Really terrible service. Salad bar had nothing labeled, it was basically just, «good luck». The meats they brought out were ok but not everything advertised on the menu. Won’t be back.

We had dinner here tonight I just have to say the service was perfect the food was delicious. We were treated so well from the minute we got in to the minute we left. If you decide to go here have the parade of meats it was unreal! We will be going back for sure!

I came here Friday evening with my two children. Immediately upon entering, we were warmly greeted by a gentleman working behind the bar. He was so kind and accomodating, and treated us as if we were old friends. We were seated and served quickly, and shortly after, a fantastic live band started playing, and we were delighted to see so many people get up to dance. We ordered the sirloin steak, soup, salad, and polenta sticks, all of which was quality and delicious. The restaurant itself is lovely and inviting, with an intimate atmosphere. The most notable part of our experience remains the people. Everyone, literally everyone from the staff to their patrons were jovial and simply hell bent on having a wonderful evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our time, and dearly appreciated the outstanding hospitality. Muito obrigada!

I’m quite surprised about how good the food was at the Brazilian steakhouse! The service was great, they were constantly back to refill drinks. I was a little disappointed in the size of my Chardonnay. Nevertheless, it was delicious. I had several plates, their teriyaki wings, the garlic brined sirloin. Garlic chicken, it was all great! I haven’t had Brazilian in awhile & this place hit the spot! The Chardonnay paired great with the chicken, their jasmine rice with a little butter is to die for! I will definitely return! This place can be a little pricey, I’m hoping sooner than later they will have lunch and dinner specials. I am currently planning on going out with friends to do their«all you can eat» barbecue & salad bar! Am I the only one who is eating & somehow thinking of the Bridesmaids Brazilian food debacle? The aftermath in that wedding gallery… I loved the food here!

Dry and over cooked beef, the bacon around chicken was barely cooked, the salad bar was mediocre at best. Terrible service on a SLOW night for Christmas week 12⁄23. Plenty of staff roaming around, but we never saw them for drink refills or to clear the dirty dishes on our table towards the end of our meal. I cleared away some of the dishes myself to a vacant table, and they STILL didn’t clear our dishes. Employees were standing around talking rather than tending to the three tables that had customers sitting there. The owner was bragging about how great his restaurant is, and how he was going to raise the prices soon… My suggestion: try a different business! There are too many good restaurants here in Santa Rosa to spend $ 45+(without alcohol!) at yours!

«When are we coming back?!!» That was the first question our children asked when we got into our car after going to Brasa. Our experience was a phenomenal one, from beginning to end. Starting at the beginning.. . the manager, himself, seated us. Incredibly nice guy, very complimentary to our family and clearly passionate about his job. The salad bar is excellent: in particular, I appreciated the spicy rice dish(rice, beans, sausage), which I found very similar to Cajun cooking. The appetizers were tremendous(plantains, cheese bread, etc. Then, the meal! Skewer after skewer of fantastic food. Chicken, sausage, steak(done several ways!), pineapple, etc. The service was impeccable. Every minute someone was at our table, offering us another new item. In the end, regretfully, we had to put our hands up and say no! The price is VERY reasonable for what you get. Simply one of the best restaurants in Santa Rosa!

A group of friends and I went in for dinner on a Monday night at 8. It wasn’t to packed, and we were seated promptly for our 8 pm reservation. The inside is a bit rustic looking. I don’t know if places look like it in Brazil. Never been there. It was all our first time there. They had Monday night football on the tvs they have. I must say that the service was terrible. Our waiter seemed more interested in the game then our table. We had two menus to share between the 6 of us, and had to ask for more for our table. He had spent more time watching the game, then waiting on us. We sat for quite a while before he took our drink orders, and appetizer orders. A while later he appeared with our drinks, and appetizers. Then took our entrée orders. We ate the appetizers, and drank our drinks, and then sat there for a while. We sat for a bit after we were done, and waited on him to clear the table. He cleared the table and brought out our entrees. The food was ok, not great. Not once did he check on us to see how we were doing, or if we needed anything else. I sat there for a hour while we were dining with an empty drink. I have worked in professional kitchens for 20 years, and I’ve learned a thing or two about service in that time. The service here was bad. I don’t know if all the servers there are as bad as this guy was. Being in a service driven industry, I think service should be the primary focus. Not Monday night football. I mean it wasn’t even the Niners. With the experience I had here, and the food being mediocre, I won’t be going back. Maybe you’ll have a better experience here then we did. Cheers!

Had a fun time at Brasa with our toddler for our anniversary. The staff was accommodating, if not terribly organized. We enjoyed the«parade of meats», partly for the surprise factor and the novelty(though I understand this is pretty common in Brazil). Nothing was outstanding, and service was a bit slow, but in general the atmosphere was enjoyable and the food was good, though a bit pricey. Our carafe of caipirinha was not great from a cocktail perspective but was decent enough, and we were thrilled to have the option! Again, not a foodie or gourmet restaurant but a fun place to visit occasionally, especially with a few friends.

Wife and I came here a bit ago for dinner. We were promptly seated in their nice outdoor area… and then completely forgotten. After 10 minutes a bus boy was walking by us and noticed us sitting there and said, «Do you, like, a water or something?» «Yes Please» 5 Minutes later the water showed up; another 5 minutes and we still hadn’t seen our waiter(correction; we saw our waiter walk by a few times… and saw him hanging out chatting with other coworkers, but never SPOKE with him). As we got up and were walking out, the hostess called out saying that she could grab our waiter for us. No thank you. We won’t be back. And then we had some delicious sushi around the corner. Also spoke with some friends later that night; they had had a very similar experience at Brasa. The food might be good; but we’ll never find out because we couldn’t be past the lack of service.

The Feijoada is listed under«small plates» but it is actually a standard portion. It’s a large helping of rice, a small helping of collard greens, a pot of Feijoada and a mound of Farofa(toasted cassava flour). It is enough to share between two for a main entrée(or one very hungry person). I went with my mom and stepdad and we all shared that, the fish croquettes, the empanadas, two orders of pao de queijo(a cheesy-bread roll) and the garlic marinated sirloin. Pao de Queijo — I have never had these before so I cannot say whether they are good, bad or standard. I did not like them. They tasted really strange, not like cheese, honestly they had a sort of wet dog aroma going on to me, they were lukewarm, seemed like they had been sitting around a long time. I wouldn’t order them again. The fish croquettes were really great. They were crispy little balls rolled in corn meal, fried, and resting on a dollop of a tangy/creamy/herby sauce. Would definitely order those again. The empanadas were probably my favorite dish, they were coated in corn meal and fried like the croquettes were. They were upscale empanadas if I ever had one. THe filling was pork loin and cheese and they came with two«dipping sauces» as the menu read(their online menu doesn’t list this dish) I wish the menu would have told what the sauces were but they were awesome whatever they were! One was orange, it looked like sweet potato purée, it tasted like chipotle, it didn’t appear creamy but it kind of tasted rich and creamy. The other was an herbed creamy sauce, similar to the one with the fish croquettes. The garlic marinated sirloin was a plate of about 4 or 5 little medallions of sirloin that were quite tough and cooked medium well. The flavor was good but the dish was skimpy and I thought the meat was overcooked. It came with vinaigrette-dressed mixed greens topped with toasted slices almonds and about 4 yuca fries. The fries were cold and tough, they must have been fried earlier which seems like a strange thing to do. I wouldn’t order this dish again. The Feijoada was spicier than I have had it before. I really enjoyed it, it was a tad thicker than I have had it as well but it was silky, rich and authentic. The rice and farofa were standard but the underwhelming. I was tempted to order an extra side of them because I love Brazilian style collards but I am glad I didn’t. Brazilians chiffonade their collard greens(very thin strips) and they flash sauté them in garlic oil so they are bright, bitter and firm. If you like bitter greens you will love them cooked in this manner because it reserves all of the flavor and the wonderful hardiness of the green. I always say I feel like when you eat them in this manner they clean you right out! Sorry, that was inappropriate for a food review… Brasa’s greens were lacking flavor though. It seemed like they needed more garlic flavor(I think they use a garlic oil and not actual garlic in the dish, but my opinion is just throw some garlic in there! Otherwise your oil need to infuse longer and some salt.) Typical to the Sana Rosa, they have a wonderful wine menu, I had the Seghesio Zinfandel. The menu on their website is out of date, they have recently reduced the price of their«Rodizio» to $ 36 per person, from $ 40. This is the option where they bring the skewered meats to your table. To get the true churrascaria experience, this might be worth a shot. But since the meat dish we ordered was my least favorite, I think I would more likely enjoy the small plates more. I like all of my meat cooked rare, pork medium to medium rare and chicken cooked medium well and I feel like restaurant are so hesitant to do that, which I understand.

Nice spot… Meet the owner great personality. I came for the happy hour $ 3 beers, cocktails, and the food was priced at $ 5. On the happy hour. So I tried the wings and fries my friend tried the Mimi burger and the bacon wrapped chicken, a racer 5 but the bar tender passed me their Pineapple Express awesome drink. Very friendly host and they make you feel like you are with old friends. This place has cozy booth seats near the bar. I found this place to be a all around must try. Oh very important to me the place is very clean.

Two words: very disappointing Birthday getaway weekend for my fiancé. I made reservations two weeks in advance for a Thursday night with a note attached«celebrating my fiancé’s birthday.» We parked in a nearby garage. Walked into the restaurant at 640pm and they were not busy. That should’ve been the first sign. This is one of the restaurants where I should’ve took the reviews as a sign as well. We were seated in the back of the restaurant because there were two large parties in the front. We both opted for the Ridico(sp?). My fiancé ordered a blue moon which he received and I ordered a mint lemonade which never came until my fiancé reminded him. The mint lemonade was so disgusting. It was like drinking liquid toothpaste. We were only offered 6 cuts of meat at the most. I asked for medium well for the sirloin and other steaks but they kept giving me medium rare. Needless to say, I barely ate. We also were not given tongs in the beginning. This has to be the worst experience at a Brazilian Steakhouse. They didn’t even acknowledge that we were there to celebrate a birthday! Read the reviews. Skip this place. What a waste of money!

I go there often and yesterday I liked the new Spring menu. More variety of small bites will make Happy Hour an enjoyable time there in special on that amazing patio. Once again I could confirm the Picanha taste as the best I found in US. They got it and I know what I am talking about. I still am amazed when I see comments of people who call them selves«foodies» who don’t have any knowledge about food. My curiosity took me to check where they usually post comments and I laugh a lot. These people are jokes so that why they can’t be taken to seriously.

The review by Jonathan F says everything. I went in to try Brazilian food an was very excited and hopeful. Instead I overpaid and was very underwhelmed. I can understand why they didn’t have large pieces of meat as it will cook quickly, smaller pieces can be served hot and make it easier to serve table side. However, there is no reason it should be overcooked and NOT seasoned properly or not at all. The chimichurri was the meats saving grace. The buffet was run of the mill and uninspired. Not at all Brazilian. The hot dishes seemed to be an attempt to salvage left over meat pieces left on the skewers and had clearly been sitting for a while. I don’t mean to be harsh. Service was good and they had staff everywhere. There are huge flaws in execution and misrepresentation in calling it Brazilian barbecue. Unfortunately I can not see a reason to return.

Came for Sonoma County restaurant week and had a poor experience. Two hour dining experience with majority of time spent waiting through pained periods of none service. Waited through what they called a parade of meats and while the parade went on we watched most of the meats parade by only to find they were out by the time it came to our table. After having 4 of the 8 meats we paid for, we finally wore tired and asked to just be brought the dessert that was advertised. They claim they misadvertised– NODESSERT. Yikes! OK just bring our check it’s been 2 hrs and we are tired. It took nearly half an hour to get our check. They did comp us one glass of wine. It might have been a little more acceptable if there was some communication but there was none, just lots of waiting. Poor service, poor communication, poor excuses. The food was good, I will give them that.

Okay, not sure why so many bad reviews are listed below, because that sure wasn’t our experience! We enjoyed this restaurant’s happy hour and plan on going back again, and again, and again. First of all, for happy hour(4pm to 6pm) we ate out on the patio. With the salsa music playing, and the heaters turned on, it was very romantic and comfortable. We drank tequila sunrises which were so good, we were slurping them up. Of course, the fact that they were only $ 3 meant that we could afford to drink lots of them! I loved the happy hour salad($ 5 a bowl) that was seriously delicious. Very fresh, and tasty! I also loved the empanadas($ 5 for two). So much so, I ate two orders of them! Very crisp, flaky pastry, and a yummy pork filling that reminded me a little of chicken pot pie. I know that sounds weird, but it was truly delicious! I didn’t enjoy the sliders($ 5) as much, as I thought the meat was somewhat dry and needed more salt/more flavor. However others at our table liked them a lot. Also, we tried the chicken wrapped with bacon. It was very flavorful. Large chunks of chicken breast meat wrapped in bacon and then broiled. Yum. I plan on coming back and drinking way more Tequila Sunrises, salad, and empanadas. The restaurant has a very relaxed atmosphere, friendly service, and some absolutely great food at happy hour prices. The evening was three hours of total bliss on their fabulous patio. Next time I go to Brasa, I’ll try their rodizio service. Some of the customers raved about it, so I’ll definitely splurge on it next time. Bottom line? This restaurant excels at serving great food(and drinks) in enormous portions for very little money. Loved it!

Imagine in your mind the most amount of meat you could possibly consume if you were a ravenous wildebeest starved for weeks. Multiply that number by ten and that’s how much meat you’re going to eat at Brasa. Not only that, but you will have side dishes galore, and servings sizes large enough to stun a yak. I’ve been to Brasa twice, the return trip being much better than the first. The initial time was plagued with confusion and frustration because only two diners wanted the all you can eat meat tornado, and the other two wanted the chicken and salad entrees. On the return trip, I brought my family and my in-laws, and we had a very pleasant time. We started with drinks, I ordered the Suco, a tropical sweet martini, a little on the syrupy side, but well flavored. My brother had the tea lemonade, and my mom had the Cashew martini, which was odd but interesting. The in-laws had a glass of white and red, both local selections which they were very pleased with. Because we wanted to do the Rodizio($ 40/per person), we all had to order it, which was what we were planning on anyway. Appetizers were a mixed green salad or the garlic potato chicken soup, of which I think the creamy, flavorful soup won over the standard but not boring salad. For the side dishes, our favorites were the sautéed bananas, and the yucca, as well as the pao do quejo(tapioca cheese breads), which they brought on our first trip but curiously not the second trip. I thought the sautéed greens, rice, polenta sticks, and beans were on the boring side, but as a side dish they are only supporting players to the meats. Of the meats, I do have to say that their beef selections seem to shine much brighter than their other items. The New York strip and the Filet were perfectly cooked, medium rare, and well seasoned, as well as the Top Sirloin. Another surprise was the Parmesan Encrusted Pork Loin, moist, juicy, and interesting. I was not a huge fan of the sausage selections, and found the bacon wrapped chicken to be on the dry side. At the end of dinner, they brought out a grilled pineapple which was charred and sort of too burnt tasting to me, but others found it appetizing and a sweet way to finish the parade of sabers. We also ordered dessert, the trio of mousse was amazing, not to miss, and the flan/pudim selections were good but nothing to get too excited about. Come super hungry(to make the price worth your while), leave overly full, and intent on not looking at another cut of meat for days– weeks even. Somewhat pricey but definitely interesting, Brasa is one of its kind player on the Sonoma County dining circuit.
