This is a cool bar. The owner Bruce is a great guy. We usually go to karaōke on Thursday and the bartender Carrie is very friendly. The reason for only two stars is that the karaōke Dj Victoria is the most unprofessional in town. It’s not just that her equipment screws up regularly… It’s not only that she gets so drunk she can barely operate her faulty equipment… The main problem is that she can’t keep a proper karaōke rotation. Once you are in the system you are suppose to stay in the rotation. She takes you out after you sing and puts you back in when you come up and give her another song. That’s not normal but fine… You just have to keep a song on deck. The icing on the cake is that she puts people she doesn’t like at the end and then people she does like up before you… Even if they have already just sung. I have kept quiet about it for awhile but last night she pushed me over the edge. Multiple people came up twice while I sat and waited including some guy who was the worst karaōke singer I have ever heard. He would speak a few lyrics and then start screaming in the microphone. He had just done a terrible rendition of Jimmy Hendrix and then right after as I was giving her my next song. He walks up, interrupts, gives another song and say he wants to go next. I told her that wasn’t cool but she let him go anyway. So I go sit down and wait while several people sing twice. It’s almost my turn and then she comes up and tells me she is going to let the screamer go before me again and blames it on her faulty equipment… Which was makes no sense what so ever. I made a minor stink about it and she suddenly was able to que up my song. At that point we were done and just walked out. It’s shotty KJ’s like this that make it more fun to stay home and watch a movie. Bruce, I am sorry for the poor review but if you want your buisness to be top notch you might consider finding someone new. We won’t be coming back until that happens.

It was a Thursday so not quite weekend busy but just full enough, mostly 20-something’s but definitely not the plaid, beanie, facial hair set… Bartender was nice and attentive enough it seemed like a place to meet a couple friends after work or better yet a way-point out on a Friday night.

It was dirty and they charged me $ 40 when my receipt said $ 33, after I left a $ 10 bill for a tip!!! We’ll see if they credit me for the difference, if not, I will never return. The server was friendly, but crooked with her charges.

I ran into this fun establishment as a friend and I were bar hopping on a Thursday night. It was the sound of someone singing karaōke that drew our attention since it’s not every day you hear live karaōke being held at a local bar/lounge. Being a typical Asian myself from San Diego I’m accustomed to the karaōke spots where you hide away in a private booth. The last time I experienced a live karaōke experience was when I lived overseas. Anyways, enough about me… Epic Social Lounge was a refreshing experience. Like any bar the alcohol was fairly priced and the DJ, Justin I believe was his name, was a great moderator for the night. In my long experiences traveling the world drinking to the memories of life’s journey, there is one thing that has always made a great impression for me as far as a good bar/lounge, and that is the people. Granted it was karaōke night so it’s not like there were wall to wall people hanging out but for those who were there it was just enough to see people mingling with one another and enjoying the night. I have yet to visit this place on a weekend. Will probably do another review once I have done just that. Until then if you ever feel like singing your heart out on a Thursday night… Epic Social Lounge is the place to go.

Poorly named… Apparently they are enforcing a dress code– which is fine. I don’t think a dress code is a bad idea… however the caliber of the club with a code is usually better than this one. They let me in with my tee and cap, saying next time I’d need to be dressed up. Fine. I walk tot he bar and a bouncer(or whatever he was) grabs my arm and shouts, «If I have to tell you to take off your cap one more time, I’m throwing you out!» Really professionally, like that. I asked, «Is there a manager I can speak to?» His reply: No. I laughed and left. What a joke. Going to take a lot of convincing to button up for this place.

The use of «EPIC» has become so routine almost as if we need to replace it with«Legendary» or something better. The lounge is A-Ok

I just called twice. After about 7 – 8 rings someone picked up the phone and hung it right back up, both times. This isn’t an appealing 1st impression. I was going to bring 20 –30 people in which is why I was calling. Not anymore.

Unfortunately, now out of business. Leaving no place to dance in Sonoma County area. My wife and I go here when we have a night out. She likes to dance. The bartendress treats us well. People here are usually having fun. The owner Bruce is is well run. Even the bouncers are ok… are professional. We went once on A thursday and they had a fun trivia night. For the most part the people are cool, having fun and it’s a good time. Once in awhile the crowd gets sketch.

Not being much of a drinker, I usually don’t find bars much fun. This bar is definitely one of the exceptions. Not only does Epic have a loyal group of regulars who are all very fun and welcoming, but they have great themed nights that make each visit fun and different. I find myself stopping by quite often and having a great time. The music is great, the DJs are good at picking fun music and letting a song play long enough. I don’t like it when the DJ changes the song every 20 seconds. It just doesn’t give you enough time to get in a groove(let it simmer a little bit). The dance floor is small, but I actually like it, you get a better vibe when people are dancing closer, not to mention bigger floors seem to get the drunk people falling down all over the place or spilling their drinks. Just my two cents.

such a fun place to visit in downtown. The bartenders are fantastic at making drinks, the security guards are awesome at getting rid of obnoxious people, and the atmosphere is really great. Every time I go, it is always an awesome time.

Epically bland if you ask me. The concept is cool as is the long moonlit bar, but oh so contempo! Could we get a splash of novelty for the decorator, please? Faux white leather couches and glazed glass is badly passé. Although very clean, the lighting accentuates 80’s euro vogue chandeliers and awkwardly placed television screens. The drinks where well made, only after we had to explain a Sea Breeze to the bartender. And he even hooked up the cocktails after we noted they hardly tasted like liquor.(could it be true that bars still water down the bottles?!) The happy hour deals are A-OK but regular prices are too expensive for the scene. I give them a few more months based on the anemic club atmosphere they are trying to attract…

I didn’t know Santa Rosa had nightclubs?! I was surprisingly impressed. I had a great time here. The DJ on Saturday night was amazing! He played top 40s with a mix up of hip hop in between. It was fun watching people battle. It’s a small place, but very clean. Tiny dancefloor, couches to sit down in the back. People are nice & considerate too.

If you want to get forcibly kicked out of an establishment because a crazy young woman accosts and attacks you, come try this stupid place. I’ve never felt more insulted for merely being a male than when I was in this shit hole.(The woman literally attacked me, no joke. And I got kicked out.)

Alright this place has a lot to offer, such as live music, Karaōke, and DJ music. I’m going to take the time to tell you how happy I am that there is Karaōke downtown, finally! I really don’t like driving to the nutty or the former spot known as Rita’s for varies reasons. On that note this should be refreshing to the nightlife downtown. Onto happier times, like the happy hours for both well, beer, and house wine. These run from 3pm to 6pm and again at 10pm to 12am Sunday through Thursday. mmm food and drink specials… Epic has teamed up with Thai Time to serve up some yummy goodies. Actually got to try the sampler one day, falling in love with the shrimp chips, crispy tofu, and satay chicken. As a side note ya should check out Thai Time itself for lunch or dinner. Back to the drink specials, the phoenix rising is a great creation that has a kick to it. Whatever you do, do not challenge the bartender in its spice level cause they will add that extra punch to it that will make you cry«why me!». Hope to see some of you cool cats here ;D

I’ve been to this place about 3 times now. Given that it’s during their soft opening, I’d say they definitely have all their ducks in line. The first time I visited, all the bartenders came by to introduce themselves. Each of them had personality and genuinely had interest in their clientele. The second time I was there, they had a food menu. I had the EPIC Sampler and although it was catered from nearby, the food was hot and had great presentation. They even had shrimp crackers which is hard to find in Santa Rosa at any restaurant. The last time I was there, the bartenders were on their A game. They kept checking in on me to make sure my 2 girlfriends and myself were content. Happy Hour drinks were very affordable and they even had reverse happy hour, which is from 10−12pm I think. Our bartender, Dae-Dae(I think) was friendly and hospitable. I would recommend this place for after-work cocktails or after dinner drinks. I haven’t been to their DJ dance nights yet, but the owner informed me they are creating a weekly calendar. Karaōke on Tuesdays was the part that I latched on to the most because I LOVE karaōke!!!
