I visited this establishment under relatively new ownership. PROS: Clean facility & friendly service CONS: The dish I ordered, a wet burrito, was very salty. Also the menu didn’t have many choices. The service was great, and if I wasnt passing through the area, I would probably give this place another try.

For the cost, freshness and service, this place is the best place to be in the vicinity. And we got to hang out on the porch with our pooch! And Pacifico on draught. Healthy portion of ceviche with perfect texture. Tacos with chicken and pineapple were a fantastic combo.

This is probably the best Mexican food I have ever eaten. This is a small place and one cook(when we were there). Good took a while but when it came it was amazing. Everything was made fresh and tasted very well.

I ate here while visiting Santa Rosa for a youth ice hockey tournament. I was skeptical because of the name. Good tacos and English names don’t usually go together. I had one al pastor and one carne asada taco. The al pastor was fabulous. It had chunks of pineapple on top. The asada was so so and very salty. Both tacos had a smokey chipotle sauce on top. I really liked the sauce. They serve beer, but it was too early in the day for that. The service was very good. There is a separate dining room for groups.

No salsa bar. Only two flavors. Four people share one tea cup size cup of vinegar tasting salsa. One hour to get food with six customers in the establishment. Tried three different tacos, all were small and bland. Tried the super burrito, small compared to many different burrito shops, not much meat or flavor, cut on a diagonal like a sandwich! and it was nine bucks! I came here because of all the positive reviews, I was very unimpressed. Won’t be returning.

I found this restaurant through Unilocal, and I’m so happy I did! The customer service was outstanding. The Mexican food is authentic, the pambazo tasted just like my mom’s(delicious). It took some time for the food to come out, but my friend and I were well taken care of during the wait. Thank you for the delightful experience Salsa Zone!

This place truly deserves a 5 star review ! The food was DELICIOUS but I was mostly impressed with the customer service. I didn’t catch her name but the blonde waitress was one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. You can tell she loves what she does and she truly cares about the customers and the business. I really appreciated how attentive she was… Refilling our chips and salsa without us even asking. I know that seems so simple but I work in customer service so I pay attention to the little things like that. She was so sweet i think I would have waited an hour for my food(just giving a scenario) and still been happy because she was so nice and the food was so delicious ! I asked who the owner was and found out she was the one who cooked our food. Such a treat! I will definitely be back. Loved this place ! They served FRESH hot delicious chips and all the food was AMAZING !

This place is a hidden gem. After trying a zillion spots I never thought I would find a place with as good of Al Pastor as my favorite food truck. Salsa zone’s is infinitely better! Staff was super friendly and quick… fantastic service. I’ve found my new spot!

A true diamond in the rough. We arrived with a group of 15(including a bunch of kids), no reservations, and were the only customers(except for a couple of take out orders). Only two people were working there, the woman behind the counter and the man in the kitchen, but they bent over backwards to take care of us. The food was prepared quickly and served as soon as it was ready … perfect for antsy kids. Now for the food … simply fantastic. I got Gina’s Enchiladas Michoacanas: a huge portion of delicious, yet delicate, flavors. My husband got the beef fajitas, which he liked better than those at our favorite local taqueria. The kids were thrilled with their burritos and quesadillas. Only problem was that we had filled up on the fantastic chips and salsa before the food came! Even though this place is hard to find, it is well worth seeking out. We will definitely be back.

So super yummy! You have to go try this place and bring your friends! The rice is amazing and the menu offers a more unique Mexican flare than the regular taqueria’s around Santa Rosa. We loved the Camerones a majo de ajo and tried the mole chicken but we prefer a spicier flare. The chips were made fresh in house and the staff was amazingly kind. We will definitely be return costumers.

My first visit, but word of mouth finally got me in the door. My family, along with numerous friends, have been here often and raved about the place. We came at the end of lunch service. When we arrived, we were the only ones in the restaurant. The restaurant was clean and service was excellent. Our waitress was very attentive the whole time(others did show up, so she had other customers to wait on). My daughter got the enchilada plate and I ordered a super burrito. We both really like our meals. Free salsa and chips with refills was nice. Same with free drink refills. The location is kind of off the beaten path, but easy to find(does that make any sense?). I’ll be back!

This might be my new favorite Mexican restaurant in Santa Rosa. As a Mexican who knows authentic Mexican food(and sick of eating tacos, burritos, and quesadillas) it was a pleasant surprise to find less common Mexican food that is authentic and delicious! The panbazo and the molé poblano was great! This place meets the definition of a «hidden gem». The prices are low, and the service was friendly. The place was clean and had beautiful décor. I loved the floor to ceiling glass walls that lets in a lot of natural light. The one thing I did not like was the green tortilla that felt a little undercooked.

I wanna love this place, I really do but my brother and dad both got sick so stay away from the al pastor! I guess it can be a hit or miss! When it comes to service, they were ridiculously slow when we ordered for pick up. Regardless I’m still gonna come for my guilty pleasures(aka quesadillas and the loaded papitas). Also another word of advice, be mindful the portions are humongous! The gordita was bigger than my head!

Salsa Zone is a cute restaurant tucked away in a small strip mall. There is a sign out on Russell Ave but it can easily be missed. The main thing is be sure to find it because the food is very good. We stopped in yesterday and enjoyed everything. The chips and salsa are a great start. Crispy chips and a tangy salsa were the best we’ve had in Sonoma County. Our entrees were the chicken enchiladas, three chicken enchiladas packed with chicken topped with cheese, crème fraîche and came with roasted potatoes and carrots. Other dish was the chicken fajitas which was a sizzling plate of chicken, peppers, onions and garlic. This came with very tasty rice and refried beans, not the bland stuff you often get. Both chicken dishes were excellent. We had a couple of cold modelo beers on tap which were perfect with the food. All the food is prepared from scratch, it may take a few minutes extra but is well worth it. We will be back soon to try more of the menu.

This restaurant has it all: amazing food good service low prices beer on tap = $ 3(Lagunitas!) cocktails = $ 4.5(Margaritas) clean and cheerful inside — and tables outside I had the 3 enchiladas plate — a regional dish that included potatoes and carrots cooked in a «regional» way.(I forgot the region) The enchiladas were carefully prepared — tasty moist chicken, topped with crumbles of Queso Fresco cheese and Crème fraîche served attractively on a large platter. It was delicious! All the ingredients were fresh and authentic. Lilly served us our food — was very helpful in giving us information about the food and the restaurant. They have been in business for a year now and continue to make small improvements as the business grows. Recently — tables for the outside. The food served here is Mexico City style — but some regional dishes also. Sofie and I liked Lilly a lot! This is a family owned restaurant where they are all back there working together as a team. What I liked was to see them laughing, talking and smiling as they worked. It felt good to be there! The restaurant had the atmosphere of a happy home and Lilly made us feel part of the home explaining the dishes. I told her how much I appreciated the attractive platters the food is served on. She laughed and said, «They are really expensive! I dropped one a while back(I wash dishes too) and my mother-in-law got pretty mad about it! We wanted the bright colors to make our food look good!» I also told her about the Unilocal review that the place was very clean — and she laughed again and said, «Yeah, my mother-in-law is always telling to keep things neat and clean out here!» I took a look back in the kitchen to see if I could see the mother-in-law — but everyone looked happy and friendly chattering away in Spanish so I couldn’t tell who was who — and I understand few words. I said, «You know, it makes me feel good to be in a place where everyone is so happy!» She laughed again and said, «Actually, they are arguing.» Then we both laughed. The restaurant is located near the Sonoma County Civil and Family Law Courthouse in the back of a small shopping area. It is not so easy to find — but it is worth the trouble! As we left the restaurant Sofie said, «You know Steve, I really like this place! We have to come back.» «We will!», I said.

Okay… gotta give them a 5 now! Today I had their Carne Asada Torta, Pastor Taco and my wife had their chicken enchiladas(Michoacano style). The food was excellent. The $ 6.95 torta was the best I have ever had. It was amazing. It had this awesome Mexican cheese which tasted like mozzarella, the meat was all freshly cooked and moist and the bread was crusty good. The $ 2 taco was fresh also, single corn tortilla, moist red pork and pineapple, red salsa and light amount of onions and cilantro. Service was again exceptional. THISPLACESHOULDBEPACKED! Don’t expect your food to come out immediately as they freshly prepare it and you can taste it! The only ding is that their to-go containers were Styrofoam :(

Service was spectacular and the food was awesome too. I ordered the Torta de Jamon but with carne asada instead of ham. The best Torta I’ve had in Sonoma county. I can’t wait to try additional menu items. It’s new and it’s good food and service. Give it a try.
