This place did not live up to its reputation. For the prices, I definitely expected better. Was it terrible? No, not at all, but there are better restaurants in the area. I ordered stir fried chow fun with veggies and tofu. Well, it supposedly contained tofu, but I barely found any, and the stuff that was there was cut in regrettably thin strips. Disappointing. The noodles themselves were tasty – thick-cut and coated in a savory brown sauce – but for $ 12, there weren’t enough of them. Not enough veggies either. My dining companion had a vegetarian coconut curry. It was bland when she’d asked for spicy, and I was told that many of the vegetables were under-cooked. I was appalled by the price – $ 15.50! This would have been slightly more justifiable had rice been included, but it was not. So be advised, you must order rice separately if you want it. On a positive note, service was prompt and attentive and the free edamame appetizer was unexpectedly enjoyable.

It’s not that often that I can go to an Asian Fusion restaurant and feel comfortable. I am not too much a fan of Chinese flavors in my food or the MSG or salt. Traveling can be a daunting task to find«REAL» Vegan Friendly restaurants in a small town. Usually you have to resort to Italian(if it’s really that), American fare or eat lots of salads or find a health food store and buy things that you can make yourself in your room, snack or get fruits and veggies and hope you have room in your hotel fridge to keep them fresh. After a long day of festivities in Guerneville, hiking the Armstrong Redwoods and then a quick trip over to Windsor Cali, I was tired. I just wanted a to find a place that could provide me a nice environment, good food and service. I found it in Goji Kitchen. After looking up and reading the reviews on Unilocal(some mixed and not fans) and finding most of them positive, I gave Goji K. a call. I spoke with a young lady by the name of Savannah. She assured me that they had some dishes that could cater to my Vegan diet. She also told me that they could create something that I would enjoy. When I got to Goji K. I walked in and found a clean, quaint and relaxing environment. It was not too busy, so I was seated right away and before I could get comfortable I was offered a glass of cool water and some edamame. My server, Erika, greeted me and was able to accommodate my request for Thai Iced Tea with Coconut milk. When Erika came back she made a few recommendations and I took her suggestion. I went with a curry noodle dish with steamed Tofu, carrots, onion, potatoes and noodles. Then I ordered the Vegan vegetable rolls for my appetizer. When it came it was more than I could eat and still have room for the curry, vegetable bowl. When that curry bowl came it was(to me) enough to feed 3 people. Both of my choices were perfect for me and I came away with plenty of left-overs to have for lunch the next day. The food was fresh, served with pride and accommodating attitude. The experience, for me, could not have been better. Then, near the end of the meal I met Savannah, who had taken my call earlier. She was delightful, friendly and asked me how I enjoyed my experience. I told her that is was just what I needed after a long day on my feet exploring the Northern California Wine Country, Sonoma County. Thank you to both the ladies for their hospitality and making my dining experience just as great as the rest of my day. When I come back to Wine Country and Santa Rosa, I’ll surly make time to Come back and eat at Goji Kitchen. TheMaverickExperience travel is all about finding the best places, and dining to enhance a travel experience. This was the perfect way to cap off the day. The only criticism is it’s a bit pricey, Thai iced tea should never be $ 4.00 dollars. A vegan meal for one, plus tip, was almost $ 40.00. Maybe when I compare the experience, food and service it was worth it. There is an old saying, «You get what you pay for.» Good food, service and environment has value too.

Being a foodie and home chef who eats all organic I am a very tough person to please when it comes to eating out. I absolutely love this restaurant! It is one of the few places you can go out to eat and actually get a healthy and delicious meal. They use organic ingredients and are always willing to accommodate special requests. I have not had one dish there I have not really enjoyed. Among my favorite dishes are the tofu bok choy, the phở, the lettuce wraps, any of the noodle dishes. Oh and their spring rolls for an appetizer are fabulous. Eventhough this is a 45 minute drive from where I live my husband and I are always willing to make a special trip to eat here when we can! I highly recommend.

This place has so much potential. It has a nice outside patio and friendly waitstaff. I’m writing this review based only on one dish, but it was not good. I got the curry chicken, and I could tell by the looks of it when it came out that it was going to be a let down. The curry was really bland, lacking any real flavor. The chicken pieces were really small and looked really processed. Add to that a high price(especially for lunch), and I’d say you can do much better. So please, Goji Kitchen, do better.

This is a very nice, clean spot. A little small but we’ll put together. The food here is absolutely incredible. Fresh tasting, so much flavor, organic, delish. My rating could easily be a 5 but the service is keeping it from a 5. Anywho, on with the food waiting. So this was my first visit here. I ordered my favorite Vietnamese bun dish. It came with thin rice noodles on top of a bed of shredded lettuce, topped with grilled pork, chicken and shrimp, crispy spring roll and some other veggies. This was probably the best bun dish I’ve tasted so far. Everything tastes so fresh and had so much flavor. The orange/oil/sauce that comes with the dish was to die for. Yum yum yum. I will definitely be back for more and try other things on their menu. About the service, they were not very attentive. Our empty water glasses remained empty for half of our visit. We had to wave someone down for a refill. Annoying if you ask me. And no silver wear or chop sticks, we had to wave someone down for that also. They were a very nice staff though just not attentive. Thank goodness they have great food or I probably wouldn’t go back.

My hubby and I are phở-aholics and on a dark and stormy night decided to try out Goji kitchen(TOGO). The broth was FANTASTIC, however I found the wontons to be mushy(can’t think of the right word, but they just weren’t right consistency). I will try them again perhaps to give them another chance, but I prefer the Simple Vietnam Express wonton phở.

3.5 stars. You walk in and you immediately get a sense that they know what they’re doing with their food. Very clean and nice restaurant lots of art on the walls. The food was good, I think my favorite was the vegetable fried rice and vegetable egg rolls. Our others plates were ok, nothing special. Kung Pau was a bit salty and walnut pineapple prawns were too sweet. With that being said, I would go back to try their Bun Nun

So let me first start by telling you that I get skeptical in smaller towns with«authentic» food or even fushion type places… But I’m seriously contemplating an excuse to head back up to NorCal just to have some more food off the menu… Why can’t we have a place like this in LA?! Not even down the freeway in SF will you find a better Vietnamese /Chinese restaurant… Also understand what you are getting, people… Non-GMO rice oil, wheat free options for your glutten free people out there, and tons I mean tons of vegetarian options for you omnivores… This is healthy, good for your heart and soul fresh non microwaved food… You get what you pay for… I opted for the yellow curry and wasn’t sure how I would feel about the squash, but it was a perfect blend and texture to go along with the rest of the curry… The Phở was amazing, in the words of OutKast — so fresh and so clean… Medium rare btw with the meat, don’t order beef jerky with your phở… Someone else on the group ordered the chow fun and it too was cooked to perfection… For those who order items to go, I can use common sense and safely suggest that the heat + moisture in the container will probably not go over so well in a to-go order, considering it is a rice noodle… But in house? Amazing… So if you want clean, healthy, fresh Asian cuisine and are in the area of Santa Rosa, I would take your rickshaw straight to Goji Kitchen… If you want msg laden microwaved Asian cuisine, head on over to Panda Express…

I was craving some sweet and sour chicken bad late one Saturday night… I looked up the menu and the location and it seemed like a nice fit. Alas I was slightly disappointed. I am not sure if it was because I got the food to go. I order some sweet sour chicken, lemongrass chicken, and mixed chow fun. The chow fun was really soft, so it was basically like mush, while the flavor was ok, the texture just a lot to be desired. The sweet n sour chicken was tasty but all the sauce was at the bottom of the container and the top was dry. As for the lemon chicken, that was was pretty good. When I went to pick up my food the hostess was pretty distracted almost to the point where she was kinda rude. It wast too busy so it seems kinda odd. Lastly the portions were huge which was okay, but man did it vast a pretty penny… It might be a better experience if I actually ate there. Oh well.

ORGANICPHOBETTERTHANEASTSANJOSEOMG! I needed to emphasize that. I’m not even joking. Growing up in esj we would compare pho54 to tk as kids and then the competition started rolling in and I thought we were the place to eat til I tried organic Phở in Santa Frickin Rosa. Wow just wow. I also got Papaya salad with shrimp, a light appetizer with halves of shrimp laying on bomb papaya. Yes that’s good papaya ya papa! We got really nice servers, they give great hot tea. They serve Phở and they have nice restrooms we’re definitely not in Esj. This place is particularly gorgeous with fancy décor. My Unilocal pic #1000 belongs to the best bowl of Phở that I would roadtrip for yes baby I’m comin back for you!!! 5 Stars all the way

OK, first the good. The place looks great. Very classy and a good atmosphere. The food was delicious and we didn’t have to wait long. They messed up our order and were very quick about fixing it. Now the bad. While the food was good, it was pricy and the portion size was small. So in the end it wasn’t worth it. The mistake in our order was easily avoidable as we were very clear in what we wanted, but he simply forgot to write it down. Finally, their menu says that they don’t use MSG, but my wife and I both got sick later as if we had eaten MSG. Not sure if it was MSG or just oily food, but we will not be going back.

Great spot Good vibes Good atmosphere. They started us off with the edamame without us requesting it, thanks! They were prompt in asking us for our order. We ordered the thai iced tea(super good) and I got the veggie chow mein(they got the best in town). If u like it spicy, they got the siracha sauce on the table and a house spicy paste sauce upon request. My cousin had the veggie chow fun, she said was super delicious. The staff was nice & friendly. After the meal they came with the fortune cookie and an orange carefully peeled with a toothpick on top. Really nice. Also, side note, an older gentleman’s birthday, they brought a delicious looking cake with a candle on top and seemed to make their day! Nice people who seem to take pride in their work. They have a wide selection of foods if u don’t like noodles. Friends tell me they like their phö soup as well

I’ve been here a few times over the past year for lunch as it’s not too far from work. I’ve enjoyed the outdoor seating when the weather is nice. The food here can’t quite be classified as one category – there are many Vietnamese and Chinese dishes – sometimes with an interesting twist. The menu is pretty good sized so most people should be able to find something they like on the menu here. They are also pretty good about accommodating folks with different dietary needs. They even asked me whether fish sauce was OK when I ordered a vegetarian dish. I typically order the vegetarian egg roll bun which has a nice flavor and is made with quality, fresh ingredients. I like that they have Thai ice tea on the menu too as it’s one of my favorite beverages.

In my opinion one of the best places for Chinese food in the area. Comparable to Kirin in Bennett Valley. Most of the Entrée’s are in the 18 — 25 dollar range so you’re definitely paying for it, but the food is very clean — not fatty, greasy, or gooey like a lot of Chinese food. This is a premier Chinese food experience. Everything we ordered was delicious and more importantly felt good after the experience as sometimes that’s not true with Chinese food. Also, the ambiance is considerably nicer than most Chinese restaurants — tablecloths and a pleasant interior. I highly recommend this to anyone that isn’t looking for a ‘cheap’ meal.

We had a chilly welcome for arriving at 9:10– their website said they close at 9:30– the restaurant had several tables still eating. The first server that approached our table was obviously put out, it made us feel guilty about deciding to eat there at that time, but we promised to be quick. The potstickers were a little too thick skinned, the wonton soup was bland, the shrimp spring rolls were nondescript… the highlight of the dinner was the basil chicken. The portion was generous and the sauce had a little kick to it. Overall an okay experience. I probably won’t be back.

I’m always terrified to eat Chinese food outside of San Francisco because it is prepared for westerners. I was happy with my meal last night though! It was all carefully prepared, fresh and tasty. Duck — expensive — $ 19 for half a duck — but very crispy skin and tasty. Cooked a little differently than Chinatown — but in the same manner. A bit more dry than Chinatown but less greasy than Chinatown. I think they flame it longer. Catfish clay pot — was the best! Lots of fish and mushrooms — the black mushrooms and field mushrooms. The menu said they were suppose to be shataiki mushrooms — but they didn’t look or taste like shataiki to me — but who cares? It was seasoned perfectly. A hint of hot. Rushkies with me thought it was«too spicy» — but they have a different palate than native Californians. Spring Rolls — I don’t like them usually because they are always made up once a week and heated up. Probably the case with these too — but they were good. Sweet and Sour Chicken — I don’t like this because most restaurants use old meat and cover it with the sauce. The chicken was fresh and the sauce was thoughtfully prepared — chunks of pineapple and a hint of cherry in the sauce. Rice — The rice was well prepared — fragrant and not too much water. Better than Chinatown! Beer — I drank a «33 Export» — which is a Vietnamese beer. I never had that one — but if I had it to do over again, I’d had drank the Racer5. The 33 is one of those watery beers — like Bud. Overall, I like Goji. They work hard to make the dining room nice — they serve the dishes thoughtfully and care about the food. The owner was seen walking around talking to people — so I can see that Goji is a special place. People there care about the food and the customers.

Our family and friends have been going here since they opened. The food is always perfect, the staff always kind and helpful. They use organic meat for their soups and other dishes. We often order something prepared a special way and they always make it perfect. We have had family gatherings here and always so happy with everything. Once in a while when not feeling well we might need chicken noodle soup. They have all white meat organic chicken noodle soup(Asian style but oh so delicious and just what the doctor ordered). We’ve had pretty much everything on the menu at one time or another. The food and service have always been consistent and we have been at least 30 times. The food is always fresh and delicious. There are lovely paintings of Vietnamese Women on the walls as well as other beautiful art and a tasteful fountain up front. We LOVE this place.

Goji Kitchen serves up a menu full of Asian dishes and many Asian-fusion entrees. With things like phở and seaweed fried rice, there’s plenty of stuff to appease everyone. While I am not a huge fan of the whole Asian-fusion food culture, it’s appropriate to point out that their food is very fresh and tastes even better. Goji also has plenty of options when it comes to no MSG, wheat-free or GMO– free. It’s nice to know that there is a «healthy» Asian restaurant in Santa Rosa for those who have dietary restrictions. Great customer service here too!
