We love this place. It’s been our go to Chinese restaurant since China Room closed. The food is great, not greasy. The service is fabulous. The owners are very nice. Take out is fast and simple. We wouldn’t go anywhere else! My son is allergic to egg yolks. This Chinese restaurant on Montgomery Boulevard in the Spring Lake shopping center has accommodated us now for the past two years with my sons allergy. They make the hot and sour soup without egg they make the combo rice without egg and pretty much any of the other dishes that do not contain meat without egg for us. Their meat is marinated in egg(which is common with most Chinese restaurants). I’m super sensitive to the skin of nightshades(latex allergy association; skins of tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, just to name a few but peppers/chilis and eggplant are the hardest on my system making me really sick). Chinese food contains lots of peppers and eggplant! Spring Lake Chinese has been wonderful about accommodating both of us with our allergies so we can safely eat the food!

Wonderful food & service. Fast, reasonably priced, our favorite Chinese Restaurant in Santa Rosa. Anna and her husband are the only staff. Atmosphere is very straightforward and clean. They remember what you like and always do their best to please. They work hard for their customers 7 days a week. I LOVE Spring Lake Chinese!

One of my favorite go to places for good Chinese food and good service. They offer good portion sizes as well. I love dining in or ordering to go. Haven’t had any dish on the menu that I didn’t like. I also appreciate the fact that the owner knows who I am and remembers every conversation we’ve had.

2 stars for the great service, unfortunately the food was just ok. There wasn’t much meat in the meat dishes. The cashew chicken really didn’t have much chicken or many cashews. The fried rice was very good. The chow fun was soggy and didn’t have much flavor. We probably won’t be back here.

Somewhere between«Meh» and«A-OK.» There was nothing wrong with Spring Lake, I just think there are places that do it better — though probably not in Santa Rosa.

Not bad, but not great. I wish I had more to say, but it was so middle-of-the-road that there really isn’t…

The owner Anna is a nice lady, but I have gone here several times and now NOMORE. I stopped going in person because the whole atmosphere of the dining room is so depressingly bland nothing. My last take out was my last for sure. I ordered Chow fun and almond chicken. The chow fun was burnt black. The smell of burnt noodles was so bad, I just threw it out. The almond chicken was mostly thick gooey gravy. The almonds were stale tasting. This is NOT Chinese food at all.

I have been meaning to write a review for a few years now! My boyfriend and I have been coming here for four years! We decided to try it as one of our first dates and he absolutely loves their sweet and sour soup while I on the other hand enjoy their orange chicken ad of course the chow mein. Him and I have agreed that its the best we have ever had when it comes to the orange chicken! And it comes in large portions every time! Can’t wait till we go back!

My favorite Chinese restaurant in Santa Rosa, period. I have had mediocre experiences at many other places but this place always impresses. The staff is very friendly and very accommodating to vegan and vegetarian diets. Every time I go in they remember who I am and ask about family members who may not be present. The food is fantastic and it is reasonably priced as well. When I used to eat meat the lemon chicken was to die for, but I cannot comment on the quality of other meat dishes that some users seem to complain about frequently. I personally have enjoyed every meal I’ve had here. Highly recommend.

The first time I went to the restaurant they were close to closing time and wouldn’t let us eat in the restaurant, but would let us take food to-go. I think most restaurants would just let you dine in if you arrived before closing time. The last time I went in the staff told me I’d have to wait 10 – 15 minutes because they were working on a big order. The restaurant had just TWO people sitting together and they already had their food. Geez. I just left and ate at Lepe’s up the street. I can’t help compare the experience to Ting Hau in downtown… where they have like 30 people in there during lunch and they serve you right away. And Ting Hau is smaller than Spring Lake Chinese.

If you want to eat some bomb Chinese food this is the spot. I highly recommend it. A nice and quiet local restaurant close by Howard Park.

How did I even begin to trash this dump?! This place looks like a ghetto, seriously the decorations inside and the no privacy makes it way too quaint. The woman/server seated me, I asked for a water with lemon, she returned with no ice and no lemon. I asked what tastes better the orange chicken or the sweet & sour, she replied in a rude manner«all Chinese food tastes the same in all resteraunts.) really rude. I ordered the orange chicken with rice, she told me that I needed to PAYUPFRONT before I get my meal! I said excuse me? Why do I have to pay up front when other patrons in the resteraunt didn’t have to do the same, this isn’t mcdonalds. She proceeded to say that various homeless people come from the park adjacent to this dump called Howarth Park & that homeless people dine and dash. On top of insulting me already, she added fuel to the fire for insinuating me as a homeless person! I was complete baffled so were various patrons in the resteraunt. One couple just left after she said that after being seated. She called me homeless as I had on $ 150 Jordan’s with a $ 100 Shirt. I proceeded to throw down over $ 1200 that I had in my wallet on the table say that I have more in my wallet then she makes in a month, said your resteraunt is disgusting and you are prejudiced people, especially in the dump you work in to be labeling anyone as homeless. Moral of the story, I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars next door at Colirbirs Grill, they lost out in thousands of dollars due to their stupidity and ignorance. I gladly walk by with my leftovers and say«you’re losing thousands of dollars due to your labeling the wrong person!» The joke is on them! Avoid this dump while you have the chance!

Living on the west side of town is the only excuse I have for the fact that we hadn’t been here before today. we were looking for somewhere to fulfill that great holiday tradition of the Christmas Day Chinese lunch. Came across this place on Unilocal since our beloved Huna was closed for the holiday, and ventured out to the east side. The lady was SO nice, and I loved that she made more conversation than your typical restaurant small-talk. We ordered won ton soup and barbecue pork bun appetizer to start with – the pork buns were nothing above/beyond what you’d expect from pork bun in general, which is to say that they were delicious, but I think $ 4+ for 2 pieces is kinda steep. The won ton soup was excellent, definitely can see that turning into my new usual workday lunch in the wintertime :] For our entrees we got the orange chicken [ridiculous good] and spicy hoisin pork [super tasty, not as spicy as I’d hoped but it definitely did the job]. We will absolutely be coming back, this place is a gem!
