 inches from my husbands in a «stand-off». It goes without saying that we will never, ever, use his services again. And I suggest you don’t either. We would give Mission Appliance zero stars, if Unilocal allowed it. One star is far too positive.
