The staff was very knowledgeable about specials and recommended specials to us. The Mahi Mahi Amondine was to die for, Fowl gumbo was delish, and the crème brûlée was the best I’ve ever had. I would absolutely recommend this place.

Just stopped for lunch and was in Heaven. I love seafood chowder and they have one of the best. Full of crab and crawfish and corn. Since it’s a NOLA influence the seasoning is full flavored but let’s that seafood shine. My husband wanted dessert and got a peanut butter pie. The bottom is dense dark fudge while the top is creamy but soft top. I expected whippet topping but it was full bodied and a nice strong peanut taste. You’ll need a cup of coffee for this one.

This is our fourth time at Stinkys fish camp in two weeks. Everything we have tried has been excellent. The catfish basket is my favorite . Service is super and the food is always hot.

I don’t get all the hype. Reading the many great reviews I could not wait to get to this restaurant. What a disappointment. On the plus side, the raw oysters on the half shell were fresh and flavorful. I ordered a dozen, they were very small, and to the restaurants credit, they gave me 17. However, at $ 15.95, that was the fair thing to do. My wife ordered the fried shrimp salad. Her salad consisted primarily of stems. The shrimp, no comparison to those we had the previous day at Hurricane Oyster Bar & Grill. I ordered the fish of the day, grouper, blackened. At $ 15.95, I was extremely disappointed. The fish was thin, about the size of the palm of my hand, and I do a better job blackening fish at home. The fries were lukewarm, and I had a small amount of salad stems as well. Our server was downright sullen, and the acoustics in this place were horrible. We were unable to have a normal conversation because of all the noise. Left hungry, which is always disappointing. Needless to say, we won’t be back.

Surprised how good the food was. Had the Shrimp Po-Boy. Shrimp were fresh out of the fryer, not greasy, and moist. Bun was crispy crust. French fries were perfect.

Nothing says«I must be in Florida» like a fantastic seafood restaurant, with friendly local staff, and a name that both repulses and strikes your curiosity. Lunch here was my favorite all week with my GrandBubba and Grams. Hush puppies were heavenly! Everything was cooked and prepared to perfection. Please come to Sacramento!

Just arrived from Atlanta! Remembered stinkys from a visit back a few years ago. Seated right away-crowds haven’t descended yet. Ordered drinks and a dozen raw. The oysters came quick and were flipping awesome! For the entrée I ordered the crab cakes and my gf the bbq shrimp. Both were superb, the service was great too. We ordered Key Lime Pie for desert.

New Orleans and the 30A made a restaurant love-child… That is Stinky’s. I had the taste of Stinky’s entrée. Crawfish pie was perfect. Catfish amazing. Crab cake was a little cold and above average but nothing to write home about. The house cocktail was great. Stink Juice. Basically a well done cream-sickle frozen drink. Music over the speakers was New Orleans based so thumbs up. Great spot.

It”s been a while since I ate here, but I recall a very delicious meal which I wanted to make sure to capture, just in case I head back: 2 Fat Tire beers(one of my favorites) Raw oysters(fresh and tasty) Shrimp Pesto(Main meal, filling a jumping with shrimp) Fish of the Day(other main meal, and recall it being fresh and delicious) Key Lime Pie(authentic and exploding with flavor)

Had dinner with my wife and another couple on Tuesday 10 November. We arrived just before 6PM and were seated immediately. The restaurant filled up soon after. I had the ‘full Stinky’ Stinky’s Fowl Gumbo and Stinky’s Stew. The gumbo was slightly spicy — and I like things spicy — but served a little on the less than hot side. The Stinky’s Stew includes shrimp, mussels, fish, oysters and snow crab legs with a small pressed crab Po Boy — all-in-all a treat not to be missed. The snow crab legs were particularlysweet and tasty. Others ordered the sautéed shrimp & grits, grilled grouper and seafood pasta. There were no complaints. We figured any place named Stinky’s has to be good — and we were right.

Best food on the gulf! Seriously, this may be the best restaurant I have ever been to. There is no need for us to go to any other restaurant on or around 30a. The wait is bad if you get there late. We do early dinners, so we didn’t have a problem. Stinkys Stew was so delicious and quite filling. You have to work a little bit for your food but it’s worth it. It comes with a crab sandwich that is just a bonus and great to dip into the soup. The crawfish pie is incredibly filling and incredibly flavorful. So much flavor!!! It was one of my favorite dishes at any restaurant. I would get the small or appetizer portion. Very filling!

This was by far the best meal we had while in the Destin Florida area. If you know in advance that you will have to wait & don’t go when you are starving you will be fine. We had a larger group of 8, which usually means the service is lacking, but not here ! It was very attentive and very responsive. Large food portions and the quality is top notch. Everything tasted so fresh ! Our entire group truly enjoyed themselves, the only issue is that my husband cannot eat seafood or spicy food, and the sauce over the fettucine had some heat to it, that was not expected. They have Valet parking and the place seems to stay very busy.

We’ve been here many times — I absolutely love Stinky’s and it’s one of my favorite restaurants while we vacation in Destin. Totally worth the tiny 25 minute drive into Santa Rosa. It’s fun, funky, service is always awesome, adorable gift shop and t-shirts and the food is out of this world fantastic. This time around, we got buffalo frog legs, ribeye, stinky’s stew(my husband’s fav), crab legs, fried shrimp, buffalo shrimp and crawfish pie(MY fav — seriously, it’s unbelievable delicious!) My advice — ditch the crappy restaurants on the beach and get to Stinky’s!

This was our least favorite restaurant of the trip. It wasn’t horrible, but it was not great. Lots of ex or off duty current employees filling the bar. Drinks were nice and stiff. Grits are Heavy Heavy Heavy on the Parmesan Cheese. Almost made the Shrimp and grits inedible. Everyone should eat the Crawfish Pie it was Excellent! It was so good, I wish I would have had it for my app and entrée. Raw Oysters were good and fresh. Signed Wide Spread Panic concert poster was cool, vibe was alright. Good music over the speakers.

Customer service wise, excellent! The owner came by more than once to check on our table. Super friendly staff. Food wise, they were big portions! Food was very good and prices were decent. They have fish of the day’s ranging from 20 – 30 a plate.

This place is so worth waiting 1 ½hrs to 2 hours to eat here! I check this place out online and give it a try here with my family. Food here is amazing!!! This is is small so get here early if you want to get a table. If you are hungry then your screwed! You’ll have to wait a while to even get a table, so don’t get angry if you have to wait! I did it and my family as well. Oh FYI there’s valet parking for you and it’s free. Drive straight in the restaurant and there will be someone there to park your car. We ordered a lot of foods that night and everything was good beside one dish! We ordered the Log oyster and that was amazing! There was 48grill oyster on the log. Each one has a different flavor and it was amazing!!! I guess if you want some raw oyster then just tell them to save a couple on the side for you. We ordered the stinky stew and OMGS this dish is worth the money! You have to order this dish! It amazing and so much flavor in this soup! This soup can feed 2 – 3 people. If your a big eating than maybe 2 or 1. There’s muscles, snow crabs, fresh grill corns and the corn is so good, sausage, red potatoes and other stuff as well. My family kill two bowl of the stew and this is something I would order again if I come back! Order my dad the Crawish pie, it had a crab cake, crawfish pie, and fries catfish. This dish was so good, mostly the crab cake. I think this is one of the best crab cake I had so far. Every bites there’s crabs in it and wasn’t too much bread in the cake like most place. This is must have dish! My mom order shrimps with pasta and this dish was t worth it! The noodles was over cook and it just wasn’t great! We regret ordering this dish! My little sister had the fettuccine alfredo and it was ok!

I would like to say that being miserably full is totally worth it! This place is phenomenal. My family usually each get the same thing every single time. Today I got the crawfish pie appetizer and the fried green tomatoes appetizer and let me just say, being from the south and having my mom and grandma who can cook amazing homemade southern cuisine, these fried green tomatoes compare closely to theirs. I could eat this every single meal. The crawfish pie is like a shepards pie with crawfish. I would just like to add, I tried to take pictures, but the smell and anticipation overtook us and we had to eat, every, single, bite. As my mom only says when the food is delicious«well we could have licked our plates but that would be rude.» This place is well worth the over an hour wait! A must try and I promise you won’t regret it!

We had lunch here during our week-long stay, and it was my favorite restaurant meal of the week. I had a salad topped with grilled swordfish, and it was excellent. The salad itself was huge and loaded with chunks of vegetables that made it really good on its own. The fish was cooked just right and very flavorful. I only wish there had been more fish to go with that huge salad. Even if you’re not trying to watch your vacation time caloric intake, order this salad anyway. Service was great, although the food was a little slow to come out. We were a group of 10 with the check split three ways, and they did a great job of keeping our drinks full and making sure that everyone had what they needed. My husband loved their roasted tomato tartar sauce, and they just keep bringing him little cups of it when he ran out. Stinky’s feels like a «regular» seaside restaurant. By that, I mean not gimmicky, not touristy, not hyped up so they can charge you more $ for less food. Definitely worth a visit.

Stinky’s Fish Camp is a seafood restaurant in the Destin area of Florida. It’s a popular place, and if you come early enough you may skip the wait and you’ll be rewarded with some amazing seafood. Oh, and order the«Log». It’s worth the wait and experience. My Overall Rating — 4 Stars(Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere — Stinky’s has a laid back atmosphere, as evident be its name. You’ll find plenty of likeminded seafood lovers, outdoor patio seating, and parry like atmosphere in their wooden building. There is additional seating upstairs, but be advised the do not take reservations so if you’re in a big party be sure you plan to come early. Also, it was valet only parking only on our weekday evening visit, so be sure you’re prepared for that as well. 1 Star. Service — Our service was good but not great. Many of our orders ended up at the wrong person’s spot, but to be fair we had a group and things may have gotten mixed up. Also, small things like drink refills never happened unless we asked, and our dirty appetizer plates kept stacking up without being cleared unless we asked them. They were friendly for sure, but again I think our big group may have been overwhelming. ½ Star. Food — If you haven’t seen photos of the Log online, go search for it. It’s an order of 36(6×6) oysters’ prepared different ways. You’ll get everything from fried, baked with parmesan, bacon, spinach, etc. Best shared amongst a group of 4 of more, you’ll get plenty of Ooohs & Ahhs when it’s brought out to your table on a wooden log. Keep in mind they’re all cooked, so if you want raw oysters you’ll have to put in a separate order. Another great option is the Taste of Stinky’s. You’ll get an excellent Crawfish Pie(like a chicken pot pie but much better with crawfish), their fried catfish with an excellent seafood sauce, and finally an above average crab cake. The stars here are the oysters and crawfish pie. Expect good sized portions but prices to match. 1 ½ Star. Will I Return? — Yes. I would come back for the Log or their raw oyster bar. Stinky’s has a great atmosphere, great seafood, and is a worthy destination for seafood lovers who are visiting the Destin area. 1 Star. My Unilocal Rating Scale(Sum of all parts): 1 Star — Atmosphere — Is it a cool dive? Perhaps an upscale place? No matter the type, atmosphere plays a big part and I’ll give a star if I like it or thinks it has great charm. 1 Star — Service — You can have a great meal with bad service. But that’s also what can make a five star joint drop to four. It’s important to the dining experience that service is great and on point. 2 Stars — Food — I’ll award up to two stars for the food, since this is the main reason we dine out. Sometimes the extra star is given for value, but it’s really all about the food. 1 Star — Will I come back? — If I know for a fact I’ll return, I’ll give this a star. A place has to make an impression for me to return. Each Category can be given up to 1 star except food(2 stars) because I consider all these categories important to the overall dining experience. I will sum them up to provide my final Unilocal score.
