Food is great and service was too; they have a new manager who has whipped the employees into shape.

Well. This is one that we’ll never visit again. The food was meh. Standard. Average. Definitely not spectacular for the prices. It came out room temp and not hot. The fries were soggy. Kids burger was a joke for $ 9 and the«smiley fries» were mush. $ 2.75 for a tiny 8oz coke — –what a joke. Charged $ 2 to add kraut to a sausage — it was like 2 tablespoons worth. We came. We saw. We ate. We won’t go back. Not impressed at all. Skip this place and hit the food trucks if you must eat in Seaside. You’ll have better luck and more options.

Breakfast was fast and tasty. Breakfast sandwich and home fries hit the spot. Staff was friendly. Only complaint was it was a little hot and there were biting flies around the table.

Skip it. Burgers are average but they get away with $ 14 price because of location and crowds. When a place charges you a buck for tap water and no refills, that should tell you all you need to know.

Dry burger, no condiments. Husband ordered med/well and it was med/rare. Two plan burgers, one with cheese and a large order of soggy, greasy fries was over $ 28. I don’t think we will be returning.

Staff was nice but my medium rare burger first came out raw… they took it back no problem but the second one wasn’t much better. Grill guy needs to figure out how to cook a burger properly. Fries good and chicken tenders were tasty. Very expensive but so is everything at the beach so I wasn’t surprised.

The burger was 9.75 and it didn’t fill up the bun. There was an added charge for cheese. The 4.00 fries were cold. The 4.00 large drink did not include a free refill. My 20.00 bill got swallowed up and I was left unsatisfied. Don’t go there, you won’t be happy. :(

Bear in mind we only got 1 order of fried pickles, a soda and cup of water. Pickles tasty and cooked perfectly. We waited about 5 – 6 min for our order. I was expecting a small cup of water but was given a HUGE big-gulp type cup of cold, ice water. Very nice. They do not take AMEX but do take other credit cards. Nice seating with views of Seaside crowds. Shaded seating. Friendly staff.

Was unaware my wallet fell out of my bathing suit. A few minutes later, received a phone call from the Manager stating he was holding it for me. I was so thankful for his call. All the $$$ and credit cards were still in my wallet. THANKYOU! Frank.

I went with my wife and son… we all got burgers, an order of fries, two sodas, and a water. The fries were great… the burgers were mediocre at best. Grand total? $ 50! No refills on any drinks — even cheese was extra… this place is over-hyped and WAY overpriced. It may be apples to oranges, but you can hop over to 5 Guys for a burger that is twice as good, for half the price.

On April 4th we visited the area and saw the sign for Pickles World Famous Burgers. We stopped in and ordered 2 Hamburgers, 1 large fry and 2 ice waters. I was floored our meal was almost $ 40. It was warm on this day and I was needing a refill on my ice water. I walked up to the counter and I was ignored by several of the employees. Even the skinny young man whom I assume was a manager type saw me standing and ignored me. I got a young ladies attention and asked for a refill of water. She said«we don’t do refills». I stood there a second and let that sink in and I said«you don’t do refills of ice water? She replied NO we do not. I responded, young lady I’m not asking for a refill of cola, it’s just water. She said the owner will not allow them to refill any products including water. I asked whom the owner was and for his/her contact number. She turned and walked away. I stood there for almost 5 minutes and asked another young lady the same thing. She said let me get the manager. The managers never came to assist me and the attitudes of the employees was just terrible. I later found out from my wife she paid $ 1.40 for the ice water I had so I walked back to the counter once more and asked the same first young lady again for a refill. I explained I had paid $ 1.40 for the cup and water and I felt at that price I deserved one refill. She turned and walked off and I could hear her behind the wall talking to I assume the manager. She never came back to help and I saw her and another young lady walk out the side entrance. The manager never came out from behind the wall to assist me. The business had terrible service from not only the employees but by the manager. The place was very over priced for what we got and the owner is false advertising saying they had World Famous Burgers. The burgers were ok but not even close to World Famous. I would not eat here again nor would I suggest this place to anyone. A person would be better eating a grilled cheese across the street at one of the Camper Trailers. I did that later on and it was probably the best Grilled cheese I had ever had. I’m in hopes the owner will see this and contact me or do something to improve his business. I give 2 stars only because of the atmosphere dining on the deck close to the beach.

The food was ok. My burger was over done but I did like the fries. Rude staff is the reason we will not be back. One of the members in our group went to the counter and asked how much for a refill. The person behind the counter said they don’t do refills you have to buy another soda. When asked how much for another soda the person replied I don’t know I don’t usually work here. My friend asked if she could have some water the person said sorry we don’t do that and walked away. As we are eating we have another staff member glaring at us because we have a baby stroller in her way as she’s sweeping. I suggest going across the street to the food trucks. I love the grilled cheese truck!

If Frozen burgers and over priced food is your thing then you will love this place! In fact the best thing I had there was a pickle! There are no free refills and the music was awful. Two burgers, two 16oz drinks, one large French fry and a corn dog $ 37.00! NEVERAGAIN!!! Save your money and eat elsewhere!!!

If you’re looking for over-priced food you can get at high school football game concession stands, this place is for you. Please take all of these reviews to heart. I don’t usually take the time to write reviews, but the food, service and overall experience was so bad it bothers me still, days after my encounter. My assumption is that their entire existence is based solely on tourists who just arrived and stopped at the first place they come to in Seaside. The reason I believe this is that no one in their right mind would ever visit this place twice or knowingly subject themselves to this terrible and over-priced Sysco Foods concession stand. My family and I had a grouper sandwich, a regular hotdog, kids chicken meal, two waters and lemonade. It was just shy of $ 30. The snotty kid who took my order acted as though I was bothering her. When asked which sandwich on the menu was better, she just glared at me and claimed she didn’t know. They were NOT busy and it took nearly a half hour to get what turned out to be insultingly small and poorly prepared portions of what we ordered. The hot dog was tiny and burned to a crisp in a microwave. The sign over the cash register reads NOREFUNDS. That should tell you that they’re asked enough that it warranted posting a sign. When’s the last time you saw this sign at ANY restaurant? Do yourself a favor, don’t wait to try any of the Airstream food stands across the street. We didn’t try them until out last day on the beach. We had a hot day from one and two sandwiches from The Great Melt and that was the best food we had all week in the area. I’m told the BBQ was great, but didn’t try it. Over-priced food in this area is going to be part of the experience. You know that going in. But it doesn’t have to leave you feeling scammed, which is what you will get at this place. We didn’t eat at The Shrimp Shack next door, but had planned to — until we discovered it was owned by the same group that operates Pickles. If that place and all of the similar reviews of this place is an indication of their abiding business management, I wouldn’t give them a nickel more of my money.

Not sure that this review will do much good, since it looked like everyone eating at Pickles was on impulse, but if you are planning where to go, avoid this place. We got in line at 7:45 because there were only four people in front of us. We finally ordered at 8:00. We ordered a grilled chicken, fried shrimp, grilled cheese and a cheeseburger. We finally got our food at 8:50, more than an hour from when we first got in line. My $ 15 shrimp basket had 5 shrimp, two small hush puppies and half a plate of cold fries. If cost $ 60 for a family of four to have essentially burgers an fried shrimp. Even worse, one family had waited 45 minutes for their food and when their name was called someone else grabbed their food and took off with it. Rather than wait again, the family asked for a refund and were told the policy was no refunds. He was understandable very upset.

Pickles is what it is… a burger joint in an overpriced tourist area. It’s Seaside! What do people expect? Nothing in Seaside is inexpensive. As for the food, it’s not great, it’s not terrible. It’s average. One thing that irked me was that they don’t give free refills on soft drinks. We all know drinks are the most profitable item for a restaurant… come on, Pickles. You can do better. If you’re going here expecting the best burger/dog/shrimp joint in town, you’ll be disappointed. If you go realizing it’s an over-priced touristy road-side burger stand in one of the most expensive communities on the Gulf, you’ll be fine. One last tip, bring your wallet, ’cause NOTHING is cheap here.
